Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 9-319313 discloses a vehicle display including a hologram provided on a windshield of a vehicle body, a light source for irradiating light on the hologram, and display light image projection means for projecting a light image on the hologram. An apparatus is described. In the vehicle display device, the light emitted from the light source displays a virtual image of the hologram three-dimensional image as fixed information ahead of the front end of the vehicle body. Further, in the vehicle display device, a light image is projected onto the hologram by the display light image projecting unit, whereby a virtual image indicating variable information is displayed between the front end of the vehicle body and the windshield.

Thus, in the vehicle information display device described above, a virtual image is displayed in front of the front end of the vehicle body, and a virtual image is displayed between the front end of the vehicle body and the windshield, thereby generating motion parallax. This aims at the effect that the driver can easily bring the vehicle body close to an obstacle such as a wall and reduce the contact of the vehicle body with the obstacle.

However, since the vehicle display device described above displays two types of virtual images outside the vehicle body rather than the front window, information provided to the driver of the vehicle may be insufficient. Specifically, when the driver is gazing outside the vehicle body, information can be provided to the driver. However, when the driver is not paying attention to the outside of the vehicle body, a problem that information is not sufficiently provided to the driver may occur.

Thus, in the information display device described above, there is a concern that the information provided to the driver is insufficient. Further, in the information display device described above, since two types of virtual images are displayed outside the vehicle body from the front window, there is a concern that information may be complicated. Therefore, there is room for improvement in the ease of understanding information.

This disclosure is intended to provide an information display device that can provide information to a driver of a vehicle in an easy-to-understand manner and can make the information easier to grasp.

An information display device according to the present disclosure is an information display device that displays information to a driver who operates a vehicle, and includes a first display unit that displays an image in front of the driver, a front window of the vehicle, and the image. And a second display unit that displays a virtual image at a position closer to the driver.

The information display device includes a first display unit that displays an image, and a second display unit that displays a virtual image at a position closer to the driver than the front window and the image. By displaying the virtual image at a position closer to the driver than the front window, the virtual image is displayed as if it is raised to the near side when viewed from the driver. Therefore, since the impact of the information to be displayed can be increased by displaying the virtual image on the second display unit, the information can be provided to the driver in an easily understandable manner. The second display unit displays a virtual image at a position closer to the driver than the image displayed by the first display unit. Therefore, by complementing the image of the first display unit with the raised virtual image of the second display unit, the impact of the image and the virtual image can be increased, and the driver's attention can be drawn to the image and the virtual image. Therefore, information can be made easier to grasp. Moreover, since the display of the second display unit is a virtual image, even if it is displayed near the driver, the operation of the driver is not hindered. Furthermore, even if the driver falls in the virtual image direction (forward) at the time of an accident or the like, the driver can be prevented from colliding with the information display device. Therefore, the display of the virtual image contributes to the driver's safety.

Further, the first display unit may display a virtual image at a position outside the vehicle from the front window. In this case, since the image of the first display unit is displayed outside the front window, the driver does not need to refocus in order to view the image of the first display unit during driving. In addition, the driver can visually recognize the virtual image on the first display unit without diverting the line of sight. Therefore, driving safety can be enhanced.

Further, the information display device described above may include an audio output unit that outputs audio in conjunction with the display of the second display unit. In this case, since the second display unit is displayed with sound, the impact of information can be further increased. Therefore, even if the driver is not gazing at the virtual image on the second display unit, the driver's attention can be drawn by voice. Accordingly, information can be provided to the driver more reliably, and the ease of grasping the information can be further enhanced.

Further, the information display device described above may be provided with a camera for photographing a passenger of the vehicle. In this case, for example, it is possible to detect whether or not the driver is likely to fall asleep by taking a picture of the driver's eyelids. Can be encouraged. Therefore, the driver's drowsiness can be more reliably suppressed. Moreover, a passenger's intent can be recognized because a camera image | photographs the gesture which a passenger performs. For example, the temperature adjustment of the air conditioner can be executed by the camera shooting the temperature adjustment gesture in the vehicle.

Further, the information display device described above may include a sound acquisition unit that acquires sound inside the vehicle. In this case, for example, when the voice acquisition unit acquires the voice of the passenger's instruction, the passenger's instruction can be recognized by voice. For example, information such as the position of the destination can be displayed on the first display unit or the second display unit by acquiring a voice indicating the destination.

Further, the upper end of the second display unit may be positioned below the lower end of the front window. In this case, it is possible to suppress the second display unit from obstructing the field of view in the field of view spreading in the front window.

According to the present disclosure, it is possible to provide information to the driver of the vehicle in an easy-to-understand manner and to make the information easier to grasp.

(First embodiment)
The information display device 1 according to the present embodiment is an information display device that constructs an HMI (Human Machine Interface) between a vehicle and a passenger of the vehicle. In this specification, the “passenger” indicates a person riding in the vehicle, and includes a driver who drives the vehicle and a person other than the driver who sits in the passenger seat or the rear seat.

The information displayed by the information display device 1 includes vehicle information related to the vehicle such as speed information, road information such as information on a route toward the destination, and risk information including the presence or absence of a pedestrian in proximity to the vehicle. And may contain further information. The information display device 1 can make the information easier to grasp by providing enriched information to the passengers of the vehicle in a more user-friendly manner.

FIG. 1 shows the field of view as seen from the driver seated in the driver's seat of the vehicle. As shown in FIG. 1, the information display device 1 is disposed between the driver of the vehicle and the front window W. The information display device 1 includes a first display unit 10 positioned in front of the driver, a second display unit 20 positioned on the left side of the first display unit 10 when viewed from the driver, and a camera 30 that captures the passenger. And an audio acquisition unit 40 that acquires audio and an audio output unit 50 that outputs audio.

1 and 2, the first display unit 10 is, for example, a HUD (Head-Up Display) attached to the dashboard D of the vehicle. The first display unit 10 displays vehicle information, road information, and risk information. The first display unit 10 includes a display panel 11 that emits light L1, a combiner 12 that has a curved shape, and a support unit 13 that is a table placed on or inside the dashboard D.

The combiner 12 has, for example, a horizontally long rectangular shape. However, the shape of the combiner 12 can be changed as appropriate. For example, the dashboard D includes a camera 30 and a voice acquisition unit 40. As described above, the camera 30 captures a vehicle occupant. However, the camera 30 may capture only the driver. Moreover, the sound acquisition unit 40 acquires sound inside the vehicle.

The first display unit 10 forms a virtual image 10a ahead of the front window W, and the virtual image 10a corresponds to the image of the first display unit 10. The light L1 emitted from the display panel 11 is reflected by the combiner 12, and the light L2 reflected by the combiner 12 reaches the eyes of the driver. Further, the light is reflected and transmitted by the combiner 12, whereby a virtual image 10 a is formed in front of the front window W. Thus, the driver recognizes the virtual image 10a displayed at a position outside the front window W.

As shown in FIG. 1, the second display unit 20 is disposed on the upper surface of the dashboard D, for example. For example, the second display unit 20 provides information linked to information displayed by the first display unit 10 and displays contents for assisting the display of the first display unit 10. The second display unit 20 may display the same vehicle information, road information, and risk level information as the first display unit 10. In the present embodiment, the second display unit 20 displays a person image H that is spoken to a vehicle occupant.

As described above, when the second display unit 20 displays the person image H, it is possible to provide information that is easy for a passenger of the vehicle to be familiar with, and to provide information to the passenger more reliably. Further, the second display unit 20 is arranged such that the upper end 20b is positioned below the lower end W1 of the front window W. The information display device 1 includes an audio output unit 50 that outputs audio in conjunction with the display of the second display unit 20. The audio output unit 50 outputs, for example, the voice of the person image H described above.

The voice output unit 50 may output a voice that reads information displayed on the first display unit 10 or may output a voice that supports the information displayed on the first display unit 10. As described above, the sound output of the sound output unit 50 is interlocked with the display of the first display unit 10, so that more reliable information can be provided by vision and hearing.

As shown in FIG. 3, the second display unit 20 includes an AI (Aerial Imaging) plate 22 (registered trademark) that is an aerial imaging element, a liquid crystal panel 23, a storage unit 24 that stores the liquid crystal panel 23, And a holding unit 25 that holds the AI plate 22. In addition, illustration of the audio | voice output part 50 is abbreviate | omitted in FIG. The AI plate 22 is manufactured using, for example, a technique described in Japanese Patent No. 4865088. The liquid crystal panel 23 may be a display of a mobile terminal such as a PC (personal computer), a tablet terminal, or a mobile phone.

The accommodating portion 24 is, for example, a rectangular box shape. The accommodating portion 24 has a notch 24a through which a cable or the like of the liquid crystal panel 23 is passed on one side surface thereof. In the accommodating part 24, the liquid crystal panel 23 is arrange | positioned so that the display surface 23a may become substantially horizontal. The holding part 25 is inclined with respect to the accommodating part 24 (horizontal direction). For example, the inclination angle of the holding part 25 with respect to the accommodating part 24 may be variable. The holding portion 25 has a rectangular frame shape, and has a frame-shaped opening 25 a that exposes the AI plate 22. The AI plate 22 is held in the opening 25a.

As shown in FIG. 4, the image on the liquid crystal panel 23 is displayed as a virtual image 20 a by the AI plate 22 at a position behind the AI plate 22 and the liquid crystal panel 23 (driver M side). The light L4 emitted upward from the liquid crystal panel 23 and incident on the AI plate 22 is reflected twice by the AI plate 22 and forms a virtual image 20a in a space located on the driver M side. The position where the virtual image 20a is formed is closer to the driver M than the front window W and the image (virtual image 10a) on the first display unit 10.

Further, the lower end 20c of the virtual image 20a of the second display unit 20 when viewed from the driver M is above the virtual line X extending obliquely downward by an angle θ with respect to a plane extending forward from the eyes M1 of the driver M. Located in. The angle θ is, for example, 30 °. When the angle θ is 30 ° or less, the driver M can visually recognize the virtual image 20a without tilting the head. That is, by setting the position of the lower end 20c above the virtual line X, the driver M can surely visually recognize the virtual image 20a while facing the front.

FIG. 5 is a block diagram showing a configuration of each part of the information display device 1 described above. As shown in FIG. 5, the information display device 1 further includes a control unit 60. The first display unit 10, the second display unit 20, the camera 30, the sound acquisition unit 40, and the sound output unit 50 described above can all communicate with the control unit 60.

制御部60は、例えば、CPU(Central Processing Unit)、ROM(Read Only Memory)及びRAM(Random Access Memory)を備えて構成されている。 The control unit 60 includes, for example, a CPU (Central Processing Unit), a ROM (Read Only Memory), and a RAM (Random Access Memory). Each function of the control unit 60 is realized by loading a program stored in the ROM into the RAM and executing it by the CPU. Further, the form and arrangement location of the control unit 60 are not particularly limited.

The control unit 60 includes, for example, a gesture recognition unit 61, a voice recognition unit 62, and a dozing detection unit 63. The gesture recognizing unit 61 stores in advance predetermined gestures (for example, a “finger up” gesture and a “finger down” gesture). For example, when a passenger of the vehicle makes a gesture with his finger pointing up, the camera 30 captures a gesture with his finger pointing up, and the captured image is output to the gesture recognition unit 61. At this time, the gesture recognizing unit 61 recognizes a gesture in which a finger is turned upward, and performs control for increasing the set temperature of the air conditioner of the vehicle, for example.

Similarly, the gesture recognizing unit 61 may perform control to lower the set temperature of the air conditioner of the vehicle when recognizing a gesture with a finger pointing downward. Thus, the passenger can raise the set temperature of the air conditioner simply by pointing his finger up in front of the camera 30, and the passenger can lower the set temperature of the air conditioner simply by pointing his finger down in front of the camera 30. Can do. In this manner, the gesture recognition unit 61 recognizes the passenger's gesture from the image taken by the camera 30 and operates the vehicle equipment.

The voice recognition unit 62 recognizes the voice acquired by the voice acquisition unit 40 and operates the equipment of the vehicle. For example, when the passenger of the vehicle says the name of the destination to the voice acquisition unit 40, the voice acquisition unit 40 acquires the passenger's voice, and the voice is output to the voice recognition unit 62. At this time, the voice recognition unit 62 recognizes the voice of the passenger and displays the location of the destination on the first display unit 10, for example. Along with the display of the destination location, the voice recognition unit 62 causes the voice output unit 50 to output voice guidance of the destination based on the person image H while displaying the person image H as the virtual image 20a on the second display unit 20. .

As a result, the passenger can only display the destination location on the first display unit 10 and display the moving image of the person image H on the second display unit 20 just by speaking to the voice acquisition unit 40. It is possible to cause the voice output unit 50 to output voice guidance of the person image H. As a specific example, when the passenger says to the voice acquisition unit 40 that he is hungry, the first display unit 10 displays the location of a restaurant located near the vehicle, and the second display unit. The voice output of the restaurant can be output to the voice output unit 50 while displaying the moving image of the person image H on the screen 20.

The dozing detection unit 63 detects whether the driver M is dozing from the image of the driver M taken by the camera 30. For example, the dozing detection unit 63 detects whether the driver M's heel is falling from the image, and determines whether the driver M is dozing according to whether the heel's falling state exceeds a predetermined value. . When it is determined that the driver M takes a nap, the dozing detection unit 63 causes the second display unit 20 to display the person image H as a virtual image 20a, and outputs to the audio output unit 50 a warning sound based on the person image H. Let

Thereby, when the driver M is likely to fall asleep, the dozing detection unit 63 detects the dozing from the captured image of the camera 30, the second display unit 20 displays the person image H, and the audio output unit 50. Outputs a warning sound of the person image H. Accordingly, the driver M who is likely to fall asleep can be awakened by receiving the alert of the person image H by the second display unit 20 and the audio output unit 50.

Next, functions and effects of the information display device 1 according to this embodiment will be described.

As shown in FIG. 1, the information display device 1 includes a first display unit 10 that displays an image, and a second display unit that displays a virtual image 20 a at a position closer to the driver M than the front window W and the image. 20 is provided. When the second display unit 20 displays the virtual image 20a at a position closer to the driver M than the front window W, the virtual image 20a is displayed as if it is raised to the near side when viewed from the driver M. Therefore, since the impact of the information to be displayed can be increased by displaying the virtual image 20a of the second display unit 20, the information can be provided to the driver M in an easily understandable manner. Further, by displaying the person image H as the virtual image 20a, the impact of information can be further increased. Furthermore, since the display of the second display unit 20 is the virtual image 20a, even if displayed near the driver M, the operation of the driver M is not hindered. Moreover, even if the driver M falls in the virtual image direction (forward) at the time of an accident or the like, the driver M can be prevented from colliding with the information display device 1. Therefore, the display of the virtual image 20a contributes to the safety of the driver M.

Further, the second display unit 20 displays the virtual image 20a at a position closer to the driver M than the image displayed by the first display unit 10. Therefore, by complementing the image of the first display unit 10 with the raised virtual image 20a of the second display unit 20, the impact of the image and the virtual image 20a is increased, and the driver M is concerned about the image and the virtual image 20a. Can be drawn. Therefore, information can be made easier to grasp. In addition, the driver M can be more strongly alerted by the image of the first display unit 10 and the virtual image 20a of the second display unit 20, so that the driver M can be prevented from falling asleep.

Further, the first display unit 10 displays the virtual image 10a at a position outside the vehicle from the front window W. Accordingly, since the image of the first display unit 10 is displayed outside the front window W, the driver M does not need to refocus in order to view the image by the first display unit 10. Further, the driver M can visually recognize the virtual image 10a of the first display unit 10 without diverting his line of sight during driving. Therefore, driving safety can be enhanced.

In addition, the information display device 1 includes an audio output unit 50 that outputs audio in conjunction with the display of the second display unit 20. Accordingly, since the second display unit 20 is displayed with voice, information can be provided reliably. Therefore, even if the driver M is not gazing at the virtual image 20a of the second display unit 20, the driver M can be attracted by voice. Accordingly, information can be provided to the driver M more reliably, and the ease of grasping the information can be further enhanced.

In addition, the information display device 1 includes a camera 30 that captures a passenger of the vehicle. Therefore, it is possible to detect whether the driver M is likely to fall asleep when the camera 30 photographs the driver's bag. Then, when the driver M is likely to fall asleep, alerting can be urged by the virtual image 20a (person image H or the like) of the second display unit 20. As a result, the driver M can be more reliably prevented from falling asleep. Further, the intention of the passenger can be recognized by the camera 30 shooting the gesture performed by the passenger. For example, the temperature adjustment of the air conditioner can be executed by the camera 30 shooting a gesture for adjusting the temperature inside the vehicle.

Further, the information display device 1 includes a sound acquisition unit 40 that acquires sound inside the vehicle. Therefore, for example, when the voice acquisition unit 40 acquires the voice of the passenger's instruction, the passenger's instruction can be recognized by voice. For example, in the information display apparatus 1, information such as the position of the destination can be displayed on the first display unit 10 or the second display unit 20 by the voice acquisition unit 40 acquiring the voice of the destination instruction. .

Further, the upper end 20b of the second display unit 20 is located below the lower end W1 of the front window W. Therefore, it is possible to suppress the second display unit 20 from obstructing the field of view in the field of view widened by the front window W.

The AI plate 72 is located above the liquid crystal panel 73 and is arranged to be parallel to the dashboard line. The AI plate 72 may be disposed along the dashboard line, or may be disposed below the dashboard line.

The light L5 emitted upward from the liquid crystal panel 73 forms a virtual image 70a by the AI plate 72 at a position above and behind the AI plate 72 (driver M side). The position at which the virtual image 70a is formed is closer to the driver M than the front window W and the image on the first display unit 10.

As described above, in the information display device according to the second embodiment, in addition to the first display unit 10 that displays an image, the virtual image 70a is displayed at a position closer to the driver M than the front window W and the image, as in the first embodiment. The 2nd display part 70 to display is provided. Therefore, since the virtual image 70a is displayed as if it is raised to the near side when viewed from the driver M, the information can be provided to the driver M in an easily understandable manner. Therefore, the same effect as the first embodiment can be obtained.

Further, the second display unit 70 is arranged below the dashboard line that is a surface along the dashboard D. Therefore, since the 2nd display part 70 is arrange | positioned so that it may not protrude from a dashboard line, it can suppress more reliably that the 2nd display part 70 becomes the obstruction of the driver | operator's M visual field.
