  • the present invention describes mobile and automatized equipment for surface cleaning, allowing cleaning both floors and stairways in a downward direction. It is adapted for cleaning surfaces of any material or coating, for example: metal, granite, tiles, clays, marble, concrete, etc., both for residential and commercial premises.
  • the cleaning equipment of the invention provides an efficient solution for this type of cleaning process, since it does not depend on an operator and it also covers all the area of the steps of a stairway. It constitutes a first main objective of the present invention, mobile and automatized cleaning equipment which allows cleaning stairways comprising two cleaning bodies articulated to each other.

  • Another object of the present invention is to perform an autonomous work by implementing, in any of the cleaning bodies, a computerized control unit which avoids requiring an operator during the whole cleaning cycle.
  • both cleaning bodies are articulated to each other, so as to allow articulated movement of both cleaning bodies with respect to each other and overcoming heights as the first cleaning body goes down each step, while performing the surface cleaning process; thereby, the cleaning bodies are preferably symmetrical and are connected by means of an articulated connection comprising, for example, a set of hinges and a lever system.
  • Another object of the present invention is to allow previous programming for the cleaning equipment use, by means of the control unit.
  • Another object of the present invention is to control automatic movement through distance and contact sensors.
  • both plates are aligned in order to carry out the cleaning processes horizontally, after programming the system in advance, the attachments being replaceable depending on the floor material.
  • This device would make stairways cleaning easier in big skyscrapers and in smaller buildings, being also ideal for it to be used in business premises, shopping centres, parks and pavements.

  • the first cleaning body (11) comprises, also at the bottom side thereof, see figure 6, rotating brushes (6), which preferably feature multidirectional rotation, for cleaning difficult surfaces.
  • the rotating brushes (6) are retractable, such that when they are not in use they can be displaced to be accommodated in a hidden position (3), such that cleaning would only be performed with vaporized water.
  • the cleaning bodies (11 , 12) comprise side contact and distance sensors (1) on lateral sides, so as to know when they are in the limit of the surface intended to be cleaned, and to control movement of the cleaning bodies (11 , 12).
  • the second cleaning body (12) comprises at the bottom side thereof a mop (8) for removing the dirt extracted with the brushes (6) and water steam (5).
  • Both cleaning bodies (11 , 12) include stoppers (2) so as to avoid interference or incorrect location between the cleaning bodies (11 , 12) with respect to each other.
  • One of the cleaning bodies (11 , 12), with the second cleaning body (12) being represented in the figures, carries a rechargeable battery (9) for power supply of the cleaning equipment.
  • the cleaning equipment of the invention for control over the operation thereof, further comprises a computerized control unit (10), located in any of the cleaning bodies (11 , 12).
  • the two cleaning bodies (11 , 12) are articulated by means of an articulated connection (7), allowing the equipment of the invention to be adapted to perform the stairway cleaning in a downward direction, which is explained below with the help of figures 2, 3 and 4 illustrating a sequence for cleaning a step.
  • figure 2 shows the cleaning equipment in a position wherein the first cleaning body (11) is cleaning vertically and the second cleaning body (12) is cleaning horizontally.
  • Figure 3 illustrates a position wherein the first cleaning body (11) is cleaning horizontally and the second cleaning body (12) is standing by until it may continue with the cleaning operation in vertical direction.

  • the cleaning equipment also comprises motors (14) for providing multidirectional movement to the wheels (4).
  • a rechargeable battery (9), mentioned above, supplies power both to the motors (14) and to other devices requiring power supply. It is also contemplated that distance and contact sensors may be provided so as to control movement of the cleaning bodies (11 , 12).

Abstract

L'invention concerne un équipement mobile et automatisé de nettoyage des surfaces comprenant : un premier corps de nettoyage comprenant, à son tour, un dispositif de vapeur destiné à la mise en œuvre de la désinfection et du nettoyage à la vapeur des surfaces, et des brosses rotatives multidirectionnelles ; un second corps de nettoyage comprenant, à son tour, une serpillère destinée à éliminer les saletés extraites de la surface au moyen de la vapeur et/ou des brosses ; un joint articulé destiné à relier les corps de nettoyage, permettant de surmonter les hauteurs ; des roues multidirectionnelles montées sur le corps de nettoyage, de façon à faciliter son déplacement ; des moteurs destinés à actionner les roues ; une unité de commande informatisée, incorporée dans l'un des corps de nettoyage ; et une batterie rechargeable, incorporée dans l'un des corps de nettoyage. L'équipement permet le nettoyage automatisé des sols, et des escaliers dans une direction descendante.
