前記上面と前記側面との交わりに位置する切刃と、を備え、
前記上面の中心と前記下面の中心を通る仮想軸をインサート中心軸とし、前記上面と前記下面との間に位置しかつ前記インサート中心軸に直交する仮想平面を基準面とした場合に、
前記上面は、
凸曲線形状のコーナ部、及び前記コーナ部から延びた直線形状の辺部を有する外縁と、
前記外縁に沿って位置するランド面と、
前記ランド面に沿って位置し、前記外縁に直交する断面において、前記ランド面から離れるにしたがって前記基準面に近づくように直線形状になっている主すくい面と、を有し、
前記ランド面は、
前記コーナ部に沿って位置する第1ランド面と、
前記辺部に沿って位置する第2ランド面と、を有し、
前記第1ランド面は、前記コーナ部に直交する断面において直線形状の第1直線部を有し、
前記第2ランド面の全体は、前記辺部に直交する断面において凸曲線形状である、切削インサート。 - 前記第1直線部は、前記コーナ部に直交する断面において、前記コーナ部から離れるにしたがって前記基準面に近づくようになっている、請求項1に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記コーナ部に直交する断面において、前記インサート中心軸に直交する仮想平面に対する、前記第1直線部の傾斜角は、前記主すくい面の傾斜角よりも小さい、請求項2に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記第1ランド面は、前記側面に接続され、前記コーナ部に直交する断面において円弧形状である第1円弧部を更に有し、
前記第2ランド面は、前記側面に接続され、前記辺部に直交する断面において円弧形状である第2円弧部を有し、
前記第1円弧部の曲率半径と前記第2円弧部の曲率半径とが同じである、請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の切削インサート。 - 前記第1ランド面における前記コーナ部に直交する方向の幅は、前記辺部に近づくにしたがって大きくなる、請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記コーナ部に直交する断面における第1直線部の長さは、前記辺部に近づくにしたがって大きくなる、請求項5に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記第2ランド面における前記辺部に直交する方向の幅は、前記コーナ部から離れるにしたがって大きくなる、請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の切削インサート。
- 前記ランド面は、前記第1ランド面と前記第2ランド面との間に前記辺部に沿って位置するする第3ランド面を更に有し、
前記第3ランド面は、前記辺部に直交する断面において直線形状の第2直線部を有する、請求項1から7のいずれか1項に記載の切削インサート。 - 前記第3ランド面における前記辺部に直交する方向の幅は、一定である、請求項8に記載の切削インサート。
- 第1端から第2端に向かって延びた棒形状であって、前記第1端の側に位置するポケットを有するホルダと、
前記ポケット内に位置する、請求項1から9のいずれか1項に記載の切削インサートと、を備える切削工具。 - 被削材を回転させる工程と、
回転する前記被削材に請求項10に記載の切削工具を接触させる工程と、
前記切削工具を前記被削材から離す工程と、を備える切削加工物の製造方法。
