- the invention relates to a trim module, in particular a bumper cover module or side skirts panel module, for a motor vehicle, in particular, but not limited to, a road vehicle, such as a passenger car, a bus, a truck, or a rail vehicle, in particular a drive Train or a locomotive having an ambient air cleaning device, which is designed in particular for the separation of dusts, in particular fine dusts, and / or gases sen. Furthermore, the invention relates to the motor vehicle.
- a road vehicle such as a passenger car, a bus, a truck, or a rail vehicle, in particular a drive Train or a locomotive having an ambient air cleaning device, which is designed in particular for the separation of dusts, in particular fine dusts, and / or gases sen.
- the invention relates to the motor vehicle.
- an external air filter which has a weather-resistant plastic housing which is mounted below a front bumper fascia.
- a pleated filter is arranged as a filter insert.
- the housing also has in each case an air inlet and an air outlet hood, which are intended to guide the wind so that the filter element can flow through in the vehicle vertical direction.
- the outside air filter works on the principle of dynamic pressure, with the result that during the drive of the vehicle under the vehicle or under the vehicle depressed air passes through the Lucaseintrittshutze in the filter housing and is filtered by the local filter insert.
- the filter element can consist of a multi-layered, moisture-resistant material.
- EP 1 837 066 A2 discloses a motor vehicle with a fine dust extraction system which has suction openings in the form of inlet funnels at various places on its underbody, inter alia on the brakes, the side sills and in the front and rear areas, which are fluidic and filtered are connected to a central negative pressure source, which is arranged in the underbody area. This is a very complex apparatus.
- DE 10 2016 200 936 A1 discloses a motor vehicle with a particulate matter collecting device which, in an area behind the rear vehicle wheels, has an air guiding structure for guiding the air from the caster, which is partially integrated into a rear bumper of the motor vehicle.
- the air guiding structure By the air guiding structure, a flow space is formed, in which a filter element not described in detail is arranged.
- Flow channel can also be provided a fan to ensure air circulation in case of insufficient passive flow.
- a disadvantage of the known from the prior art ambient air purifiers that are mounted on the front or rear bumper is that they have additional built-in parts that are partially embedded in the bumper and therefore visible from the outside. This is unacceptable for most vehicle customers. Furthermore, due to partially free-standing components of the ambient air purifier, the stringent requirements for pedestrian safety can not be met. Finally, the known ambient air purifiers also have functional disadvantages, since the filter surface provided is small and the cleanable air quantity is therefore also small.
- the object of the present invention is to provide an improved trim part, in particular a bumper trim part, which has an ambient air cleaner which is as invisible as possible and at the same time has a simple design and can clean the largest possible amount of air.
- the cladding module according to the invention which may be, for example, a bumper cladding module or a side sill panel module, is suitable for a motor vehicle, in particular road vehicle, in particular a passenger car, bus, truck, or rail vehicle, in particular a multiple-unit, locomotive.
- the trim module has at least one trim part, which has an inner side, which is designed to point in a mounting state to a motor vehicle body, and has an outer side, which is configured to face the surroundings in the assembled state.
- the trim part can be connected to the motor vehicle body and has an ambient air cleaning device arranged on its inside, which is designed in particular for removing particles, in particular fine dust, and / or gases from the ambient air.
- the ambient air cleaning device has at least one filter element receiving space, in FIG the at least one filter element is arranged.
- the fil terelement At least in its mounting position in the filter element receiving space on the inside of the trim part, the fil terelement has a non-cuboidal shape, which corresponds to an inner shape of the trim part.
- the non-cuboid shape of the filter element which is adapted to an inner shape of the trim part, allows optimal space utilization on the inside of the trim part, which is important in order to be able to obstruct as much filter material as possible and by means of the Ambient air purifying device to be able to filter large amounts of air as possible.
- the ambient air cleaning device can consist exclusively of the at least one filter element (passive flow).

- the at least one filter element can permanently have the non-cuboidal shape or can occupy it at least during its installation in the assembly position.
- non-cuboid for example, prismatic, cylindrical, conical, frustoconical, mono- or multi-axial curved bodies can be understood. It has surprisingly been found and verified by means of parametric simulation that a motor vehicle equipped with such a trim module with ambient air cleaning device is able to be regarded as a zero emission vehicle in the balance. Alternatively, embodiments of the cladding module are conceivable - even with less equipment expense - in which optionally only the particulate matter emission of brakes and / or internal combustion engine can be compensated by the ambient air cleaning device.
- the at least one filter element of the ambient air cleaning device can be completely enclosed by the trim part, at least on the outside. This ensures that it is virtually invisible from the outside, so that a motor vehicle silhouette is not affected, i. a design aspect is not disturbed by the integration of the ambient air cleaning device.
- the ambient air cleaning device can be accessible in certain embodiments from an underbody side, which makes sense for reasons of service.
- the trim part can be a bumper trim part, which in particular has an end-side transverse trim area which is designed to cover a vehicle body section in the vehicle transverse direction and has at least one grip area which is designed to to include a vehicle body portion in the vehicle longitudinal direction.
- the bumper cover member may be a front or rear bumper fascia so that the trim module according to this embodiment is a bumper fascia module.
- the trim part may be a side sill trim part.
- the at least one filter element of the ambient air cleaning device may be arranged in the transverse trim area and / or in the encompassing area of the bumper trim part, wherein the ambient air cleaning device preferably has two or more filter elements which are located both in the transverse trim area and are arranged in the Umgriffs Scheme.

- the filter element may be a flexible filter element which is deformable during assembly, in order to convert it into the assembled state with the non-cuboidal shape.
- the flexible filter element for example, have a pliable side seal, such as a side band of a nonwoven material. If the filter medium is also a nonwoven medium, provision may also be made for the sideband to be made of the same material.
- the filter element can in this case by og properties quasi be designed as a freeform.
- At least one air guiding opening can be present in the at least one gripping area and / or in the transverse cladding area.
- the air guide opening may be present in a region of a headlight surround of the transverse trim area.
- the transverse trim area pointing to the front or the rear.
- the air guiding openings can be provided as air inlet or air outlet openings.
- the air entry may be through an air guide opening in the transverse trim area and an air exit through an air guide opening of the wraparound area.
- the flow may be just reversed: ie. Air inlet through at least one air duct opening in the Umgriffs Scheme and air outlet through a Lucas arrangementsöff- tion in the transverse skin area, i. towards the outside or towards the inside (for example, to supply the air to an engine compartment behind it in the assembled state).
- transverse cladding region in the transverse cladding region there may be a coherent covering region of a predetermined height which extends substantially over a width of the bumper covering part, and which is closed on the outside, in which there are no air guiding openings.
- a space defined on the inside by the transverse region can here be filled to at least 30%, in particular to at least 60% by volume, of the at least one filter element of the ambient air cleaning device.
- volume fraction is understood to mean the volume of the outer enveloping body with respect to the filter element, without subtracting hollow fractions (eg a center region in the case of a round filter element). Specifically, this does not mean a net volume of filter medium.
- Said transverse region usually serves to receive a bumper provided on the motor vehicle, in particular with energy-absorbing properties, in particular with a "crash box". It can therefore be provided in particular to fill such volume regions of the space defined by the transverse region on the inside with filter element (s) which, in the assembled state, lie above or below the actual bumper.
- filter element s
- at least one fan or blower can be arranged in the trim part, in particular adjacent to the at least one air duct opening of the grip area and / or the transverse trim area.
- the fan or blower can be an axial, radial or diagonal flow machine. Advantages of a radial design can be seen in the good inte grability on elongated space, so that rotating parts can be obstructed installed, a comparatively large maximum pressure and their good energy efficiency can be seen. In contrast, an axial machine has the advantage that higher volume flows tend to be achievable, although this is offset by a somewhat lower maximum pressure. If a fan or blower is not sufficient, two or more fans or blowers can be connected in parallel or in series to achieve a predetermined volume flow.
- the fluidic connection can be made such that the at least one filter element of the ambient air cleaning device is arranged on the pressure or suction side of the fan or blower, wherein a suction-side arrangement is preferred, since this usually leads to a lower pressure loss.

- the filter element has a plurality of wrinkle stabilizing means, which support the filter bellows and are present at a lateral distance of not more than 150 mm from each other.
- the optional support of the filter bellows by means of pleat stabilizing means addresses two problems, in particular if the bumper cover module according to the invention is a front bumper covering module: Firstly, a filter element arranged there experiences a very high back pressure, and secondly the filter element is exposed to wetness, not only by Precipitation, but also by the effects of cleaning the vehicle, such as a high-pressure cleaner.
- the above-mentioned challenges can be elegantly solved by a support of the folds of the filter bellows by wrinkle stabilizing means in a maximum distance of 150 mm, so that the filter element survives both a flow at V ma x, eg 180 km / h, preferably> 200 km / h, without damage as well as that an external cleaning action by high-pressure cleaner does not have a damaging effect.
- wrinkle stabilizing agents a filter element with a classical bellows structure with such mechanical action threatens to package the folds, ie to close the interstices, which leads to a sudden loss of filter surface and thus directly to a corresponding increase in the throughflow resistance and thus corresponding drop in the volume flow.
- the range of the lateral distance of the wrinkle stabilizing means of not larger than 150 mm may be advantageously limited downwardly such that the distance is preferably greater than 15 mm, preferably greater than 30 mm, otherwise an unfavorable ratio of hidden by the wrinkle stabilizing agent Filter bellows areas and freely permeable areas vorläge.
- a parallel course has the advantage that it can be easily implemented in the filter element production by continuous manufacturing processes.
- An arrangement of the wrinkle stabilizing means in the transverse fold direction is also particularly advantageous, since in this case the smallest possible support length between two adjacent folds is realized, which leads to a particularly effective pleat support.
- the Faltenstabilmaschines- means at least on a clean air side of the filter element, preferably in addition to a raw air side of the filter element present.
- the filter medium has a bending inherent stiffness of at least 1 Nm 2 , preferably at least 2 Nm 2 . What is meant here is an intrinsic bending stiffness of the filter medium, ie in an unprocessed, ie unfolded, state.

- a service life increase of the main filter element can be achieved.
- a water-resistant property can be achieved, for example, by suitable impregnation of the filter medium or by using base materials for the filter medium, which per se already have a water resistance, e.g. synthetic filter media.
- the filter medium of the filter element may have at least one clean side, i. in the direction of travel at the rear, arranged support layer, in particular a support grid, in particular of a plastic, in particular polypropylene and / or a polyester.
- the support grid can have a mesh width of 0.5 mm to 4 mm, particularly preferably 1 mm to 2 mm.
- the support grid is advantageously folded during the bellows production to the filter bellows and is part of the filter medium; it serves for the rearward stabilization of the filter medium against dynamic pressure as a supplementary measure to inner and outer wrinkle stabilizing centers and is not to be confused with these.
