Abstract

Embodiments relate generally to systems and methods for dispensing and tracking products, such as condiments. The product dispenser includes an electronic actuator. A pouch filled with a product to be dispensed is disposed within the interior of the dispenser. The electronic actuator may comprise sensor and control circuitry including at least one sensor capable of reading an identifier tag associated with the pouch. The sensor and control circuitry may be configured to sense actuations of a user-operated actuator element and, based in part on the identifier tag, the sensor and control circuitry activates the motor to increase pressure on the pouch and to dispense the product from the dispenser. Data associated with a volume of product dispensed from the pouches can be used to track product use for inventory control.
