Description

System and method for automatic queue generation of audio and/or other multimedia recordings and its subsequent reproduction in a venue
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a system and method for automatic queue generation of audio and/or other multimedia recordings and its subsequent reproduction in a designated venue based on automatic detection and identification of mobile device(s) and the consequent evaluation of weighting criteria (algorithm) ensuring system's functionality.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Currently, there are known methods for providing music and multimedia content in public places via terrestrial radios or TV stations, online radio stations or via other means, performing the content distribution to an audience through audio and/or video reproduction devices. One of the most common methods is to have active terrestrial radio in a venue, where the concrete station is chosen by venue's staff, whereas radio production is determined manually by a dramaturge of the respective radio station. In other cases, music production is distributed using personal computers or tablets doing manual selection of MP3 files. Some venues have been and are still equipped with media reproduction devices using vinyl records or CDs, alternatively playback devices are connected to online database, whereas customers can choose specific audio and/or video recording to be reproduced in a designated area, after making the payment for its selection. The disadvantage of all these methods and devices is that customer(s) willing to influence the queue of audio and/or video recordings to be played in respective venue, must perform manual activity in form of rating or ordering the preferred recording, or to use local playback device and manually select favorite record, alternatively to log into certain system using mobile device and perform activity towards selecting preferred audio and/or video production. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a method for queue generation of audio and/or other multimedia recordings and its subsequent reproduction in a designated venue, wherein host system continuously detects and identifies various mobile devices (Smartphones, tablets, laptops, PDAs, navigation devices, media players, watches, etc. ) of venue's guests (users) without a need of user(s) to manually log into any system or application. After identification of user's device and subsequent matching user with respective device by the host system, algorithm performs the process of evaluating individual criteria of every user identified and his/her preferences, comparing user's preferences with preferences of other users and other criteria, resulting in the adjustment of the queue of audio and/or video recordings reproduced at a venue where user(s) were identified. Queue of audio and/or video recordings is generated automatically without a need to log into any system or to perform any activity by a user, taking into account characteristics of each user (guests in the venue), music and multimedia preferences of individual users in and out of reach of audio or video reproduction device of respective venue, as well as specific parameters determined by host system administrator.
The administrator of the host system is allowed to log into the remote server system and manually adjust criteria for reproducing audio and/or video recordings in designated venue. The queue can also be modified via rating (positive/negative) of each user logged into the remote server system. The queue of audio and/or video recordings designated for public reproduction changes dynamically over time (up/down), taking into account all above mentioned criteria. The remote server system allows also user(s) to log into it and see current queue of audio and/or video recordings; user(s) can rate individual tracks in the queue (positive/negative), resulting in reordering of audio and/or video recordings in the queue. A user can submit specific audio and/or video recording into the queue of audio and/or video recordings. The system allows user(s) to rate audio and/or video recordings submitted to the queue by other users (i.e. to rate specific audio and/or video recording as well as to rate other user(s), who submitted audio and/or video recording into the queue. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, administrator of the host system can send audio and/or video and other messages to mobile devices of venue's guests (e.g. daily menu, discounted prices, planned cultural events, etc.).
The remote server system is also capable, in cooperation with the host system, to evaluate consumer behavior of detected user(s), together with other criteria related to employment, leisure, hobby, etc. and to adjust the type and queue of audio and/or video projection, taking into the consideration the output from decision-making process performed by the algorithm of the remote server system. The system allows evaluating information about consumer behavior of a user (e.g., time spent in a particular space, rate choices, etc.), generating statistical reports based on multiple criteria (e.g. users age structure, gender, interests, etc.).
The queue of audio and/or video performance is generated automatically by the remote server system taking into the account consumer behavior of individual users in and out of reach of specific audio and video device for the reproduction and taking into the account priorities and constraints of the administrator of audio and/or video reproduction device.
