Abstract
A method for providing information to a person belonging to targeted community of people, comprising the steps of choosing a community of people, providing at least one reference service shared by the community, providing a search apparatus comprising an artificial intelligence engine and a searcheable database by the artificial intelligence engine, providing an online communication platform to the community of people, providing each person of said community with an electronic device equipped with input means, output means, tracking means for tracking current location, and a request system for communicating with both said search apparatus and said online communication platform, training the artificial intelligence engine to search the database based on a tracked current location, said at least one reference service being made available to said artificial intelligence engine through said request system, and when a person of said community enables the request system to process the tracked current location, the request system automatically drives said artificial intelligence engine to search the database to retrieve the location and additional data of at least one real service matching the reference service within a predetermined distance from the current tracked location, then the retrieved information is automatically sent to and displayed on the electronic device.
Description
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING AN INFORMATION TO A PERSON BELONGING TO A TARGETED COMMUNITY OF PEOPLE
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to a method and a system for providing an information to a person belonging to a targeted community of people.
TECHNICAL BACKGROUND
For patients suffering a chronical disease, like diabetes, daily confidence to a comfort zone to maintain a suitable quality of life is crucial.
In case of diabetic patients, one key insight is that due to the need to store insulin cartridges in the cold, they feel "handcuffed" to their fridge. Diabetic patients are reluctant to go out, even more to go on vacation, with a possible de-socialization and depression ahead of the psychological disorders already associated with the disease. When questioned about their reluctance to step away from their home, one argument relates to the perception to have "everything at hand", a comfort zone which includes a plenty of services like pharmacy, vegetable shop, fitness center, emergency, doctor, museum, etc.
It is to be noted that patients do not necessarily use on a regular basis (or sometimes ever) these services, but these service constitute the list of things people need to perceive that in case this or that happens, they can react according to an established "mental procedure" they have thought of before they need it.
The purpose of the invention is to provide a method and a system to assist people of a community to feel comfortable when moving or travelling.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The task of the invention has been solved by provision of a method for providing information to a person belonging to targeted community of people, comprising the steps of:
a.) choosing a community of people
a.) providing at least one reference service shared by the community;
c. ) providing a search apparatus comprising an artificial intelligence engine and a searcheable database by the artificial intelligence engine, said database storing location and additional data of a plurality of real services; d. ) providing an online communication platform to the community of people;
e. ) providing each person of said community with an electronic device equipped with input means, output means, tracking means for tracking current location, and a request system for communicating with both said search apparatus and said online communication platform;
f. ) training the artificial intelligence engine to search the database based on a tracked current location;
wherein
said at least one reference service is made available to said artificial intelligence engine through said request system, and
when a person of said community enables the request system to process the tracked current location, the request system automatically drives said artificial intelligence engine to search the database to retrieve the location and additional data of at least
one real service matching the reference service within a predetermined distance from the current tracked location, then the retrieved information is automatically sent to and displayed on the electronic device.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention a rate is given by the person of the community to the extent of match between the real service retrieved and the corresponding reference service.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention the rate is used to train the artificial intelligence engine.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention when a person of said community enables the request system to process the tracked location, the request system drives in real time said artificial intelligence engine to search the database.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention said rate is crowdsourced from other people of the community on the online communication platform.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention said search apparatus is part of a computer system or a cloud system.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention said electronic device is a computer or a PDA, or a mobile telephone.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention said mobile telephone is a smartphone. In a preferred embodiment of the invention said request system is comprised in a web application on said smartphone.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention said online communication platform is selected from the group consisting of message boards, chat rooms and life online audio or video communication.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention said community of people is a community of diabetic patients.
The present invention also discloses a A system for providing information to a person belonging to targeted community of people, comprising:
a. ) at least one reference service shared by the community;
b. ) a search apparatus comprising an artificial intelligence engine and a searcheable database by the artificial intelligence engine
c. ) an online communication platform to the community of people
d. ) to each person of said community, an electronic device equipped with input means, output means, tracking means for tracking current location, and a request system for communicating with both said search apparatus and said online communication platform
the artificial intelligence engine being trained to search the database based on tracked current location;
said at least one reference service being made available to said artificial intelligence engine through said request system; and
when a person of said community enables the request system to process the tracked current location, the request system automatically driving said artificial intelligence engine to search the database to retrieve the location and additional data of at least one real service matching reference service within a predetermined distance from the tracked location, the retrieved information being automatically sent to and displayed on the electronic device.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Preferred embodiments of the invention are hereinbelow described with reference to enclosed drawing where:
Figs. 1 to 6 show in a smartphone screen views of a web application launched according to an embodiment of the invention.
The method for providing information to a person belonging to targeted community of people, comprises the steps of choosing a community of people, providing a list of reference services shared by the community, providing a search apparatus comprising an artificial intelligence engine and a searcheable database by the artificial intelligence engine, providing an online communication platform to the community of people, providing each person of said community with an electronic device equipped with input means, output means, tracking means for tracking current location, and a request system for communicating with both said search apparatus and said online communication platform, and training the artificial intelligence engine to search the database based on tracked current location.
Advantageously the list of reference services is made available to said artificial intelligence engine through said request system and, when a person of the community enables the request system to process the tracked current location, the request system automatically drives the artificial intelligence engine to search the database to retrieve the location and additional data of real services matching reference services within a predetermined distance from the tracked current location.
Once retrieved, the information is automatically transmitted to the electronic device, and the electronic device automatically outputs the retrieved information for consultation.
In particular when a person of the community enables the request system to process the tracked current location, the request system drives in real time the artificial intelligence engine to search the database.
Advantageously a rate is given by the person of the community to the extent of match between the real service retrieved and the corresponding reference service. The person involved enters the rate through the request system that makes it available on the online communication platform to the community of people.
Advantageously the rate is also used to train the artificial intelligence engine.
The search apparatus may be part of a computer system or a cloud system.
The online communication platform may be selected from the group consisting of message boards and/or chat rooms and/or life online audio or video communication.
The electronic device may be a computer or a PDA, or preferably a mobile telephone and in more detail a smartphone.
In the best embodiment the request system is comprised in a web application installed on said smartphone.
Therefore according to the invention people of the community build their comfort zone by pointing to a number of services they are willing to have. The search apparatus analyses the typology of the items in the list of reference services. When people travel (short or long distance), their comfort zone is automatically
constituted by automatically linking each reference service with a corresponding real service as similar as possible.
Rating the relevancy of the similarity is worth to help other members of the community in their choices.
This system preferably applies to the population of diabetics, in relation to their potential isolation stemming from their dependence on the procurement e.g. of insulin.
However the field of the invention extends to community of people like patients and caregivers having to deal with any type of physical or psychological dependency, when considering to travel or to move.
Actually, the field of invention encompasses not only diabetics and people having a given disease, but also any community of people uncomfortable with moving or travelling, and willing to anticipate the degree of logistic/practical comfort they will meet when moving or travelling, and having the perception of having an assistant to keep things under control.
For a better understanding of the above and other features we make now reference to the appended drawings.
Figure 1 shows the web application installed on a smartphone of a patient through which the patient is in communication with the online communication platform. The smartphone displays on the screen a request of authorization to use the current location to launch the application.
Once authorization is given by pushing a virtual button on the screen, the application automatically runs to display on the screen any information retrieved by the search apparatus.
In more detail at the beginning the application displays on the screen a map with the tracked current location and location of some points of interest found nearby the current location.
As shown in figure 2, by selecting on the screen a point of interest the person involved may access the relevant address, telephone number and possibly other details together with the total rating given to it by the community of people.
As shown in figure 3, the web application may also display on the screen a list of reference services, for instance healthcare centers, healthy food restaurants, fitness centers and allow the person involved to select a reference service.
As shown in figure 4, according to the reference service selected, the web application through the search apparatus retrieves corresponding real services in the area of the tracked location and displays them on the screen together with their location, address and contact details. Through the web application the person involved may therefore be linked to website of his favourite service to check in, leave a review for other members of the community and see services highly rated by the community.
As shown in figure 5 the web application may store, display and automatically process personal data to create a passport of the person and display the passport on the screen. The passport may advantageously include diagnosis and prescription so that, as shown in figure 6, the web application may provide an automatic
translation of the passport into the language spoken in the tracked location. So, if the person need to share medical information or get medical assistance, there is no language barrier, especially as far as difference in medication name is concerned.
Claims
1. A method for providing information to a person belonging to targeted community of people, comprising the steps of:
a. ) choosing a community of people
b. ) providing at least one reference service shared by the community;
c. ) providing a search apparatus comprising an artificial intelligence engine and a searcheable database by the artificial intelligence engine, said database storing location and additional data of a plurality of real services;
d. ) providing an online communication platform to the community of people;
e. ) providing each person of said community with an electronic device equipped with input means, output means, tracking means for tracking current location, and a request system for communicating with both said search apparatus and said online communication platform;
f. ) training the artificial intelligence engine to search the database based on a tracked current location;
wherein
said at least one reference service is made available to said artificial intelligence engine through said request system, and
when a person of said community enables the request system to process the tracked current location, the request system automatically drives said artificial intelligence engine to search the database to retrieve the location
and additional data of at least one real service matching the reference service within a predetermined distance from the current tracked location, then the retrieved information is automatically sent to and displayed on the electronic device.
2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein a rate is given by the person of the community to the extent of match between the real service retrieved and the corresponding reference service.
3. The method of claim 2 wherein the rate is used to train the artificial intelligence engine.
4. The method of claim 1 wherein when a person of said community enables the request system to process the tracked current location, the request system drives in real time said artificial intelligence engine to search the database.
5. The method of claim 2 wherein said rate is crowdsourced from other people of the community on the online communication platform.
6. The method of claim 1 wherein said search apparatus is part of a computer system or a cloud system.
7. The method of claim 1 wherein said electronic device is a computer or a PDA, or a mobile telephone.
8. The method of claim 7, wherein said mobile telephone is a smartphone.
9. The system of claim 8 wherein said request system is comprised in a web application on said smartphone.
10. The method of claim 1 wherein said online communication platform is selected from the group consisting of message boards, chat rooms and life online audio or video communication.
11. The method of claim 1 wherei said community of people is a community of diabetic patients.
12. A system for providing information to a person belonging to targeted community of people, comprising:
b.) at least one reference service shared by the community;
b. ) a search apparatus comprising an artificial intelligence engine and a searcheable database by the artificial intelligence engine
c. ) an online communication platform to the community of people
d. ) to each person of said community, an electronic device equipped with input means, output means, tracking means for tracking current location, and a request system for communicating with both said search apparatus and said online communication platform
the artificial intelligence engine being trained to search the database based on tracked current location;
said at least one reference service being made available to said artificial intelligence engine through said request system; and
when a person of said community enables the request system to process the tracked current location, the request system automatically driving said artificial intelligence engine to search the database to retrieve the location and additional data of at least one real service matching reference service
within a predetermined distance from the tracked location, the retrieved information being automatically sent to and displayed on the electronic device.
