Abstract

The invention is applicable in medicine, especially in anaesthesiology, otorhinolaryngology, neonatology, anatomy, forensic medicine, etc. The spatula for laryngoscope allows direct measurement of anatomical structures, as well as calibration of optical video and photo equipment. It consists of a body (1), under which the blade is situated (3). Onto the blade (3) there is a longitudinal (4) transverse (6), geometrical (7) and colour (8) scale, through which the longitudinal and transverse dimensions of the studied anatomical structures are determined, as geometrical corrections and colour calibration of the images from the optical equipment are possible. By using the spatula for laryngoscope during direct examination of the anatomical structures increases the -accuracy and quality of the diagnostic and treatment procedures.

Description

SPATULA FOR LARYNGOSCOPE
TECHNICAL FIELD
The invention refers to a spatula for laryngoscope, which is applicable in medicine, especially in anaesthesiology, otorhinolaryngology, neonatology, anatomy, forensic medicine, etc.
The spatula for laryngoscope allows direct measurement of anatomical structures, as well as calibration of optical video and photo equipment.
BACKGROUND ART
Known spatulas for laryngoscope are [1], which being attached to a handle, are used for intubation and examination of the oral cavity, the larynx and the hypopharynx.
With these spatulas for laryngoscope it is not possible to perform quantitative and qualitative assessment of the studied objects during diagnostic and treatment procedures. It is not possible to perform geometrical correction and colour calibration of the images, received by the optical equipment when it is used together with the commonly known spatulas for laryngoscope.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The task of the invention is to create a spatula for laryngoscope, which would make possible the qualitative and quantitative assessment of the studied anatomical structures, geometrical correction and colour calibration of the images from the optical equipment.
The task is solved with a spatula for laryngoscope, in which there are scales, that allow the measurement of the monitored organs, geometrical corrections and colour calibration from the optical equipment.
The spatula for laryngoscope consists of a body, under which the blade is situated. In the left side of the blade, a tip is formed. Under the right side of the blade there is a spatula head.
Onto the blade there are longitudinal, transversal, geometrical and colour scale. The longitudinal scale is situated lengthwise onto the blade. The transversal scale is at the top. The geometrical scale is next to the transversal scale. The colour scale is found between the longitudinal scale and the geometrical scale.
The geometrical scale is formed as a reference raster. The colour scale contains one or more reference colours.
The advantage of the spatula for laryngoscope is that during direct examination, the accuracy and quality during diagnostic and treatment procedures are increased by:
- Quantitative and qualitative assessment of the studied anatomic structures;
- Entering geometrical corrections and colour calibration in the images from the optical equipment.
DES CRIPTION OF THE FIGURE IN THE DRAWING
Exemplary application of the invention is schematically shown on the enclosed figure 1 - spatula for laryngoscope.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
Figure 1 shows a spatula for laryngoscope that consists of a body 1, under which a blade 3 is situated. On the left side of the blade 3, a tip 5 is formed. Under the right part of the blade 3 there is a spatula head 2.
Onto the blade 3 to the tip 5 there is a longitudinal 4, transverse 6, geometrical 7 and colour 8 scales. The longitudinal scale 4 is situated lengthwise onto the blade 3. The transverse scale 6 is near the tip 5. The geometrical scale 7 is next to the transverse scale 6. The colour scale 8 is situated between the longitudinal scale 4 and the geometrical scale 7. The longitudinal 4, the transverse 6, the geometrical 7 and the colour 8 scale are formed as permanent marking onto the blade 3.
The geometrical scale 7 is formed as reference raster. The colour scale 8 contains one or more reference colours.
It is possible that the geometrical scale 7 is formed with another reference geometrical figure.
In other exemplary implementations, it is possible that the longitudinal 4, transverse 6, geometrical 7 and the colour 8 scales are formed onto a stand-alone sticker, attached to the blade 3, which is not shown on figure 1. It is possible that the spatula for laryngoscope contains longitudinal 4, transverse 6, geometrical 7 or colour 8 scales each of them separately or in combination of some of them. It is also possible that under the right part of the blade 3, a handle to be fixedly connected, which is not shown on figure 1. After entering the spatula for laryngoscope near the organs to be examined during diagnostic and treatment procedures, registration, reporting and assessment of the anatomic structures are carried out through the longitudinal 4, transversal 6, geometrical 7 and the colour scale 8, as the visibility is provided by artificial lighting, incorporated into the body 1, which is not shown on the figure 1. The longitudinal 4 and the transverse scale 6 are linear metrical and are designed for measurement of the longitudinal and transverse dimensions of the studied anatomical structures.
The geometrical scale 7 and the colour scale 8 are designed for qualitative assessment of the studied anatomical structures through colour calibration and geometrical corrections of the images from the jointly used optical equipment, which is not shown on figure 1.
