Abstract

A multifunction tool consists of a holder, having two slots, where there inside in the holder displaceable is provided a ball pen and a knife, and where the displacement is provided by operation of two buttons, said buttons are arranged outside on the slots, and said buttons are connected to the ball pen and the knife. The holder is cylinder formed and downwards terminated with a domed part, said part having a hole through which the ball pen and the knife can be lead. By the invention a useful multifunction tool is provided, that is aimed at users, opening packages, f inst. In connection with mail sorting of packages.

Description

Multifunction tool.
The invention relates to a multifunction tool. In GB 2 380 708 A, a ball pen is disclosed, said ball pen is combined with a tool in the form of a knife.
The ball open and the knife are placed in opposite ends of an elongated house, and by activation of a button outside the house, the knife can be fed in or out of the house, since the fed of the knife out of the house means that the ball pen is fed into the house and vice versa.
In other words, it means, that either the knife or the ball pen is fed out of the house.
On this background it is a purpose with the invention to provide a multifunction tool, where both the tool and the ball pen can be fed into the house.
The purpose is fulfilled with a multifunction tool, that is characterized in that that it comprises a holder having at least two slots, and where there inside the holder displaceable is provided at least one ball pen and a tool, sad displaceable of the ball pen and the tool is provided by operating one of two buttons, said buttons are placed at the outer side of the holder in each slot, and that the holder is terminated by part that runs out in a narrowed direction away from the holder and that there in the narrowed part is provided a hole. It is expedient, as stated in claim 2 that, that the tool is a knife, or as stated in claim 3, that the holder is formed as a cylinder, that is terminated with a domed part with a hole, through which the ball pen and the tool is displaced.
In order to increase the functionality of the multifunction tool, it is advantageous if, at stated in claim 4, that there in the narrowed part is provided a channel, said channel is terminated by a hole in the narrowed part, where the displacement of the tool in the channel is provided. In this way the tool can have dimensions that is not limited to the size of the hole in the narrowed part for feed of the ball pen.
In operation of the multifunction tool it is advantageous if, as stated in claim 5, that the ball pen and the tool inside the holder is prestressed by a spring, said spring has two ends, where one of the ends is fixed to a bottom in the holder, whereas the opposite end is fixed to an end of the ball pen or the tool.
The invention will now be explained in connection with the drawing on which
Fig. 1 shows a multifunction tool in form of a knife combined with a pen ball in a first function state, whereas
Fig.2 shows the multifunction tool on fig. 1 in another function state on fig. 1.
On the figures, 1 denotes a holder, having two slots, 2, 2a in the holder I, Inside the holder is placed a ball pen 3 having an ink ball 9 and a tool, here shown as a knife 4, with a cutting edge 10. The tool could also be a marking tool, an awl or the like.
As it can be seen, the ball pen 3 and the knife 4 in each of their own ends a button 5, 5a, is lead out through the slots 2, 2a.
The holder 1 has a bottom 13 with two fixing points 15, 15a, for fixing one end of springs 12, 12a, the opposite ends of the springs are fixed in fixing points 14, 14a, on the end of the ball pen respectively the knife 4.
As it can be seen, is the holder 1 terminated with a narrowed part 7 with a hole 8. The narrowed part is here shown domed, 11 denotes a clip intended for holding the multifunction tool e.g. in a shirt pocket.
On fig 1. The button 5 with the ball pen 3 is displaced out of the holder 1 and the domed part 7 through the hole 8, that causes the spring 12 to be extended.
On fig 2. the knife is lead through the hole 8, the same way as the ball pen shown on fig. 1. In a non-shown variant, it is possible in the domed part to provide a channel, that is lead out of a hole in the wall of the domed part. In the channel the knife can be placed such that the hole can be giving a size that is adapted to the size of the knife.
The multifunction tool is operated in the following way:
If the knife or the ball pen wanted to be led through the hole 8 in the holder 2, the button 5, 5a is brought to slide in the slot 2, 2a, such that the button 5, 5a is locked in the transverse slot that is arranged in the lower end of the slot, 2, 2a.

Claims

C I A I M S
1. Multifunction tool, characterized in, that it comprises a holder having at least two slots, and where there inside the holder displaceable is provided at least one ball pen and a tool, sad displaceable of the ball pen and the tool is provided by operating one of two buttons, said buttons are placed at the outer side of the holder in each slot, and that the holder is terminated by part that runs out in a narrowed direction away from the holder and that there in the narrowed part is provided a hole.
2. Multifunction tool according to claim 1, characterized in, that the tool is a knife.
3. Multifunction tool according to claim 1 - 2, characterized in, that the holder is formed as a cylinder, that is terminated with a domed part with a hole, through which the ball pen and the tool is displaced.
4. Multifunction tool according to claim 1 - 2, characterized in, that there in the narrowed part is provided a channel, said channel is terminated by a hole in the narrowed part, where the displacement of the tool in the channel is provided.
5. Multifunction tool according to claim 1 - 4, characterized in, that the ball pen and the tool inside the holder is prestressed by a spring, said spring has two ends, where one of the ends is fixed to a bottom in the holder. Whereas the opposite end is fixed to an end of the ball pen or the tool.
