Ein erfindungsgemäßer Abflusssieb, umfasst ein aus einem flexiblen Material ausgebildetes Gitter, wobei die einzelnen Stäbe 0,5 mm - 1 ,5 mm breit sind und das Gitter mittig ein Durchgangsloch aufweist. Ein solches Sieb hilft eine Verstopfung im Abfluss zu vermeiden und erleichtert die Reinigung, weil das Sieb einfach ausgetauscht werden kann, während der Nutzung den Abfluss nicht blockiert und der Abfluss dennoch mit einem Stopfen verschlossen werden kann. Das flexible Material kann ein Kunststoff wie beispielsweise PVC sein, die Hauptsache ist dass das Sieb in den Abfluss hineingedrückt werden kann. Das flexible Material ist vorzugsweise aber biologisch abbaubar und/oder kompostierbar. Beispielsweise kann das Abflusssieb aus Hanf, Holz oder einem anderen biologisch abbaubaren Material sein. Dadurch ist die Entsorgung umweltfreundlich ausführbar und muss nicht im Hausmüll geschehen. Generell muss das Gitter Durchangslöcher aufweisen, durch die Wasser abfließen kann, und gleichzeitig das Material auffangen kann, das nicht in den Abfluss gelangen soll. In eine mittigen Bereich ist ein Durchgangsloch 11 vorgesehen, durch den ein Abflusstopfen hindurchgesteckt werden kann. So wird das Abflusssieb mit einem Abflussstopfen kombinierbar. Um weiter auch Flügelstopfen kombinierbar zu machen, kann in dem Gitter ein Schlitzkreuz vorgesehen sein (siehe gestrichelte Linien in Figur 1). Die Schlitze erstrecken sich vom Durchgangsloch 11 ausgehend bis in den Randbereich des Gitters. Sie können sozusagen als zwei zueinander senkrechte Schlitze angesehen werden, die durch das Durchgangsloch 11 laufen.
