Abstract

The invention relates to a wireless device installed in every small boat, these devices communicating with a central wireless device in a maritime security centre responsible for the area. The purpose of this network is to wirelessly transfer requested data to boats in various languages, and the boats can also make a rescue request. The central wireless device periodically sends the coordinates of every item that the boats require, such as suitable fishing, swimming and diving locations, beaches, towns overlooking the sea, islands, locations for maritime trade and tourism, seaside restaurants, maritime maintenance workshops, entertainment centres, maritime safety points, maritime fuelling stations, hazardous locations and prohibited locations, and whether or not autopilot is allowed. The central wireless device also sends other data unrelated to the coordinates, such as temperature, humidity, Islamic prayer times, the likelihood or actual occurrence of rain, high waves or storms. The device of the boat displays the requested items, showing the directions and dimensions thereof in relation to the location of the boat. The device shows the boat driver how to reach to the requested location using the information, and the boat is driven to the location by the driver or automatically without a driver. The device also warns the driver when approaching a dangerous or prohibited location and shows the appropriate direction to avoid from said location. The device comprises a touchscreen showing options for the vessel driver to select, and a speaker for broadcasting audio messages.
