Abstract

A method of minimizing cryptocurrency monetary unit volatility includes emitting a cryptocurrency in a database (blockchain), on condition that the cryptocurrency is bought at a current exchange rate using fiat money, wherein a physical resource, such as gold, which has a stable price per unit of measurement is bought and saved. Upon initial emission, a currency exchange rate is announced that is equal to a unit of the physical resource, on condition that one cryptocurrency monetary unit is equal to one hundredth of a gram of the physical resource unit. Also, “Bitcoin” is a classic representative of the gold model. Bitcoins are digital coins that are issued according to an algorithm. Thanks to a predetermined algorithm, all users of this blockchain network know that by 2140, the total number of bitcoins will reach 21 million — no more and no less. At the same time, 21 million bitcoins are not issued at once, following the pattern of issuing money in central banks. Bitcoins are like gold: they are hidden in the mines, and in order to “mine” you need to perform a certain order of actions, as a result of which you will find only a part of all the reserves. That is why the first model is called "gold".

Blockchain is a database based on a continuous sequential chain of blocks (a linked list) built according to certain rules and containing information.

Deflation is a general decline in the price level, the strengthening of the currency, the opposite of inflation.

Cryptocurrency emission is set using a mathematical rationale for choosing the number of bitcoins, equal to 21 million, which corresponds to the rate of gold production as opposed to the need for it.

The amount of cryptocurrency that is purchased at the current rate for money (fiat money) is determined by mathematical justification.

It is known that the rate of cryptocurrency with respect to fiat money is formed on the basis of available supply and demand. At the same time, it is known that the value of cryptocurrency is strongly influenced by players with large assets, general panic, news, etc. This can be seen on the online graphs of exchange rate fluctuations (Figure 1), taken for Bitcoin cryptocurrency as of December 6, 2017 from https://coinspot.io/charts/

It is known that each bitcoin holder, taking advantage of the artificially created excitement and panic around the altered course, can raise or collapse it.

In 2013, when the rate of bitcoin was extremely unstable, the popularity of bitcoin derivatives increased significantly, as traders saw in them a way to protect against high volatility of cryptocurrency.

Working with futures will require minimal investments, because there is a margin trading option (this is a way to carry out cryptocurrency purchase and sale transactions using credit or collateral funds).

Bitcoin derivatives also include options.

There are two types of options:

- a put option giving the right to sell assets in the future at a specified price;

- a call option, the opposite in value of a put option, provides the right to buy an asset at a certain price.

The main difference between options and futures is that the purchase or sale of futures is mandatory, and the option offers the right to these operations (and not the obligation).

Depending on the market situation, the course may:

- rise or fall smoothly - this happens when players are able to buy Bitcoins;

- fall or rise sharply - this indicates that a player or players have come to the stock exchange, behind which there are huge assets, thanks to which they are able to instantly raise the cost of cryptocurrency to the maximum possible size or lower it. As a rule, such players

It is known that negative news about one or another cryptocurrency is published on the Internet in order to collapse the course and make money on it.

Such instability prevents the introduction of cryptocurrency for payments in many businesses.

The method of minimizing the volatility (volatility) of a cryptocurrency currency, is based on an algorithm for minimizing the impact of news and other factors on the cryptocurrency rate, namely:

1) The method of binding a cryptocurrency to a physical resource having a stable price, for example gold.

2) A way to ensure continuous growth of cryptocurrency leading inflation.
