Definitions
- the present invention relates to a hinge arrangement, in particular a hidden hinge arrangement, comprising a first hinge member connected in a hinged manner to a second hinge member provided with a hinge lever and a clamping member which is fixed to an adjusting bracket and provided with a slot, wherein said hinge lever is inserted in said slot in the direction substantially perpendicular relative to the rotation axis of the hinge arrangement, and further comprising a mounting means for mounting said hinge lever in said clamping member, wherein said adjusting bracket is provided with through mounting openings in which mounting screws are embedded fixing said adjusting bracket on an underlay.
- hinge arrangements of the construction as described above are known from the prior art. Such hinge arrangements are mostly used for mounting door sashes or window sashes produced in a profiled technology in a hinged manner in frames also of a profile design. In particular they are used for mounting in a hinged manner internal or external door sashes, in particular on escape routes.
- Patent publication EP1223276 discloses an exemplary hinge arrangement for doors and windows, in which at least one hinge member is provided with a hinge lever having a tongue cooperating with a slot in a hinge member.
- the slot is open at the top and at the bottom and has an area of an increased diameter provided with a thread, which area may be closed by screws.
- the tongue of the hinge lever may be vertically adjusted within the slot.
- Pos. I-III For facilitating an installation of door sashes or window sashes without a necessity of supporting thereof during an installation a variant of the hinge arrangement T as described in the outset and shown in figures Pos. I-III has been proposed in the prior art for using in a connection of door sashes or window sashes produced in a profile design technology in a hinged manner in profile design frames. Clamp adjusting arrangement in the hinge arrangement V is depicted in details in the figures Pos. Il-lll. Numerical references used in Pos. I-III for the hinge arrangement 1’ known from the prior art are the same as numerical references in Figs. 1 -1 1 realting to elements of a hinge arrangement according to the present invention, which perform the same or similar functions, wherein in Pos. I-III they are additionally suffixed with apostrophes.
- the hinge arrangement 1’ serves for mounting a sash 5’ in a frame 4 of a door (not shown in the drawings) in a hinged manner.
- the hinge arrangement T comprises a first hinge member 2’ connected in a hinged manner with a second hinge member 3’.
- the hinge members 2’ and 3’ are fixed in appropriate openings of multi-material profiles of the frame 4’ and the sash 5’.
- the first hinge member 2’ comprises an adjusting bracket 2T mounted in an opening of the frame profile 4’ by means of four mounting screws 22’ running through its four longitudinal mounting openings 26’ and screwed into appropriate mounting sleeves not shown in the drawing.
- the bracket 2T is in turn connected to an internal yoke 23’ to which a bolt not shown in the drawing is fastened, wherein a profiled hinge lever 35’ of the second hinge member 3’ is mounted in a hinged manner on the bolt.
- Brackets 27T and 274’ are mounted by means of mounting screws 273’ respectively below and under the bracket 2T.
- the lower bracket 27T is an additional adjusting bracket of a vertical adjustment arrangement 27’ wherein the arrangement comprises also a threaded adjusting bolt 272’ installed in this additional bracket in parallel relative to the rotational axis of the hinge arrangement T. Screwing in or screwing out the adjusting bolt 272’ upwards or downwards on the adjusting bracket 27T results in either pushing the bracket 2T and the whole sash 5’ upwards or enabling for its gravitational movement downwards.
- the first hinge member 2’ is connected in a hinged manner to the second hinge member 3’ provided with a hinge lever 35’ and a clamping member 33’ fixed to the adjusting bracket 3T and provided with a slot not shown in the drawing, wherein said hinge lever 35’ is inserted into this slot in the direction perpendicular relative to the rotation axis of the hinge arrangement T, and mounting screws 335’ that connect the hinge lever 35’ in the clamping member 33’.
- clamping member 33’ has an appropriate recess 334’ opened at the side of the hinge lever 35’ insertion.
- a locking projection 353’ of the hinge lever 35’ and a locking plate 34’ are located in this recess 334’.
- the clamping member 33’, the hinge lever 35’ and the locking member 34’ are screw-connected with each other by means of mounting screws 335’ and 34T running through longitudinal mounting openings 354’ of the hinge lever 35’.
- the position of the hinge lever 35’ in the clamping member 33’ is blocked in a simple manner by means of the locking plate 34’.
- the locking plate 34’ has appropriate sleeve locking projections inserted to appropriate recession corresponding thereto formed in the clamping member 33’, resulting in that it is not further possible to shift the plate 34’ in the direction of the hinge lever 35’ insertion. From the other side, the locking projection 353’ of the hinge lever 35’ rests against and presses the locking plate 34’ under the influence of the weight of the sash 5’, thus providing an additional stabilization of the locking plate 34’ position.
- the second hinge member 3’ also comprises an adjusting bracket 3T constituting an element of a clamp adjusting arrangement 36’ based on two eccentric elements and depicted in the figures Pos. I and II in details.
- the clamping member 33’ is screwed using four mounting screws 314’ by means of an intermediary spacing block to the adjusting bracket 3T in its concave central part in parallel relative to the plane of a sash (not shown in the drawing).
- the adjusting bracket 3T is mounted using four mounting screws 32’ arranged in its coplanar terminal plates settled on the underlay 36T with its concave central part running through the central opening in this underlay 36T and positioned in an opening of a sash profile.
- the underlay 36T has four circular through mounting openings 362’ for mounting screws 32’ provided with locking sleeves 363’ located in locking openings corresponding thereto and formed in a sash profile and making displacing the underlay 36T over the sash impossible.
- the base cylinders 3642’ are located in openings matched thereto and formed in the underlays 36T, whereas the resisting pins 3641’ are located in adjusting ports 312’ extended longitudinally along the direction of the rotation axis A of the hinge arrangement T.
- Rotating the eccentric adjusting elements 364’ in the same direction with loose mounting screws 32’ results in displacing the adjusting bracket 3T along longitudinal mounting through openings (not shown in the drawing) on the bolts of the mounting screws 32’ in relation to the underlay 36T and the sash profile 5’, and thus results in adjusting the clamp of the hinge arrangement T.
- a disadvantageous feature of such an adjusting arrangement is that it enables adjusting a clamp only in an open state of the sash, as after closing the sash there is no access to the eccentric adjusting elements 364’. Moreover in order to change a clamp one should rotate both eccentric adjusting elements 364’ concurrently and in the same appropriate directions, what may not be intuitive for many assemblers. On the other hand by inappropriately rotating the eccentric adjusting elements 364’ one may cause a damage of the hinge arrangement T.
- An object of the present invention has been to provide a hinge arrangement providing a simplicity of mounting of door or window sashes, as well as simplified adjustement of tightening of a sash with respect to a frame after mounting the sash.
- the invention provides a hinge arrangement of the kind mentioned in the outset which is characterized in that said underlay has a protruded adjusting block located in an adjusting opening of said adjusting bracket and provided with a through adjusting opening extending along the direction substantially perpendicular relative to the rotation axis of the hinge arrangement, wherein an adjusting bolt provided with a torque application means is screwed into said adjusting opening, wherein said adjusting bracket is provided with retaining surfaces cooperating with the ends of said adjusting bolt, and at least one of said retaining surfaces is provided with an access adjusting opening for applying a tool to said torque application means of said adjusting bolt.

The present invention relates to a hinge arrangement, in particular a hidden hinge arrangement, comprising a first hinge member connected in a hinged manner to a second hinge member provided with a hinge lever and a clamping member which is fixed to an adjusting bracket and provided with a slot, wherein said hinge lever is inserted in said slot in the direction substantially perpendicular relative to the rotation axis of the hinge arrangement, and further comprising a mounting means for mounting said hinge lever in said clamping member, wherein said adjusting bracket is provided with through mounting openings in which mounting screws are embedded fixing said adjusting bracket on an underlay.
Background of the Invention
Numerous hinge arrangements of the construction as described above are known from the prior art. Such hinge arrangements are mostly used for mounting door sashes or window sashes produced in a profiled technology in a hinged manner in frames also of a profile design. In particular they are used for mounting in a hinged manner internal or external door sashes, in particular on escape routes.
Patent publication EP1223276 discloses an exemplary hinge arrangement for doors and windows, in which at least one hinge member is provided with a hinge lever having a tongue cooperating with a slot in a hinge member. The slot is open at the top and at the bottom and has an area of an increased diameter provided with a thread, which area may be closed by screws. The tongue of the hinge lever may be vertically adjusted within the slot.
An installation of such sashes in frames is often difficult, in particular in a case of metal profiles with multi-chamber glass panes, because a heavy sash has to be held, usually in hands, before hinge levers of all hinge arrangements employed in a given connection are inserted and fastened in corresponding clamping members.
For facilitating an installation of door sashes or window sashes without a necessity of supporting thereof during an installation a variant of the hinge arrangement T as described in the outset and shown in figures Pos. I-III has been proposed in the prior art for using in a connection of door sashes or window sashes produced in a profile
design technology in a hinged manner in profile design frames.
The hinge arrangement 1’ serves for mounting a sash 5’ in a frame 4 of a door (not shown in the drawings) in a hinged manner. The hinge arrangement T comprises a first hinge member 2’ connected in a hinged manner with a second hinge member 3’. In this example the hinge members 2’ and 3’ are fixed in appropriate openings of multi-material profiles of the frame 4’ and the sash 5’.
The first hinge member 2’ comprises an adjusting bracket 2T mounted in an opening of the frame profile 4’ by means of four mounting screws 22’ running through its four longitudinal mounting openings 26’ and screwed into appropriate mounting sleeves not shown in the drawing. The bracket 2T is in turn connected to an internal yoke 23’ to which a bolt not shown in the drawing is fastened, wherein a profiled hinge lever 35’ of the second hinge member 3’ is mounted in a hinged manner on the bolt.
An underlay 25’ made of a plastic is located between the bracket 21’ and the frame 4’. Brackets 27T and 274’ are mounted by means of mounting screws 273’ respectively below and under the bracket 2T. The lower bracket 27T is an additional adjusting bracket of a vertical adjustment arrangement 27’ wherein the arrangement comprises also a threaded adjusting bolt 272’ installed in this additional bracket in parallel relative to the rotational axis of the hinge arrangement T. Screwing in or screwing out the adjusting bolt 272’ upwards or downwards on the adjusting bracket 27T results in either pushing the bracket 2T and the whole sash 5’ upwards or enabling for its gravitational movement downwards.
The first hinge member 2’ is connected in a hinged manner to the second hinge member 3’ provided with a hinge lever 35’ and a clamping member 33’ fixed to the adjusting bracket 3T and provided with a slot not shown in the drawing, wherein said hinge lever 35’ is inserted into this slot in the direction perpendicular relative to the
rotation axis of the hinge arrangement T, and mounting screws 335’ that connect the hinge lever 35’ in the clamping member 33’.
Furthermore the clamping member 33’ has an appropriate recess 334’ opened at the side of the hinge lever 35’ insertion. A locking projection 353’ of the hinge lever 35’ and a locking plate 34’ are located in this recess 334’. The clamping member 33’, the hinge lever 35’ and the locking member 34’ are screw-connected with each other by means of mounting screws 335’ and 34T running through longitudinal mounting openings 354’ of the hinge lever 35’.
The position of the hinge lever 35’ in the clamping member 33’ is blocked in a simple manner by means of the locking plate 34’. The locking plate 34’ has appropriate sleeve locking projections inserted to appropriate recession corresponding thereto formed in the clamping member 33’, resulting in that it is not further possible to shift the plate 34’ in the direction of the hinge lever 35’ insertion. From the other side, the locking projection 353’ of the hinge lever 35’ rests against and presses the locking plate 34’ under the influence of the weight of the sash 5’, thus providing an additional stabilization of the locking plate 34’ position.
The second hinge member 3’ also comprises an adjusting bracket 3T constituting an element of a clamp adjusting arrangement 36’ based on two eccentric elements and depicted in the figures Pos. I and II in details.
The clamping member 33’ is screwed using four mounting screws 314’ by means of an intermediary spacing block to the adjusting bracket 3T in its concave central part in parallel relative to the plane of a sash (not shown in the drawing). The adjusting bracket 3T is mounted using four mounting screws 32’ arranged in its coplanar terminal plates settled on the underlay 36T with its concave central part running through the central opening in this underlay 36T and positioned in an opening of a sash profile. The underlay 36T has four circular through mounting openings 362’ for mounting screws 32’ provided with locking sleeves 363’ located in locking openings corresponding thereto and formed in a sash profile and making displacing the underlay 36T over the sash impossible. Whereas four through mounting openings (not shown in the drawing) for mounting screws 32’ in the terminal plates of the adjusting bracket 3T are elongated along the direction perpendicular relative to the
rotation axis A of the hinge arrangement T and perpendicular relative to the surface of the sash. The width of the central opening in the underlay 36T is greater than the width of the concave central part of the adjusting bracket 3T. The position of the adjusting bracket 3T in relation to the underlay 36T is determined by the angular positioning of the eccentric adjusting elements 364’, wherein each of these eccentric adjusting elements is provided with a resisting pin 364T protruded with a misalignment from the base cylinder 3642’. The base cylinders 3642’ are located in openings matched thereto and formed in the underlays 36T, whereas the resisting pins 3641’ are located in adjusting ports 312’ extended longitudinally along the direction of the rotation axis A of the hinge arrangement T. Rotating the eccentric adjusting elements 364’ in the same direction with loose mounting screws 32’ results in displacing the adjusting bracket 3T along longitudinal mounting through openings (not shown in the drawing) on the bolts of the mounting screws 32’ in relation to the underlay 36T and the sash profile 5’, and thus results in adjusting the clamp of the hinge arrangement T.
A disadvantageous feature of such an adjusting arrangement is that it enables adjusting a clamp only in an open state of the sash, as after closing the sash there is no access to the eccentric adjusting elements 364’.
An object of the present invention has been to provide a hinge arrangement providing a simplicity of mounting of door or window sashes, as well as simplified adjustement of tightening of a sash with respect to a frame after mounting the sash.

Description of preferred embodiments
Fig. 1 shows an exemplary hinge arrangement 1 according to the present invention used for mounting a sash 5 of office door (not shown in the drawing) in a hinged manner in a frame 4. The hinge arrangement 1 comprises the first hinge member 2 connected in a hinged manner with the second hinge member 3. In this example the hinge members 2 and 3 are mounted in corresponding openings of the frame 4 profile and the sash 5 profile. The profiles 4 and 5 are multi-chamber box profiles made of plastic material, for example of PCV. Uniform or chambered panes or elements made for example of tempered glass, plastic material or wood (not shown in the drawings) may be embedded in these profiles.
The first hinge member 2 comprises a bracket 21 depicted in the figure Fig. 5 in details. The bracket 21 is mounted in an opening of the sash 4 profile by means of screws 22 running through its four longitudinal mounting openings 26 and screwed in mounting sleeves not shown in the drawing. The bracket 21 is in turn connected with an internal yoke 23 to which a bolt 24 (cf. Fig. 5) is fastened in the vicinity of an external surface of the mounting opening formed in the profile 4, wherein a profile
hinge lever 35 of the second hinge member 3 is embedded in a hinged manner on this bolt 24.
An underlay 25 made of plastic material is located between the bracket 21 and the frame 4. Brackets 271 and 274 are mounted by means of mounting screws 273 respectively below and under the bracket 21 , wherein the lower bracket 271 is an element of a vertical adjusting arrangement 27, as shall be explained hereinafter.
The second hinge member 3 also comprises an adjusting bracket 31 mounted by means of screws 32 in a mounting recession of the sash 5 profile. The bracket 31 is connected to a clamping member 33 and concreates therewith one uniform element.
As illustrated in detail in the figure Fig. 4, the clamping member 33 has the first wall 332 and the second wall 333, wherein a slot 331 is formed between these walls in which a tongue 352 of the hinge lever 35 is inserted along the direction perpendicular relative to the longitudinal axis A of the bolt 24 of the hinge arrangement 1 and matched in shape to this slot 331. Furthermore the first wall 332 of the clamping member 33 has a recession 334 open at the side of the hinge lever 35 insertion. A locking projection 353 of the hinge lever 35 and a locking plate 34 are located in this recession 334, wherein the construction and functionality of the locking plate shall be described hereinafter with reference to the figures Figs. 2 and 3. The clamping member 33, the hinge lever 35 and the locking element 34 are screwed with each other by means of the screws 335 and 341 running through the longitudinal mounting openings 354 of the hinge lever 35. Wherein the mounting screws 335 runs through mounting through openings 339a in the first wall 332 of the clamping member 33 and are screwed into threaded openings corresponding thereto and formed in the second wall 333. Whereas the mounting screws 341 runs through mounting through openings 347 in the locking element 34 and are screwed into threaded openings 339b corresponding thereto and formed in the first wall 332 of the clamping member 33 in the area of the recession 337, so the screws do not have to be unscrewed during effecting a horizontal adjustment of the hinge arrangement, as shall be explained hereinafter.
Fig. 2 shows the hinge arrangement 1 in an open position just before its assemblage. Obviously the frame 4 has already been embedded and fastened earlier in an appropriate door opening in any arbitrary known manner.
Subsequently the sash 5 is being drawn onto the hinge lever 35 of the hinge arrangement 1 of the frame 4 in such a manner that the tongue 352 of the hinge lever 35 is inserted into the corresponding slot 331 of the clamping member 33. The slot 331 may obviously have any arbitrary profile and curvature in the plane perpendicular relative to the direction of the tongue 352 insertion.
In this position, the locking projection 353 of the hinge levers 35 is located in the recession 334 of the clamping projection 33. As the vertical width of the recession 334 is greater than the width of the locking projection, a limited travel of the hinge lever 35 in the clamping member 33 is possible for example for the purpose of taking out supporting elements from under the sash 5 which have been used for displacing the sash.
The position of the hinge lever 35 in the clamping member 33 corresponding thereto is subsequently blocked in a simple manner by means of the locking element 34 as is shown in Fig. 3.
The locking element 34 has in this embodiment a form of a C-shaped plate having two arms 343 and a retaining surface 342. Each arm 343 is provided with a locking projection 344 (depicted only on one arm 343) in a form of a sleeve matched to a cylindrical locking recession 336 formed in the first wall 332 of the clamping member 33. Thanks to that, after an insertion of the locking plate 34 into the clamping member 33 and an embedment of the locking projections 344 in the cylindrical locking recessions 336, a travel of the plate 34 along the direction of the hinge lever 35 insertion is not longer possible. At the other side the locking projection 353 of the hinge lever 35 leans against and presses on the retaining surface 342 of the locking plated 34 under the influence of the weight of the sash 5, and thus additionally stabilizes the position of the locking plate 34.
In this embodiment the clamping member 33 has additional recession 337 matched in a shape to the locking element 34 so that after an insertion thereof into the clamping member 33 the external surface of the locking plate 34 is flush with the external surface of the first wall 332.
Definitive locking protection of the hinge lever 35 in the clamping member 33 is obtained after an insertion of the mounting screws 335 into the openings 339a
formed in the first wall 332 of the clamping member 33, longitudinal mounting openings 354 in the hinge lever 35 and screwing the mounting screws in the threaded openings 339b formed in the second wall 333.
Figs. 6-8 depict in details the clamp adjusting arrangement 36 of the hinge arrangement 1 comprising an adjusting bracket 31 fastened to the sash 5 profile on the underlay 361 embedded in the mounting recession 51 of the profile 5.
The adjusting bracket 31 is connected to the clamping member 33 in the plane nonparallel relative to the plane of this clamping member 33 along the direction perpendicular relative to the slot 331 of the clamping member 33. In this particular embodiment, the adjusting bracket 31 is oriented perpendicularly relative to the rotation axis A of the hinge arrangement 1 and perpendicularly relative to the direction of the hinge lever 35 insertion into the slot 331 of the clamping member 33..
The underlay 361 comprises a recessed central part 3611 located in the mounting recession 51 and encompassed at both sided with coplanar terminal plates 3616 adhering an external surface of the sash 5 profile.
Mounting through openings 31 1 and an adjusting port 312 are formed in the adjusting bracket 31. The mounting through openings 31 1 have a cross-section which is longitudinal along the direction perpendicular relative to the rotation axis A of the hinge arrangement 1 and the mounting screws 32 are located inside these openings and fasten this adjusting bracket 31 to the recessed central part 361 1 of the underlay 361 by screwing these screws into the threaded mounting openings 362 and the locking sleeves 363a of the underlay 361.
The underlay 361 is mounted to the multi-chamber sash profile 5 by means of six additional mounting screws 321 running through the additional mounting openings 3621 and screwed into the walls of the sash profile 5. Two additional mounting openings 3621 are formed in the recessed central part 3611 of the underlay 361 , and the remaining four openings 3621 are formed in pairs in the terminal plates 3616. The additional mounting openings 3621 are provided with locking sleeves 363b. All locking sleeves 363 a and 363b are located in locking openings 52 corresponding thereto and formed in the sash profile 5 and precluding a displacement of the underlay 361 along the profile 5.
One additional mounting openings 3621 on the terminal plate 3616 is formed in the locking block 3615 protruded at the same side of the underlay 361 as the locking sleeves 363. The locking block 3615 has a cuboidal shape, extends along the rotation axis A of the hinge arrangement 1 and is located inside the mounting groove 53 of the sash profile 5. The mounting groove 53 is an element existing in the majority of sash profiles and serving for mounting sash accessories such as fittings. An employment of the locking block 3615 enables using this typical sash groove for a reinforcement of a stability of fastening the hinge arrangement 1 in the sash profile 5.
The adjusting block 3612 is protruded from the central part 361 1 of the underlay 361 and comprises an adjusting through openings 3613 formed along the direction perpendicular relative to the rotation axis A of the hinge arrangement 1. The adjusting through opening 3613 runs also along the direction perpendicular relative to the direction of the insertion of the hinge lever 35 into said slot 331 of the clamping member 33. A threaded adjusting bolt 3614 is screwed into the adjusting though opening 3613 and is provided at one end with a torque application means for a tool designed to rotate this bolt in a form of a polygonal seat.
The adjusting block 3612 runs through the adjusting port 312 in the adjusting bracket 31 and is encompassed with the retaining surfaces 365a, 365b on both sides along the direction perpendicular relative to the rotation axis A of the hinge arrangement 1 , in such a manner that the adjusting bolt 3614 in this adjusting block 3612 is located between the retaining surfaces 365a and 365b cooperating therewith
One retaining surface 365a is formed on the clamping member 33 and an access adjusting opening 366 formed in the clamping member is open at this surface. The access adjusting opening 366 runs coaxially relative to the adjusting bolt 3614 and leads to the torque application means (the seat) of the bolt and thus enables bringing an appropriate tool to the bolt 3614 for the purpose of rotating the bolt. The diameter of the access adjusting opening 366 is smaller that the diameter of the adjusting bolt 3614 in order to provide an appropriate leaning of this bolt against the retaining surface 365a without entering the access opening and jamming in the opening.
The second retaining surface 365b is located on the longitudinal retaining projection 313 protruded from the adjusting bracket 31 at the opposite side of the adjusting through opening 3 613 relative to the clamping member 33.
The hinge arrangement 1 according to the present invention enables easy adjustment of the position of the sash 5 in relation to the frame 4 after a mounting of the sash.
A vertical adjustment is provided by means of the vertical adjusting arrangement 27 of the first hinge member 2 which comprises an adjusting bracket 271 fastened to the frame 4, wherein in the bracket the adjusting bolt 272 is embedded in parallel relative to the rotation axis 4 of the hinge arrangement 1 .
In order to effect a vertical adjustment one should loose the mounting screws 22 of the all brackets 21 fastened to the frame 4. In a result the sash 5 shall then lean under the influence of its weight against the upward outermost adjusting bolt 272. Screwing in or screwing out of this adjusting bolt 272 upwards or downwards on the adjusting bracket 271 causes pushing this bracket 21 and the whole sash 5 upwards or else enables its gravitational movement downwards.
Underlays 25 located between the bracket 21 and the frame 4 are in this embodiment made of polyamide PA6 with a 30% fiber glass admixture and facilitate displacing the sash 5, constitute an additional thermal insulation and dissemble all defects and marks of mechanical processing and openings in the frame 4 which have been formed in order to embed the bracket 21.
After an adjustment of the position of the sash 5 in relation to the frame 4 one obviously has to again screwed in the mounting screws 22 of all brackets 21 of the frame 4 and sash 5 arrangement tight.
A horizontal adjustment is possible by means of the adjusting screw 351 situated in the locking projection 353 of the hinge lever 35 perpendicularly relative to the rotation axis A of the hinge arrangement, wherein an access to this adjusting screw is provided by the adjusting opening 345 in the locking element 34. Screwing in or screwing out of this adjusting screw 351 induces a pressure on the retaining surface 338 of the clamping member 33 or on the retaining surface 342 of the locking element 34, and thus causes an appropriate displacement of the tongue 352 along the mounting openings 354 in the slot 331 of the clamping member 33. Before then the mounting screws 335 have to be slightly loosed obviously in order to enable a
displacement of the hinge lever 35 in the slot 331. While the mounting screws 341 may remain screwed in the mounting openings 339b.
A precise determination of the extent of the travel of the hinge lever 35 in relation to the clamping member 33 is possible using an indicating mark 355 situated on the locking projection 353 of the hinge lever 35 and a scale 346 situated on the arms 343 of the locking plate 34.
Whereas an adjustment of a clamp of the hinge arrangement 1 , i.e. an adjustment of the position of the sash profile 5 in relation to the clamping member 33 and the hinge lever 35 along the direction perpendicular relative to the surface of the sash profile 5, is effected by means of rotating the adjusting bolt 3614 using an appropriate tool inserted through the access adjusting opening 366 in a state with loose screws 32 fastening the adjusting bracket 31 on the underlay 361 of the clamp adjusting arrangement 36. Rotating the adjusting bolt 3614 causes inducing a pressure by this bolt on one of the retaining surfaces 365a, 365b and thus displacing the adjusting bracket 31 relative to the underlay 361 along the longitudinal mounting openings 311 on the bolts of the loose mounting screws 32.
The figures are not necessarily to scale, and some features may be exaggerated or minimized, in order to provide better an invention illustration. These and other factors however should not be considered as limiting the spirit of the invention, the intended scope of protection of which is indicated in the appended claims. Therefore the presented embodiments should not be regarded as limiting the scope of protection defined in the patent claims.
