Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for determining a user authorization of a predestined user of a motor vehicle.
  • the predestined user is an expected user of the motor vehicle, or, in other words, an anticipated or predetermined user of the motor vehicle.
  • Piloted motor vehicles can perform a longitudinal control and a lateral control of the motor vehicle fully autonomously, i. drive without driver intervention. Piloted motor vehicles can be used as taxis, for example. This creates the problem that recognition of the passenger by the motor vehicle is difficult to achieve. Even with teilautonom or manually controlled motor vehicle in which, for example, a taxi driver can sit, there is the problem that the driver usually does not know who to pick up. So the questions arise as to how the potential passenger recognizes the taxi, for example in a metropolis, where there are many taxis, and how the taxi recognizes the right person.
  • US 2015/0339928 A1, DE 10 2015 010 748 A1 and US 2015/0279131 A1 address this problem.
  • US 2015/0279131 A1 describes the recognition of the desire of a user by a gesture recognition device of the motor vehicle. However, this does not solve the above-mentioned problems because even an unauthorized user can execute these gestures.
  • US 2015/0339928 A1 describes a system for controlling a motor vehicle fleet. When the autonomous motor vehicle arrives at a pickup location at which the motor vehicle is to pick up a user, the motor vehicle can recognize a mobile terminal of the user.
  • DE 10 2015 010 748 A1 describes a method for switching a transport service, wherein an autonomous transport motor vehicle can receive position data of an interested transport service customer and then autonomously adapt its direction of travel accordingly.
  • US 2016/0301698 A1 describes a technology for authorizing a passenger of an autonomous vehicle to use the motor vehicle as a taxi.
  • the described picking up of an interested transport service customer does not solve the above-mentioned problems.
  • the proposal to detect a user's mobile terminal is a consideration for solving the above-mentioned problems. This solution is sufficient in an area where there are few vehicles, for example, on land or in a village. However, in a large city, where there are a great many taxis, there is still the problem of allocating the passenger the correct motor vehicle - and the motor vehicle to the correct passenger.
  • An object of the invention is to improve an association of motor vehicle and user to each other.
  • the invention is based on the idea of using two different codes for such allocation and for determining a user's authorization to use.

  • the authentication device performs a comparison of the detected authentication code of the mobile terminal with the authentication code received from the allocation device, and depending on a result of the comparison, the determination of a user authorization of the user takes place. For example, the comparison may show that the authentication code transmitted by the assignment device to the mobile terminal matches the authentication code transmitted by the assignment device to the authentication device. The authentication device may then determine that the user of the mobile terminal is authorized to use the motor vehicle and thereby authenticate the user. When determining the authorization to use, unlocking of a motor vehicle door can preferably take place.
