Abstract
Description
Anordnung zur lötfreien Kontaktierung von Leiterplatten Arrangement for the solderless contacting of printed circuit boards
The invention relates to an arrangement for solder-free contacting of printed circuit boards by means of press-fit contacts according to the preamble of claim 1. Furthermore, the invention relates to a printed circuit ¬ board and a press-fit for re ¬ alization of the inventive arrangement.
The press-fit technology is a process for the solderless contacting of printed circuit boards. The press-fit contact has a deformable or solid press-in section. The press-in portion has opposite to the provided with a metallization injection well in the circuit board at an excess, so that the press-in can be pressed into the injection well with a mechanical force and thereby an electrical ¬ shear contact is made by ei ¬ ne elastic deformation of the grouted. A contact element for pressing into a press-in bore of a printed circuit board is known, for example, from DE 10 2004 015 431 A1.
Such press-fit contacts are pressed into the injection bore perpendicular to the printed circuit board so that a gas-tight connection between the printed circuit board and the press-fit contact occurs. Such a press-fit connection is then advantageous ¬ way, when the components to be connected are arranged perpendicular to each other. In the case of vertical alignment of the components to be contacted, the press-in contact must be U-shaped to produce the press-in connection. However, this requires a larger space.
It is therefore an object of the invention to provide an arrangement of the aforementioned type which has a structurally simple design. Chen structure without the above disadvantage. It is another object of the invention to provide a printed circuit board and a press-contact ¬ contact for the realization of the inventive arrangement.
The first object is achieved by an arrangement having the features of patent claim 1.
Such an arrangement of a printed circuit board having at least one contact point, which is connected to at least one conductor track of the printed circuit board, and having a contact element for solderless contacting of the contact point is characterized according to the invention in that the contact element is a press-fit contact for producing a press-fit connection with the printed circuit board. and the contact position of the edge of the circuit board outbound contact slot is formed with a connected to the conductor metallization, wherein the press-fit contact is press-fitted in a horizontal position with respect to the printed circuit board perpendicular thereto in the contact slot and horizontal to the PCB via de ¬ ren border addition extends.
In this arrangement according to the invention, the press-in contact is pressed into a peripheral contact slot of the printed circuit board and oriented horizontally to the circuit board. For the preparation of the press-in of the press-fit contact with the circuit board of the press-fit contact is press-fitted from a position in which its longitudinal axis horizontally to the printed circuit board be ¬ takes place with a vertically oriented to the PCB input insertion direction into the contact slot, so that the press-fit horizontally with its longitudinal axis extends to Lei ¬ terplatte over the edge thereof. Advantageously, according to one embodiment of the invention, the press-in contact with a deformable press- insertion ¬ section and a connection portion is formed, wherein the press-in has a relation to the width of the contact slot greater thickness. The thickness of the Einpressab ¬ section refers to the outer distance of the ge ¬ opposite bulges in the region of their maximum elevation over the respective surface. According to a further development of the invention, the contact slot further includes two mutually parallel slot walls with the metallization, the metallization forms an electrical contact with the press-in portion of the one ¬ press contact. Such a contact slot is more easily manufactured manner and preferably runs perpendicular to the edge of the circuit board. Of course, it is also possible to produce such a contact slot with an oblique course to the edge of the circuit board. According to training, the press-in contact is designed as a flat profile with a rectangular cross-section and therefore it is also produced inexpensively.
According to one embodiment of the invention, it is particularly advantageous if the press-in section of the press-fit contact is formed with at least two bulges arranged on opposite surfaces of the press-in contact and projecting out of the surfaces, wherein the bulges form a resilient contact with the metallization of the contact slot. Preferably, the bulges are formed as extending transversely to the longitudinal axis of the press-fit webs. Such webs can be produced in a simple manner by stamping. A simple embodiment of the invention provides that the press-in contact is formed on a surface with two bulges and on the opposite surface with a bulge. Preferably, two bulges can also be generated on both opposite surfaces, whereby a high stability of the pressed-in press-fit contact is achieved.
The webs of the press-in portion of the press-in contact are formed with a transversely to the longitudinal direction of the press-in contact arcuate contour. With this rounded shape of the webs of the grouted Einpresskon ¬ clock can be montage safely inserted into the contact slot or pressed in. According to the training, other contours can also be realized, such as, for example, truncated conical or spherical-layer-shaped contours. These contours have the advantage that the formation of contact with the metallization ¬ tion of the contact slot a flat surface of the web is in front ¬ hands.
A further advantageous development of the invention provides that the connection section is formed with a contact region for contacting the press-fit contact, which is connected to the press-in section via a holding region embedded in a housing section. Such a housing section may represent a part of a housing or a socket element, wherein the contact area is used for contacting the press-in contact. For this purpose, the press-fit can be pressed into such a housing or molded around for the production of the housing.
The second object is achieved by a printed circuit board having the features of claim 11. Such a printed circuit board with at least one contact point connected to at least one printed conductor is distinguished by the contact point being designed as a contact slot extending from the edge of the printed circuit board with a metallization connected to the printed conductor so as to produce a press connection with a press-fit contact Press-in contact with respect to its longitudinal axis horizontally to the circuit board in the contact slot can be pressed.
Such a circuit board is easy to manufacture, since the contact slot extends from the edge of the circuit board. It makes sense to realize such a contact slot with a course perpendicular to the edge of the circuit board. In addition, it is also possible to orient the contact slot obliquely to the edge of the circuit board.
The contact slot preferably has two slot walls running parallel to one another with the metallization. Since ¬ with the pressed-press-in function is reliably held in the contact slot.
The third object is achieved by a press-fit with the features of claim 13.
Such a press-fit contact for producing a press-fit connection with a contact point of a printed circuit board having a metallized recess, in which the press-fit contact is formed with a press-fit section which can be pressed into the recess and with a connection section, is characterized according to the invention in that the press-fit contact is pressed in into the Taken contact slot formed recess of Einpressabschnitt arranged on opposite surfaces of the press-fit and each protruding from the surfaces protrusions is formed such that the press-in contact in a horizontal position with respect to the Lei ¬ terplatte perpendicular to the same in the contact slot to form a resilient contact with the Metallization of the contact slot is einpressbar. For the preparation of the press-in of the press-fit contact with the circuit board of the press-fit contact is press-fitted from a position in which its longitudinal axis horizontally to the printed circuit board be ¬ takes place with a vertically oriented to the circuit board A ¬ insertion direction into the contact slot, so that the press-fit horizontally with its longitudinal axis extends to Lei ¬ terplatte over the edge thereof. Preferably, the bulges are formed as extending transversely to the longitudinal axis of the press-in contact webs, which are produced in a simple manner by punching.
According to a most advanced embodiment of the invention, the press-in contact is formed as a flat profile with a rectangular cross-section ¬ . Preferably, the press-in contact is formed on a surface with two bulges and on the opposite surface with a bulge, preferably also with two bulges. This achieves a stable position of the press-fit contact pressed into the contact slot. In order to facilitate the insertion of the press-in contact in the contact slot, the webs of the press-in section are formed with a transversely to the longitudinal axis of the press-in contact arcuate contour in the insertion direction. Further- According to the education, other contours can also be realized, such as, for example, truncated conical or spherical-layer-shaped contours. These contours have the advantage that, to form the contact with the metallization of the contact slot, a flat surface of the web is present.

FIG. 4 shows a perspective view of a press-fit contact of the arrangement according to FIGS. 1 and 2.
Figures 1 and 2 show an oriented in an x-y plane te printed circuit board 2 with a peripheral contact slot 3.1, in which a press-in contact 6 is pressed.
Die beiden Schlitzwände 3.11 sind am Ende des This contact slot 3.1 forms a contact point 3 of a conductor track 4 of the printed circuit board 2, wherein the conductor track 4 merges into a metallization 4.1 of the inner wall of the contact slot 3.1. The contact slot 3.1 is formed by two parallel slot walls 3.11, so that the Kon- Clock slot 3.1 is perpendicular to the edge 2.1 of the circuit board 2 runs. The two slot walls 3.11 are at the end of the
Slot connected with a circular contour. As the metallization 4.1 for the contact slot 3.1 and for the conductor track 4 copper is used as a rule.
As can be seen from Figures 1, 2 and 3, the press-in contact 6 consists of a flat profile with rectangular cross-section and has various sections. Printed circuit board side of the press-in contact 6 starts with an on ¬ press section 7, to which a connection section 8 closes ¬ .
The press-in section 7 is inserted into the contact slot 3.1 from a position in which the longitudinal axis L of the press-in contact 6 extends horizontally to the printed circuit board 2, introduced in the insertion direction R perpendicular to the printed circuit board 2. For this purpose, transverse to ge ¬ genüberliegenden surfaces of the flat profile or of the press-fit contact 6 to the longitudinal axis L webs 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3 formed as protrusions, which in the pressed-into the contact slot 3.1 state of the press-fit contact 6 make electrical contact with the metallization 4.1 of the slot walls 11.3 form. In the pressed state of the A contact 6 ¬ press the press-contact by the flat profile of the input plane 6 formed perpendicular to the circuit board 2, ie, in the z direction. This z-direction also represents the insertion direction R, ie, that the press-in contact 6 is inserted horizontally in the insertion direction R in the contact slot 3.1 in a perpendicular to the circuit board 2 position of the flat profile.
The connection section 8 of the press-fit contact 6 begins at its free end with a contact region 9, which is used for Kon- timing of the press-in contact 6 is used. At this contact ¬ area 9, a holding portion 10 connects, which merges via a connecting portion 11 in the press-in section 7. By means of the holding region 10, the press-in contact 6 is, for example, fixed in a housing part 5, as is indicated schematically in FIG. The fixation of the press-in contact 6 in this housing part 5 is carried out either by Einpres ¬ sen of the press-in contact 6 in this housing part 5 or by encapsulation of the holding portion 10 for the preparation of the housing part 5. This housing part 5 is part of a housing for receiving the circuit board 2 or part of a Socket which serves to make contact with the contact region 9 of the press-in contact 6.
The webs 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3 are gebil ¬ det from a centrally arranged with respect to the z-direction on the press-in 7 edge windows 7.0 by means of a punching process, so that the resulting webs spaced and linearly the window 7.0 perpendicular to the circuit board. 2 respectively.
In this case, the web is 7.1 between the two webs 7.2 and 7.3, wherein the web 7.3 edge at the end of the press-in section 7 runs. The web can also be 7.3 to form a small heel in direction of the terminal portion 8 of the press-fit contact 6 may be offset to avoid the punching ¬ he testified to burr at the end of grouted. 7 Such a burr could damage the metallization 4.1 inadvertently when pressing in the press-fit contact 6. Subsequently, these webs 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3 arcuately bent out of the plane of the flat profile of the press-in contact 6, that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis L, wherein a web 7.1 from the surface 6.1 and on the opposite upper surface 6.2 the two webs are bent out 7.2 and 7.3, while these webs 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3 are resilient. In the area of the maximum curvature of the webs 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3 from the surfaces 6.1 and 6.2 results in a thickness D of the press-in section 7 of the press-in contact 6, the ¬ over the width B of the contact slot 3.1 has an oversize such that for a press-fit required properties are realized. With a thus realized Einpressabschnitt 7 is the
Pressed contact 6 in a horizontal position with respect to the Lei ¬ terplatte 2 in the insertion direction R in the contact slot 3.1 pressed so that according to the sectional view of Figure 3, the webs 7.1, 7 2 and 7.3 in the region of their maximum in the z-direction curvature metallization Deform 4.1 and it comes to a gas-tight electrical connection between the press-in contact 6 and the metallization 4.1 and thus also with the conductor track 4. In order to facilitate insertion of the press-fit contact 6 into the contact slot 3.1, the webs 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3 are designed in the insertion direction R with an arcuate contour 7.11, 7.21 and 7.31. Thus, the press-in contact 6 in the insertion direction R are initially introduced so far into the contact slot 3.1 until the outer distance of the contours 7.11, 721 7.31 corresponds to the width B of the contact slot 3.1. Subsequently, the press-fitting process begins in which the metallization 4.1 is deformed. The press-fitting is completed when the Einpressab ¬ section 7 has reached a symmetrical position to the thickness of the circuit board 2. In this position according to FIGS 1 and 2 exceeds the press-7 projects slightly the two Oberflä ¬ surfaces of the circuit board. 2 It can be seen from the cross-sectional view according to FIG. 3 that the surfaces of the webs 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3 adjacent to the metallization 4.1 are contoured in the direction of the longitudinal axis L in an arcuate manner.
The contours 7.11, 7.21 and 7.31 of the webs 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3 may also have a different course than the described arcuate course perpendicular to the longitudinal axis L. Thus, all possible combinations of advice the transitions, bevels and the flat profile parallel sections with flat surfaces can be realized. In particular, contours, such as, for example, frustoconical or spherical layer-shaped contours are suitable. These contours have the advantage that the formation of the contact with the metallization 4.1 of the contact slot 6, a flat surface of the web 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3 is present.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 4, only one web 7.1 is provided on a surface 6.1 of the press-fit contact 6. It is advantageous for reasons of stability to realize two webs on this side of the press-in contact 6 as well.
Bezugs zeichen As already stated above, the press-in contact 6 is fixed in a housing part 5 of a housing by pressing or by encapsulation. Subsequently, the printed circuit board is pressed with ¬ means of the contact slot 3.1 on the press-in portion 7 of the press-fit contact 6. Reference sign
