Description

DESCRIPTION
SYSTEM FOR WOOD PLASTIC COMPOSITE (WPC) LAMINATION ON ANY KIND OF METAL
This invention is about a lamination system of wood plastic composite (WPC) on any kind of metal and it consists of driver stand, centering group, metal profile or panel, driver reel group, heat transfer tube, wpc lamination form, extruder machine, support stand, driver switchboard sections.
Known Status of the Technique
In the current applications, aluminum profile and panels, wooden profiles and panels and plastic profiles and panels are used in the construction and furniture sectors. However, when aluminum profiles and panels are used, hot and cold transmission becomes high due to their heat transfer coefficients. Therefore, they cannot protect their usage areas against external factors. They incur corrosion and oxidization. They are not decorative. Plastic profiles and panels are weak in terms of resistance since they have a low strength in such areas of use. They have a short lifespan. They are not preferred since they do not feature suitable decorative characteristics. Wooden profiles and panels are generally used in construction sector and furniture sector. However, wooden profiles and panels have a low resistance against external factors when compared with our invention. They can be affected and their qualities can be deteriorated easily. They lose their decorative features in time. Therefore additional work is required. They need continuous maintenance such as varnish and paint application. Also, when wooden profiles or panels are used, they need to be insulated against water, translating into additional cost. Finally; when aluminum, wood and plastic profiles and panels are used individually they have a low strength and require insulation against heat and water. They have high flammability characteristics with low decorative features.
Explanation of the Invention
With our invention, which is a system which performs wood plastic composite (WPC) lamination on any kind of metal, all of the aforementioned issues will be eliminated. With our invention, forms as indentations and protrusions will be created for metal profiles and panels, lamination will be performed with the lamination material named WPC and new generation metal profile and panel production will be realized. Lamination with WPC raw material using wpc locking system is easier and the product output will be of higher quality. Wpc locking system allows adhesion and locking of wpc raw material on metal profile and panel.
Wpc raw material can be locked on any metal profile and panel shape which can be created by Wpc locking system. With our invention, metal profiles or panels are fed into the machine and laminated in a full automatic fastion.
Application Procedure of the Invention
Switch of the extruder machine (7) is turned on and allowed to heat up. When it reaches to the required temperature metal profile or panel (3) is placed on the driver stand (1). Centered properly and accurately by being routed through centering groups (2), the metal profile or panel (3) is pushed towards driver reel groups (4). Driver reel groups (4) drive the metal profile or panel (3) through heat transfer tube (5) towards wpc lamination form (6). The purpose of the heat transfer tube (5) is to preheat the metal profile or panel which is at room temperature before being introduced to wpc lamination form (6) which is at nearly 185°C. The lamination process is performed in a more balanced and stable fashion by the help of this preheating process. Metal profile or panel (3) which leaves the wpc lamination form (6) upon being laminated progresses on the support stand(8). When the required length of the metal profile or panel (3) is completed, the new metal profile or panel (3) is driven and the procedure is repeated until the required quantity is reached. This wpc laminated metal profile or panel is called hybrid profile or hybrid panel. Lamination material which is called WPC (wood + polymer + composite) is a mix of raw materials containing woodchip, pvc granules and binding materials. Lamination of the metal profile or panel (3) surface with WPC raw material is realized with indented and protruded shapes on the metal profile or panel (3) which is called as wpc locking system. WPC raw material is injected to wpc lamination form while in fluid form from the extruder machine (7). Meanwhile, it is filled to the indentations and protrusions created on the metal profile or panel (3) which is being driven on the stand (1) and then it passes over support stand (8) and cools down to room temperature. It hardens and maintains the form that is given when it reaches to room temperature.
