Abstract

The present invention relates to the automotive technical field, more specifically to an auxiliary emergency braking system composed of one or more inflatable bags which are actuated in the event of emergency or sudden braking. Besides the bag(s), the system comprises a pressurised air and/or gas tank, an envelope and a protection cover. During emergency braking, the bag or bags are ejected and inflated so as to contact the ground and generate friction. The friction increase generated by the auxiliary emergency braking system, added to the friction between the tires and the ground, significantly reduces the braking distance and prevents a great number of accidents.
