Le procédé comprend les étapes consistant à : identifier le mode de photographie actuel d'une unité photographique et le statut d'utilisation actuel du dispositif électronique (100) ; déterminer si le statut d'utilisation du dispositif électronique a ou non changé (102 ) ; et lorsque l'état d'utilisation du dispositif électronique a changé, commander l'unité photographique pour maintenir l'obtention d'une image dans le mode de photographie identifié (104). Selon la présente invention, le fait que le statut d'utilisation du dispositif électronique a ou non changé peut être déterminé, et une caméra correspondante est sélectionnée après que l'état d'utilisation du dispositif électronique ait changé. De cette manière, il n'est pas nécessaire qu'un utilisateur commute manuellement la caméra, ce qui permet d'améliorer l'expérience utilisateur.
