Abstract
The invention refers to a therapeutic walker for use thereof in physiotherapy and medicine so as to provide for easier users mobility, characterized in that it comprises a main frame with wheels used as a support for the user and mechanical clamps, anchored to said frame and together with a control system, assisting in the movement of a user with damaged motor skills.
Description
THERAPEUTIC WALKING FRAME
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The present invention may be included in the technical field of physiotherapy and medicine, in particular for assisting the motor skills of users with movement difficulties.
More specifically, the object of the invention refers to a therapeutic walking frame that assists in and provides for easier users mobility by means of a frame having wheels and mechanical clamps.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION In the technical field of physiotherapy, one of the most frequent tasks is the rehabilitation of people with damaged motor skills due to an accident, health problems or age. For this purpose, it is necessary the use of devices such as walking frames that hold the users body and help them move during the rehabilitation process or their daily life.
Document US2459066 describes a structure consisting of a frame provided with tubing and rods, rails and wheels telescopically arranged so as to allow adjustment thereof and a central pad allowing the user to seat and be fastened while moving.
Patent US6733018 describes a walking frame that allows supporting the body weight provided with two gas-actuated lifting arms mounted onto a frame and a harness holding the user's body. Patent US9180066, describes a walking frame supporting the user's weight and body onto an intermediate support at the patient inner thigh and by means of a mechanism of articulated bars for changing the position thereof.
Therefore, considering the previous documents it is necessary to find alternatives directed to a therapeutic walking frame that assists in and provides for easier users mobility, that is easy to handle, made of a light material, and which adapts to any need and any user.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The object of the invention refers to a therapeutic walking frame assisting in and providing for easier users mobility by means of a frame comprising wheels and mechanical clamps.
Therefore, an aspect of the present invention refers to a therapeutic walking frame so as to provide for easier users mobility comprising:
- a frame comprising a main column,
- at least one mechanical clamp anchored to the frame and to the user's body,
- at least one sensor and one mechanical actuator in the clamp that makes it easier for the user to realize the required movements for moving about,
- a control system for the sensor and the actuator, arranged in the frame, and
- at least one wheel at the bottom of the frame. In a preferred embodiment the frame is characterized in that it also comprises two side handles.
In another preferred embodiment the frame comprises a clamp system holding the user by the waist, thigh, calf and ankles.
In another preferred embodiment, the control system is located in a box arranged on the frame having a control device that allows the user to handle the therapeutic walking frame. In another preferred embodiment the walking frame is made of a light and resistant material.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS FIG 1 - it shows a side and front view of the therapeutic walking frame.
FIG 2 - it shows a side view of the mechanical clamps of the therapeutic walking frame. PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
The following is a description of a preferred embodiment of the invention based on the attached figures.
FIG 1 - It shows the therapeutic walking frame (1 ) comprising a main column (2) and side handles (3) with wheels (4) and a control system arranged in a box (6) in the frame with a control device (5).
FIG 2 - It shows a side view of the mechanical clamps being anchored to the main column (2) that hold the user by the waist (6), thigh (7), calf (8) and the ankles (9).
