Description

TITLE OF THE INVENTION
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF ON-LINE/OFFLINE ORDERING OF GOODS AND SERVICES AGAINST EQUIVALENT AMOUNT OF REDEEMABLE POINTS
Technical Field of the Invention
[0001] Present invention relates to a system for online ordering of goods and services. More particularly, to a method for providing equivalent amount of redeemable points on ordering goods and services through an application software installed and/or accessed from a communication device of an user.
Background of the Invention
[0002] Now a day's, a wide variety of on-line retailers operate virtual stores from which consumers can purchase products as well as services. Redeemable points are offered on purchases promoting a manufacturer's product or service while on an ongoing sale at a price. The consumers are entitled to redeem these coupons received at a retail/online store at a later point, while purchasing of other products. There exist systems and methods offering these redeemable points on purchases, offering redeemable points against a selected stock of a next sale. These redeemable points in the form of vouchers and coupons are losing significance in business as the products and services being offered are of low value or of inferior quality.
[0003] Prior art U.S. Patent 9129302 discloses a coupon service application operated on multiple platforms. The application claims, maintaining a home consumable product within user's home and a shopping list of consumable products that the user wants to purchase and compare these consumable products against a database of available coupons. User can save, share coupons and monitor the price of the products and compare the product against the average price and track historical savings. Brief Summary of the Invention
[0004] A principle object of the invention is to provide equivalent amount of redeemable points on ordering goods and services through an application software installed and/or accessed from a communication device of a user.
[0005] According to a first aspect of present invention, a computer implemented system for online ordering of goods and services is disclosed. The system comprising application software installed and/or accessed from a communication device of a user to perform the operations of presenting, a list of goods and services offered for sale listed into categories. The system performs an operation of receiving, a selection of the goods and services listed for purchase from the user accessing through his login, wherein the listed goods and services are associated with equivalent value of points that are offered to the user against the purchase. The system performs an operation of presenting, a list of destinations participating in the redemption of accumulated points. It also presents a finalized cart for one or more financial transactions to complete the online ordering.
[0006] The system performs an operation of receiving and presenting, from the payment system, an estimated time of completion and delivery of the order, wherein the payment system is configured to process a financial transaction between the merchant and the user for the order.
[0007] In accordance with the first aspect of present invention, the online sale on the system is a free sale of goods and services as the points accumulated against the sale can be redeemed for an equivalent value of products or services.
[0008] In accordance with the first aspect of present invention, the instructions further comprise receiving, from the payment system, an electronic bill for the order with the accumulated credit that can be used at participating stores. [0009] In accordance with the first aspect of present invention, the application is configured to store data describing at least one financial payment instrument of the user, and wherein the application is able to utilize the data describing the at least one financial payment instrument to facilitate the financial transaction between the merchant and the customer for the order.
[0010] In accordance with the first aspect of present invention, the system further performs operations of receiving, from the payment system, and from a logistics partner, an estimated time of completion for preparation of the order.
[0011] In accordance with the first aspect of present invention, the system further performs operations of receiving, from the logistics partner, an estimated time for delivering the order.
[0012] In accordance with the first aspect of present invention, the system further performs operations of receiving, from a monitoring partner monitoring the logistics partners, a confirmation of delivery of the order.
[0013] According to a second aspect of present invention, a computer implemented method for online ordering of goods and services is disclosed. The method comprises steps of providing, by application software installed and/or accessed from a communication device, a list of goods and services offered for sale listed into categories. Receiving, a selection of the goods and services listed for purchase from the user accessing through his login, wherein the listed goods and services are associated with equivalent value of points that are offered to the user against the purchase.
[0014] The method comprises step of presenting, a list of destinations participating in the redemption of accumulated points. A step of presenting, a finalized cart for one or more financial transactions to complete the online ordering.
[0015] A step of receiving and presenting, from the payment system, an estimated time of completion and delivery of the order, wherein the payment system is configured to process a financial transaction between the merchant and the user for the order. [0016] In accordance with the second aspect of the present invention, the method also comprises steps of providing, by the payment system and to the merchant device, data describing a geographic map that indicates respective geographic locations of one or more customers purchased goods or services.
[0017] According to a third aspect of the present invention, a method for providing equivalent points of value of goods and services ordered online is disclosed. The method comprises steps of displaying, a list of goods and services offered for sale listed into categories in application software installed and/or accessed from a communication device of a user to purchase.
[0018] The method comprises steps of offering, equivalent points and displaying a list of products and locations to redeem against an equivalent value of a purchase online. The method also comprises a step of receiving, a selection of the goods and services listed for the purchase online from the user accessing through user login. It also has a step of presenting, a finalized cart for one or more financial transactions to complete the online ordering and issuing an electronic bill for the order with the accumulated credit that can be used at participating stores.
