Abstract

The invention relates to a method of protecting building surfaces and can be used for the protective finish of both the new and old buildings, protecting them from the atmospheric factors and preventing their deterioration. The method includes formation of bands up to 7 mm thick of a finishing construction material; application on the surface of the building structure of an adhesive layer based on cement and water with a thickness of at least 3 mm; placing on the adhesive layer the bands of the finishing material in rows with displacement one relative to other, and simultaneous pressing on their surfaces until the adhesive seeps through vertically and horizontally between the bands of the finishing material and the finishing construction material is polymerized at the interaction of its components with the adhesive.

Description

A METHOD OF PROTECTING FINISHING FOR CONSTRUCTION STRUCTURES
Description
The invention relates to a construction, especially to a method of protecting the construction structures, and can be used for the protective finish of both the new and the old buildings, protecting them from the atmospheric factors and preventing their deterioration in the exploitation process.
It is known a method of protecting the junction of reinforced concrete elements by means of a protective finishing construction material in which the junction is filled with a hermetic mastic, and for the waterproofing there are formed the layers of material containing a mixture of latex and cement with reinforced material, for example chlorinated, with separation between the intermediate layers, for example by polyethylene film [1].
The disadvantage of this method is that it can be used only for some parts of the construction structures, that is the reason the method is practically inappropriate for an integral construction.
There is also known a method of repairing the roofs of buildings by means of a protective finishing construction material in form of roll. As a finishing construction material is used a sackcloth or glass material, which is polymerized with resin, for example with epoxy resin, followed by a mixture of this resin and paint [2].
The disadvantage of this method is that it can be used specifically for the roof, that is why it is practically unsuitable for building walls due to its liquid consistence.
The problem solved by the invention consists in preventing the deterioration of the parts of the construction structures placed vertically, both - to private sector buildings with several floors and to urban multistory buildings.
The essence of the invention consists in that the method of protecting the construction structures is to form bands of up to 7 mm thickness of a finishing elastic construction material comprising: quartz sand, an inorganic binder and an intermediate material of reinforcement; application on the surface of the building structure of a based adhesive layer of cement and water with a thickness of at least 3 mm; placing on the adhesive layer the bands of finishing material in rows, with displacement one relative to other, simultaneously pressing on their surfaces until the adhesive comes through vertically and horizontally between the bands of finishing material, as well the finishing construction material is polymerized at the interaction of its components with the adhesive ones.
Advantages of invention are the following:
The described combination of characteristics assures the possibility to avoid the occurrence of mixtures moving under the force of gravity, that is obtained by placing components of the polymerization mixture separately. The elastic protective finishing material comprises the first component of polymerization mixture, which at the joint permeate in the elastic protective material in an amount sufficient to polymerize it over its entire thickness, the reason why this material is manufactured in the form of bands of up to 7 mm, and the adhesive layer having a thickness of at least 3 mm. That is why the required method can prevent damage to the parts of the construction placed vertically.
The invention is explained by the drawings from Fig. 1-2, which represents:
- Fig. 1 shows the positioning of bands of elastically finishing construction material on the surface of the building structure;
- Fig. 2 shows the location of the adhesive when fixing the protective elastic construction material on to the surface of the building structure.
On the surface of the construction structure (Fig. 1 and 2) are applied the first band 1, the second band 2, the third band 3, the fourth band 4, the fifth band 5, the sixth band 6, the seventh band 7, as well as the adhesive layer 8 that is applied to the fragment 9 of constructional structure.
The method of finishing protection of the construction structures is executed in the following way:
Bands up to 7 mm thick are made of the construction material that presents protective finishing elastic (the first component of the polymerization mixture), which consists of quartz sand, an inorganic binder and an intermediate reinforcement material. This material is manufactured in the following way: the quartz sand is mixed with the inorganic binder until a homogeneous material is obtained, the material is formed with its simultaneous amplification through intermediate material, then it is exposed to heat treatment over the entire volume of the material with complete air evaporation.
After, it is applied on the surface of the construction structure (in Fig. 2 is shown fragment 9 of it) an adhesive layer 8 consisted from cement and water (the second component of the polymerization mixture) with a thickness of at least 3 mm, on the adhesive layer 8 there are placed finishing material bands in rows with displacement one relative to other, and manually simultaneous pressing on those surfaces until the seeping of adhesive onto vertically and horizontally between the bands of finishing material (Fig. 2, the bands 1 and 2). Displacement of the bands of the protective finishing material one relative to other may, for example, be half the band’s length: the first band 1 and the second band 2 of the first row are displaced relative to the third band 3, the fourth band 4 and the fifth band 5 - relative to the second row, and the third row - the sixth band 6 and the seventh band 7 are displaced in the same way. The placement of the third row may coincide with the placement of the bands in the first row. As well, the finishing construction material is polymerized at the interaction of its components with the adhesive ones.
The application of the proposed method offers the possibility to protect the parts of the construction structures which are placed vertically (it refers both to new and old constructions), to private sector buildings with several floors and to urban multistory ones.
