Description

MOBILE SYSTEM FOR EXCHANGING MULTIMEDIA CONTENT
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a mobile system for exchanging multimedia content and, more specifically, to a system for providing a communication between a guide to a plurality of travelers.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
TW201631545A discloses a mobile electronic travel cabinet includes a cabinet, and an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system, a speaker, an AP router and a GPS antenna respectively disposed in the cabinet. At least one handheld electronic device is placed within an accommodation space of the cabinet. A multimedia APP platform module is used for displaying a user interface of a multimedia APP platform. A tourist attraction information subsystem has a tourist attraction information mode and a secondary mode. A travel plan sharing platform subsystem has a travel plan sharing mode and a secondary mode. An attendance tracking subsystem has an attendance tracking mode and a secondary mode. A free communication subsystem has a free communication mode and a secondary mode. The mobile electronic travel cabinet of the present invention provides means of communication and interaction between the tour guide and the tour participants.
Exchange of multimedia content is associated with high energy demand. The handheld device is taken by a user on arrival at the touristic attraction. In this disclosed above, the handheld device in the standby condition is placed in the cabinet energized by an uninterruptible power supply and is charged.
Thus, there is a long-felt and unmet need to provide a guide-traveler communication system characterized by lowered energy consumption and prolonged operating time. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
It is hence one object of the invention to disclose a system for exchanging multimedia content within a wireless peer-to-peer network. The aforesaid system comprises: (a) a plurality of mobile devices configured for exchanging the multimedia content therebetween; and (b) a mobile router configured for creating the wireless peer-to-peer network and interconnecting the plurality of mobile device.
It is a core purpose of the invention to provide at least one of the mobile devices comprises a parser unit configured for segmenting the multimedia content into recurrent patterns and determining an occurrence frequency thereof and a coding unit configured for coding the recurrent patterns such that the multimedia content is converted into a compressed content flow with minimal latency for transmitting to other mobile devices. Each mobile device has a reconstructing processor configured for decoding the compressed content flow and a playback unit configured for playing a reconstructed multimedia content received from other mobile devices. The router is configured for receiving the compressed content flow at a rendezvous point thereof and multicasting the compressed content flow to at least a portion of the plurality of mobile devices.
Another object of the invention is to disclose the guide mobile device comprising an input means configured for inputting the multimedia content and a memory unit configured for storing input multimedia content.
A further object of the invention is to disclose at least one of the guide and traveler devices selected from the group consisting of a smartphone, a tablet computer, a laptop computer, a desktop computer or any combination thereof.
A further object of the invention is to disclose at least one of the guide and traveler devices having a customized software application which facilitates exchanging multimedia content between the guide and traveler devices.
A further object of the invention is to disclose the exchanging speech content which is performed in PCM 16 bit format.
A further object of the invention is to disclose a method of exchanging multimedia content between a guide to a plurality of travelers. The aforesaid method comprises the steps of: (a) providing system for exchanging multimedia content between a guide to a plurality of travelers; the system comprises: (i) a guide mobile device configured for transmitting the voice and video content from the guide, (ii) a plurality of traveler mobile devices configured for receiving the voice and video content; and (iii) a mobile router configured for creating a wireless network and interconnecting the guide mobile device and the plurality of traveler mobile devices; (b) establishing a network between the guide mobile device and traveler mobile devices; (c) exchanging multimedia content between the guide mobile device and traveler mobile devices.
It is another core purpose of the invention to provide the step of exchanging multimedia content between the guide mobile device and traveler mobile devices comprising: (a) segmenting the multimedia content into recurrent patterns and determining an occurrence frequency thereof and coding the recurrent patterns such that the multimedia content is converted into a compressed content flow with minimal latency by the guide mobile device; (b) receiving the compressed content flow at a rendezvous point thereof and multicasting the compressed content flow by the router to the plurality of traveler mobile devices; (c) decoding the compressed content flow each of the traveler mobile and reconstructing the multimedia content by each of the traveler mobile devices.

The following description is provided, so as to enable any person skilled in the art to make use of said invention and sets forth the best modes contemplated by the inventor of carrying out this invention. Various modifications, however, are adapted to remain apparent to those skilled in the art, since the generic principles of the present invention have been defined specifically to provide a system for exchanging multimedia content between a guide to a plurality of travelers and a method of doing the same.
Reference is now made to Figure, presenting a diagram of system 5 for exchanging multimedia content between a guide to a plurality of travelers. System 5 comprises guide mobile device 10, router 70 and a plurality of traveler mobile devices 80. Guide mobile device 10 further comprises application software 20 configured to control the following component of device 10. Means 30 is configured for input any multimedia content into system 5. Functionality of parser 40 is in segmenting the multimedia content into recurrent patterns and determining the frequency of their occurrence. Coding and compressing unit 50 provides a coded compressed content flow with minimal latency.
Router 70 receives the compressed multimedia content at its rendezvous point and multicasts the compressed content flow to the plurality of traveler mobile devices 80.
Each traveler mobile device 80 comprises application software 90 which controls reconstructing processor 100 which converts the compressed content flow in a naturally playable format. Finally, playback unit 110 plays the uncompressed multimedia content to the traveler.
According to the present invention, a system for exchanging multimedia content within a wireless peer-to-peer network is disclosed. It is a core feature of the invention to provide said step of exchanging multimedia content between said guide mobile device and traveler mobile devices comprising: (a) segmenting said into recurrent patterns and determining an occurrence frequency thereof and coding said recurrent patterns such that said multimedia content is converted into a compressed content flow with minimal latency by at least one of said mobile devices for transmitting to other mobile devices; (b) receiving said compressed content flow at a rendezvous point thereof and multicasting said compressed content flow by said router to at least a portion of said plurality of mobile devices; (c) decoding said compressed content flow each of said traveler mobile and reconstructing said multimedia content by at least a portion of said plurality of mobile devices.

Claims

Claims:
1. A system for exchanging multimedia content within a wireless peer-to-peer network; said system comprising:
a. a plurality of mobile devices configured for exchanging said multimedia content therebetween; and
b. a mobile router configured for creating said wireless peer-to-peer network and interconnecting said plurality of mobile devices;
wherein at least one of said mobile devices comprises a parser unit configured for segmenting said multimedia content into recurrent patterns and determining an occurrence frequency thereof and a coding unit configured for coding said recurrent patterns such that said multimedia content is converted into a compressed content flow with minimal latency for transmitting to other mobile devices;
wherein each mobile device has a reconstructing processor configured for decoding said compressed content flow and a playback unit configured for playing a reconstructed multimedia content received from other mobile devices;
wherein said router is configured for receiving said compressed content flow at a rendezvous point thereof and multicasting said compressed content flow to at least a portion of said plurality of mobile devices.
2. The system according to claim 1, wherein at least one of said mobile devices comprises an input means configured for inputting said multimedia content and a memory unit configured for storing input multimedia content.
3. The system according to claim 1, wherein at least one of said mobile devices is selected from the group consisting of a smartphone, a tablet computer, a laptop computer, a desktop computer or any combination thereof.
4. The system according to claim 3, wherein at least one of said mobile devices has a customized software application which facilitates exchanging multimedia content between said guide and traveler devices.
5. The system according to claim 1, wherein exchanging speech content is performed in PCM 16 bit format.
6. A method of exchanging multimedia content within a wireless peer-to-peer network; said method comprising steps of:
a. providing system for exchanging multimedia within a wireless peer-to- peer network; said system comprising:
i. a plurality of mobile devices configured for exchanging said multimedia content therebetween,
ii. and
iii. a mobile router configured for creating said wireless peer-to-peer network and interconnecting said plurality of mobile devices; b. establishing a network between said plurality of mobile devices;
c. exchanging multimedia content between said plurality of mobile devices; wherein said step of exchanging multimedia content between said guide mobile device and traveler mobile devices comprising:
a. segmenting said into recurrent patterns and determining an occurrence frequency thereof and coding said recurrent patterns such that said multimedia content is converted into a compressed content flow with minimal latency by at least one of said mobile devices for transmitting to other mobile devices;
b. receiving said compressed content flow at a rendezvous point thereof and multicasting said compressed content flow by said router to at least a portion of said plurality of mobile devices;
c. decoding said compressed content flow each of said traveler mobile and reconstructing said multimedia content by at least a portion of said plurality of mobile devices.
7. The method according to claim 6, wherein at least one of said mobile device comprises a input means configured for inputting said multimedia content and a memory unit configured for storing input multimedia content.
8. The method according to claim 6, wherein at least one of said mobile devices is selected from the group consisting of a smartphone, a tablet computer, a laptop computer, a desktop computer or any combination thereof.
9. The method according to claim 8, wherein at least one of said mobile devices has a customized software application which facilitates exchanging multimedia content between said guide and traveler devices.
