Abstract

The claimed group of inventions relates to the art of an individual informing certain parties that s/he is in an emergency situation. A system for signalling distress in the event of a threat to personal safety is equipped with a communication means which can be programmed using a mobile application. Said means is configured in the form of a ring or signet ring worn by a user, and is equipped with a unit for transmitting a distress signal about a threat to personal safety to a remote centralized help structure. The centralized help structure is designed to wirelessly receive signals carrying data about the coordinates of the source of a signal from a user, and is equipped with an interactive map of the locality for visually displaying the location coordinates of a signal source.
