Definitions
- the present invention relates to an occupant restraint device for restraining an occupant seated on a vehicle seat.
- Airbag devices are almost standard equipment in recent vehicles.
- An airbag device is a safety device that operates in an emergency such as a vehicle collision, and inflates and deploys with gas pressure to receive and protect an occupant.
- a tension cloth is provided that is tensioned when the airbag is inflated and deployed and spreads between the airbag and both side surfaces of the seat cushion.
- the movement of the airbag can be regulated by the tension cloth. Therefore, it is possible to enhance the occupant restraint performance of the airbag.
- the movement of the airbag in a direction away from the occupant can be suitably restricted by the tension cloth, and the occupant restraint performance of the airbag has been dramatically improved.
- occupant restraint devices are constantly required to improve occupant restraint performance.
- an object of the present invention is to provide an occupant restraint device with further improved occupant restraint performance.
- a typical configuration of an occupant restraint device is an occupant restraint device that restrains an occupant seated on a vehicle seat, and the occupant restraint device includes left and right sides of a seat.
- a pair of airbags respectively housed inside and inflating and deploying to the left and right of the occupant, respectively, and are housed from inside the seat back of the seat to inside the seat cushion of the seat.
- a left-side tension cloth and a right-side tension cloth that extend in contact with each other and a lower-side tension cloth extending in the left-right direction inside the seat cushion and connecting front ends of the left-side tension cloth and the right-side tension cloth; It is located at least in the vicinity of the center in the left-right direction of the cushion, and is located further forward than the center in the front-rear direction of the seat cushion.
- the tension cloth is disposed inside the seat cushion so as to move away from the left and right ends of the lower tension cloth in both left and right directions as it goes rearward, and when the airbag is inflated and deployed, the left tension cloth and the right tension cloth are arranged. It extends to the side of the seat and is stretched between the seat back and the seat cushion.
- the left-side tension cloth, the right-side tension cloth, and the lower-side tension cloth are arranged on the lower side when the seat cushion is observed from above.
- tension cloths are arranged in a trapezoidal shape excluding.
- the length of the tension cloth is shorter than when the tension cloth is arranged along the outer periphery of the substantially square seat cushion (when the tension cloth is long). Therefore, the tension of the tension cloth can be increased, and the force for urging the airbag toward the occupant increases. For this reason, the occupant restraint performance of the occupant restraint device can be further improved.
- the pair of airbags is preferably provided inside the left and right sides of the seat back of the seat. With such a configuration, the above-described effects can be obtained.
- the portion where the outer skin of the seat cushion is torn by the left-side tension cloth and the right-side tension cloth is preferably located behind the center of the seat cushion in the front-rear direction.
- the portion of the left-side tension cloth and the right-side tension cloth that cleaves the skin of the seat cushion (hereinafter referred to as a “cleavage point”) is located in front of the center of the seat cushion in the front-rear direction.
- the length of the tension cloth can be made shorter. Therefore, the above-described effects can be enhanced.
- the left-side tension cloth and the right-side tension cloth are deployed on the sides of the seat, it is preferable that the left-side tension cloth and the right-side tension cloth pass between the seat back and the seat cushion on the sides of the thigh of the occupant.
- the occupant's thigh can be restrained by the left-side tension cloth and the right-side tension cloth developed on the side of the seat. Therefore, the occupant restraint performance can be further improved.
- the length of the lower tension cloth in the left-right direction is narrower than the width of the waist portion when the occupant sitting is viewed from the front when the left and right legs of the occupant are disposed in the center portion of the seat cushion in the left-right direction. Good. Thereby, the front ends of the left-side tension cloth and the right-side tension cloth connected to the lower tension cloth are arranged at positions close to the waist portion of the occupant. Therefore, the left-side tension cloth and the right-side tension cloth can more reliably and quickly restrain the occupant's waist, and the above-described effect can be enhanced.
