データ管理装置1は、インターネット、LAN(Local Area Network)、WAN(Wide Area Network)、専用線等によるネットワークを介して、1又は複数の出力データサーバー3、1又は複数の顧客サーバー7、及び1又は複数の細胞管理サーバー11と送受信可能に接続されている。データ管理装置1は、少なくとも、出力データサーバー3からのプロトコールを受信するための受信手段と、顧客サーバー7から注文情報と、培養装置8の位置情報と、を受信するための受信手段と、を有し、受信したデータを保存する記憶手段2を有する。受信したデータはデータベースとして保存されることが好ましい。
出力データサーバー3は、細胞を培養するための新たなプロトコールを開発するための培養装置4に備えられている。そして、新たなプロトコールをデータ管理装置1に送信するための送信手段を有する。プロトコールには、例えば、細胞培養するための、細胞の種類、培養条件(例えば、温度及びCO2濃度)、用いる培地の種類、経時的に測定する細胞マーカーの基準値、経時的測定する培地のpH基準値、経時的に測定する細胞密度の基準値などの情報が含まれていてもよい。
顧客サーバー7は、顧客が細胞を培養するための培養装置8に備えられている。培養装置8の構成は、出力データサーバー3に付随する培養装置4と同じであっても構わず、例えば、同じバイオリアクター10と同じ細胞センサー9を含んでもよい。特に出力データサーバー3に付随する培養装置4で新規のプロトコールが開発される場合、条件を揃えるために全くの同型機であることが好ましい。
細胞管理サーバー11は、細胞を保管している細胞管理庫12に備えられており、データ管理装置1から、顧客サーバーが送信した顧客からの注文情報と、顧客が目的の細胞を培養するための培養装置8の位置情報と、を受信するための受信手段を有している。さらに、データ管理装置1から、注文情報に付随している培養プロトコールや搬送物情報を受信してもよい。搬送物情報とは、顧客からの注文に応じて、顧客に搬送する搬送物を示す情報であり、培養に必要な材料(例えば培養用培地などの消耗品)についての情報が含まれる。これらの情報に基づき、顧客の必要な搬送品を培養装置8のある場所に搬送することが可能になる。
上記細胞培養管理システムを用いて、どのように細胞を管理できるかについて、いくつかの態様を例として詳細に説明する。
本管理システムを用いた細胞培養管理方法における基本工程について、図1~2を用いて記載する。
出力データサーバー3が、新規なプロトコールをデータ管理装置1に送るという実施態様について図3を用いて説明する。
顧客サーバー7が、実測培養データをデータ管理装置1にフィードバックするという実施態様について図4を用いて説明する。
細胞管理サーバー11が細胞の在庫を管理する一実施態様について図5を用いて説明する。
ここでは、顧客の側から見た、細胞培養管理システムの運用例を記載する。これらの実施形態により、顧客は目的とする細胞または細胞生産物を指定すれば、所定の培養装置で目的の細胞または細胞生産物を製造するのに適した培養プロトコールと細胞を取得でき、取得した培養プロトコールで細胞培養を行えば、再現性良く、細胞または細胞生産物を製造できるようになる。
顧客はあらかじめ、目的の細胞を培養するための培養装置を提供される。

第1の細胞を培養するための第1の培養装置に備えられた出力データサーバーと、
第2の細胞を培養するための第2の培養装置に備えられた顧客サーバーと、
第2の細胞を保存している細胞管理庫に備えられた細胞管理サーバーと、
を備えた細胞培養管理システムであって、
データ管理装置と、出力データサーバー、顧客サーバー、及び細胞管理サーバーとはそれぞれ送受信可能に接続されており、
前記出力データサーバーは、
第1の細胞を培養するための第1のプロトコールを前記データ管理装置に送信するための送信手段を有し、
前記顧客サーバーは、
第2の細胞を得るための注文情報と、第2の培養装置の位置情報と、を前記データ管理装置に送信するための1つまたはそれ以上の送信手段と、
第2の細胞を培養するための第2のプロトコールを前記データ管理装置より受信するための受信手段と、を有し、
前記データ管理装置は、
前記出力データサーバーから前記第1のプロトコールを受信するための受信手段と、前記顧客サーバーから前記注文情報と、第2の培養装置の位置情報と、を受信するための受信手段と、
前記出力データサーバーから受信した前記第1のプロトコールと、前記顧客サーバーから受信した前記第2のプロトコールと、前記注文情報と、前記第2の培養装置の位置情報と、を記憶する1つまたはそれ以上の記憶手段を有し、
前記細胞管理サーバーは、
前記注文情報と、前記第2のバイオリアクターの位置情報と、を前記データ管理装置より受信するための受信手段と、を有する
細胞培養管理システム。 - 前記出力データサーバーは、前記データ管理装置から第3の細胞を培養するための第3のプロトコールを受信するための受信手段を有する、請求項1に記載の細胞培養管理システム。
- 前記顧客サーバーは、第2の培養装置に設置された細胞センサーから得られる実測培養データを前記データ管理装置に送信するための送信手段を有し、
前記データ管理装置は、
前記顧客サーバーから送信された前記実測培養データを受信するための受信手段と、
前記顧客サーバーから受信した前記実測培養データを記憶する記憶手段と、
を有する、請求項1または2に記載の細胞培養管理システム。 - 前記細胞管理サーバーは、
前記細胞管理庫に存在する細胞の在庫情報を記憶するための記憶手段と、
前記在庫情報を前記データ管理装置に送信するための送信手段と、
を有し、
前記データ管理装置は、
前記細胞管理サーバーから送信された前記在庫情報を受信するための受信手段と、
受信した前記在庫情報を記憶するための記憶手段と、
を有する、請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の細胞培養管理システム。 - 第1の細胞を培養するための第1の培養装置に備えられた出力データサーバーと、
第2の細胞を培養するための第2の培養装置に備えられた顧客サーバーと、
第2の細胞を保存している細胞管理庫に備えられた細胞管理サーバーと、
を備えた細胞培養管理システムであって、
前記出力データサーバー、前記顧客サーバー、及び前記細胞管理サーバーは、それぞれデータ管理装置と送受信可能に接続されており、
前記出力データサーバーは、

- 前記顧客サーバーは、第2の培養装置に設置された細胞センサーから得られる実測培養データを前記データ管理装置に送信するための送信手段を有し、
