La cotiecte des ordures ménagères est effectuée dans toutes ies communes et agglomérations urbaines du monde au moins une fois par jour. C’est une opération qui exige des moyens colossaux en matêrie! et en budget, qui varient selon l’importance de ia densité de la population. Les études révèlent qu’un individu produit quotidiennement entre 0.900 et 1.400 Kg de déchets en moyenne. Les points de collecte constituent de véritables foyers de nuisance aussi bien par l’odeur qu’ils dégagent que par leur apparence désagréable. Elle ia fait tourner par gravité d’un quart 1/4 de tour pour vider les déchets dans le bac de récupération situé sous le conteneur.
