Abstract

The invention relates to a flip-flop that has been improved to overcome the disadvantages of its overly informal appearance in formal environments, and to avoid the need to carry two pairs of different footwear for each environment, said flip-flop having a sole, at least two securing straps secured by the lateral end portions thereof to respective opposing lateral portions of the sole, and converging front end portions coupled at at least one common anchoring point in the front portion of the sole, said flip-flop also comprising a securing ribbon interwoven with the front end portions of the lateral straps and folded, when the flip-flop is secured to the foot of the user, such that the flip-flop has a front linking section, respective lateral linking sections, a rear linking section, and a joining zone where the free ribbon ends are coupled to one another.

 PERFECTED FINGER JACKET

 TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION

 The present invention falls within the technical field of footwear and, particularly that of finger flip flops.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

 Finger flip flops are one of the oldest types of footwear in the world. In the last fifty years, finger flip flops made of plastic materials have become popular for their simplicity and low cost, not only in countries in third world or developing countries, but also in industrialized countries where, in addition to their use to walk through bathrooms, swimming pools and beaches, they have become a casual leisure shoes of great acceptance that is manufactured with a variety of designs and colors. Such plastic finger flip flops are also known as "flip-flops" or "Hawaiians."

 A toe flip flop comprises a sole, two lateral fastening strips fixed by their rear parts to respective side parts of the sole on the back half of the sole. The front parts converge, directly in V or through a single toe strip forming a Y-fork or crow's foot, at a common anchor point at the front of the sole so that they separate the big toe of the user of the other toes of his foot. In this way the front part of the sole is attached to the front part of the foot, while its rear part can oscillate vertically with respect to the heel of the foot, while offering a certain lateral support of the foot. However, these flip flops come off the foot with ease since they offer no support for the back of the foot.

 As women's footwear, flip flops suffer from the inconvenience of always being recognizable as such, so their appearance is too informal in more formal settings. To overcome this inconvenience to finger flip flops, ornaments have been designed that give the flip flop a more sophisticated and feminine look.

However, the result is that the appearance of "sophisticated flip flop" is achieved, but, after all, that of a conventional toe flip flop without back foot support. Therefore, users who move in a short time between an informal environment and a more formal environment are forced to carry with them two pairs of footwear, namely, flip flops and other more formal footwear. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

 The object of the present invention is to overcome the drawbacks of the state of the art detailed above, by means of a perfected finger flip flop with a sole, at least two fastening strips fixed by their rear end parts to respective opposite side parts of the sole and parts convergent front ends that are coupled to at least one common anchor point at the front of the sole such that they are capable of separating the user's big toe from the second toe of the foot, characterized in that

 comprises an interlocking fastening tape with the front end parts of the side strips,

 the tape comprises two free ends in respective parts of tape, and is folded, when the flip flop is attached to the user's foot, so that it comprises

 a front link segment linked to said front parts; a rear link segment sized to link above the heel of the foot to the bottom of the user's leg to attach the finger flip flop to the back of the user's foot;

 two lateral segments that join the linking segments, and sized to extend along opposite lateral parts of the foot;

 a bonding zone in which the tape parts are coupled to each other.

The term "user" used in this description and in the appended claims covers both male and female users. According to a first embodiment of the front link segment, it comprises

 a first section of the tape disposed below the converging front end portions of the side strips;

 two second sections of the belt that are folded upwards by respective outer edges of the converging front end portions of the side strips in the direction of the respective opposite side strip;

two third sections of the belt that cross over the first section between said second sections to at least partially retrace the front end portions of the side strips. According to a second embodiment of the front link segment, it comprises

 a first section of the tape disposed on top of the converging front end portions of the side strips to at least partially retrace the respective front end portions;

 two second sections of the belt that are folded down by respective inner edges of the converging front end portions of the side strips in the direction of the respective opposite side strip;

 two third sections of the belt that cross below the first section between said second sections.

According to a third embodiment of the front link segment, it comprises

 a first section of the tape disposed below the converging front end portions of the side strips;

 second sections of the belt that are folded upwards by respective outer edges of the converging front end portions of the side strips;

 two third sections of the belt that extend backward over the front end portions of the side strips to at least partially retrace the front end portions.

According to a fourth embodiment of the front link segment, it comprises

 a first section of the tape disposed on top of the converging front end portions of the side strips to at least partially retrace the respective front end portions;

 two second sections of the belt that are folded down by respective inner edges of the converging front end portions of the side strips in the direction of the respective opposite side strip;

 two third sections of the belt that extend backwards from the front end parts of the side strips.

According to these embodiments of the forward link segment, at least one of the second sections and at least one of the third sections of the belt can comprise at least one section of wrap that wraps at least a part of the front end portion of the corresponding side strip.

 Also, according to these embodiments of the linking segment, the first section of the belt may be arranged in front of the common anchor point of the side strips. This is especially advantageous in the third and fourth embodiment of the linking segment, in which the second sections of the belt do not cross.

The lateral segments can be two fourth sections of the belt that extend from the respective third sections backwards. At least one of the fourth sections may comprise at least one part wound around the corresponding side strip.

In an embodiment of the rear link segment, this comprises two fifth sections extending from the respective fourth sections and which are folded to respective opposite sides to cross over the heel of the user's foot, as well as two sixth sections comprising the area of union and free ends of the tape.

The sixth sections may be folded so that together they form at least one gyrus capable of at least one turn around a lower part of the user's leg. According to this form of folding, the area of union between the sixth sections may be located in correspondence with a front half, with a rear half or with a side of the lower leg. According to the invention, the tape can be made of a semi-rigid tensile resistant textile material, which offers some dimensional stability in a transverse direction to prevent the tape from wrinkling or bending with the movement of the foot and leg that occurs when walk. A preferred material is grosgrain ("grosgrain") which is a material widely used in the manufacture of tapes in the textile manufacturing sector, and have a width between 2 and 10 cm. such as between 4 and 8 cm, and a length between 80 and 130 cm, in some embodiments between 60 and 180 cm.

Preferably, the fourth sections of the tape are arranged to cover both sides of the user's ankle. Also preferably, the fourth sections of the tape are arranged to cover at least part of the instep of the user's foot. In turn and also preferably, at least one part one of the sixth sections of the tape can be arranged to extend in such a way that at least half of its width is arranged above both sides of the ankle of the user. In a particularly simple embodiment of the invention, the sixth sections of the belt are connected to each other by a knot and loop joint. Other possible connection systems for connecting the sixth sections are, for example, buckle connection, hook connection or quick-closing systems of sailboat type. As can be seen from the previous description, the perfected finger flip flop object of the invention not only has a more "formal" appearance than conventional finger flip flops but also offers a rear fastener that retains the flip flop at the foot, which allows the user, especially the female user, have a convertible footwear of a simple conventional flip flop in a flip flop that offers better support to the foot and a more formal appearance, similar to a sandal, for which the only thing you have to To do is carry one or more tapes, which take up very little space, with which you can obtain the structure described above.

MODES OF CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION

 In accordance with the embodiment shown in figures 1 to 15, the perfected finger flip flop according to the invention is made of a lady and is composed of a conventional conventional flip flop -1 (figures 1 to 3) and a tape - 4- (Figures 3 and 4] which has two free ends -4a, 4b- and is made of grosgran. As is evident and illustrated in Figures 1 and 2, the invention is applicable to the two flip flops that form a pair of -1- flip flops.

Each finger flip flop -1- comprises a conventional sole-made of slightly spongy plastic material and two fastening strips -2a, 2b- of harder and tensile-resistant elastic plastic. The fastening strips -2a, 2b- comprise respective rear end parts -2c, 2d- coupled to respective side parts in the rear half of the sole -la-, as well as front end parts -2e, 2f- convergent that are coupled, through a strip of finger -2h- common, to a common anchor point -2g- in the front of the sole -la- so that they are capable of separating the big toe -3a- from the foot -3- of the user of the second finger -3b- of her foot. As it can be seen in figures 5 and 6 showing a finger flip-flop perfected for the left foot -3-, the textile tape -4- is folded so that it forms an ornament element comprising various sections intended to hold the finger flip -1- to the foot -3- of the wearer and to the front end parts -2e, 2f- of the fastening strips -2a, 2b- and partially retram them.

 Thus, the textile tape -4- comprises a first section -4c- arranged below the front end portions -2e, 2f- convergent of the side strips -2a, 2b-, followed by two second sections -4d, 4e- which are folded around respective outer edges -2i, 2j- of the front end portions -2e, 2f- converging of the side strips -2a, 2b- in the direction of the respective side strip -2b, 2a- opposite.

 Following the respective second sections -4d, 4e-, the tape -4- comprises two third sections -4f, 4g- that intersect between the second sections -4d, 4e- above the first section -4c- and the parts retramote front ends -2e, 2f- of the lateral strips -2a, 2b- that extend backwards in two fourth sections -4h, 4i- that laterally surround the foot -3- with each other covering the wearer's ankle, and that they extend in turn in two fifth sections -4j, 4k- that are folded to respective opposite sides to cross over the heel of the foot -3-.

 Following these fifth sections -4j, 4k-, the tape -4- comprises two sixth sections -41, 4m- that embrace the lower part of the user's leg frontally and laterally, and that are connected to each other by means of a knot and a loop -4o- in a zone of union -4n- located in the front half, specifically in the shin, of the lower part -6a- of the leg -6-.

Figures 7 to 15 are illustrative of how the folding of the textile tape -4- shown in Figures 3 and 4 is performed to join it in several stages to the flip flop -1- for the right foot shown in Figures 1 and 2, to form an improved finger flip flop attached to the right foot -3- of the user analogous to the perfected finger flip flop for the left foot illustrated in Figures 5 and 6.

 As shown in Figure 7, the flip-flop -1- shown in Figures 1 and 2, shows the lateral parts -3c, 3d- and the instep -3e- of the foot -3- as well as the ankle -5- the lower part -6a- of the leg -6-, so that its appearance is very informal.

In the first stage to convert the conventional -1-toe flip flop shown in Figures 1 and 2 into the perfected flip flop shown in Figs. 5 and 6, a first end -4a- of the tape -4- is introduced by under one -2e- of the front end parts -2e, 2f- of the fastening strips -2a, 2b-, so that the tape -4- it is positioned between the foot -3- and that front end part -2a-, as illustrated in figure 7.

 In the second stage, the end -4a- of the tape -4- is also passed through the other -2f- of the end portions -2e, 2f-, and the part of the tape -4- is pulled into the that the first end -4a- is found until on the respective sides of the front end parts -2e, 2f- there are two tape parts -4A, 4B- of substantially equal lengths. In this way, an intermediate part of the belt -4- is positioned between the front end portions -2e, 2f- of the fastening strips -2a, 2b-, thus forming the first section -4c-which is delimited, such as Figure 8 illustrates, frontally by the finger strip -2h-, and laterally by the outer edges -2i, 2j- of the front end portions -2e, 2f-of the fastening strips -2a, 2b-.

 In the third stage, the second piece of tape -4B- is folded by the outer edge -2i- of the front end part -2e- of the fastening strip -2a- of the outer side in the direction of the fastening strip -2b - on the inner side, so that the second piece of the tape -4B- is arranged as shown in Figure 9 forming a second section -4d folded by said outer edge -2i-.

 In the stage, the first belt part -4A- is folded by the outer edge -2j- of the front end part -2e- of the inner side fastening strip -2b- in the direction of the fastening strip -2a- on the outer side, so that the first part of tape -4A- is arranged as shown in Figure 10 passing over the second piece of tape -4B- and forms another second section -4e- which is folded by said inner edge - 2i-. In this way, the tape parts -4A, 4B- form, as can be seen in Figure -10-, two third sections -4f, 4g- that intersect between the second sections -4d, 4e- covering the respective front end portions -2e, 2f- of the side strips -2a, 2b-.

 In the fifth stage, the tape parts -4A, 4B- are stretched simultaneously backwards and slightly upwards so that fourth sections -4h, 4i- are formed that pass through the lateral parts -3c, 3d- of the foot -3 - and on the respective sides of the ankle -5-, so that the fourth sections retrace, as can be seen in figure 11, the instep -3e- and laterally adjacent strips of the lateral parts -3c- 3d- of the foot -3 - as well as both sides of the ankle -5-.

In the sixth stage, the second piece of tape -4B- is stretched to the outside of the foot -3- so a fourth section -4k-piece of tape -4B- that is tight to the back of the part lower -6a- of the leg -6- at the ankle -5- above the heel -3f-. Then the first part of tape is stretched - towards the inner side of the foot -3- so that it crosses over the fourth section -4j- of the second part of tape -4B- and is also tightened to the back of the lower part -6a- of the leg -6- at the ankle height -5- above heel -3f-. Thus, as shown in Figure 12, two fifth sections -4j, 4k- of the belt are formed that extend from the respective fourth sections -4h, 4i- and folded to respective opposite sides to cross over the heel -3f - of the foot -3-.

 In the seventh stage, the tape parts -4A, 4B- are simultaneously stretched forward, so that two sixth sections -41, 4m- of the tape -4- are facing each other, as shown in Figure 13, a two sides of the lower part -6a- of the leg.

 Then, in the eighth stage, the tape parts -4A, 4B- are stretched to respective opposite sides of the foot -3- and are knotted by a simple knot, so that they intersect in a union area -4- located in the area of the shin in the lower part -6a- of the leg -6-. The knot is tensioned, so that the sixth sections of the belt -4- embrace laterally and frontally the lower part -6a- of the leg -6-, as shown in Figure 14.

 In the ninth and final stage and to complete the joint, a loop -4o- is made with the leftover parts of the tape parts -4A, 4B- so that the perfected finger flip flop is formed for the right foot shown in figure 15, which has characteristics totally analogous to those of the perfected flip flop shown in figures 5 and 6.

The embodiment of the finger flip flop illustrated in Figures 15 and 16 differs from the embodiment illustrated in Figures 1 to 15 in terms of the respective bonding segments of the tape -4-.

As can be seen in these figures, in the front link segment, the first section -4c- of the tape -4- is arranged below the front end portions -2e, 2f- convergent of the lateral strips _2a, 2b-, and the respective second sections -4d, 4e- of the tape -4- are folded upwards by two outer edges 2i, 2j- of the front end portions -2e, 2f- converging of the side strips -2a, 2b-, while that the third sections -4f, 4g- of the tape -4- extend backwards over the front end parts -2e, 2f- of the side strips -2a, 2b- to at least partially retrace the front end parts - 2e, 2f-. With this configuration of the front link segment, the second section -4d-, the third section -4f- and the fourth section -4h- of one of the belt parts are arranged on the outer side of the foot -3-, while the second section -4e-, the third section -4g- and the fourth section -4i- of the other belt part are arranged on the inner side of the foot -3-.

In turn, in the rear linkage segment, the sixth sections -41, 4m- of the tape -4- are folded so that together they form several convolutions that turn around a lower part of the leg -6- of the user

 Specifically, the sixth section -41- which is a continuation of the fourth section -4h- that extends along the outer side of the foot -3-, takes two full turns in direct contact with the lower leg -6-, while that sixth section -4m- which is a continuation of the fourth section -4i- that extends along the inner side of the foot -3-, makes an oblique turn around the two turns of the other sixth section -41-. The sixth sections -61, 6m- are joined together in a junction zone (not shown in figures 15 and 16) located at the rear of the lower leg -6- by a knot and loop joint -4o-.

Claims

 1. Finished finger flip flop with one sole (la), at least two fastening strips (2a, 2b) fixed by their rear end parts (2c, 2d) to respective opposite side parts of the sole (la) and front end parts (2e, 2f] convergent that are coupled to at least one common anchor point (2g) in the front of the sole (la) so that they are capable of separating the big toe (3a) of the foot (3) from the user of the second finger (3b) of his foot, characterized in that  comprises a fastening tape (4) interwoven with the front end portions (2e, 2f] of the side strips (2a, 2b),  the tape (4) comprises two free ends (4a, 4b) in respective parts of the tape (4A, 4B), and is folded, when the flip flop is attached to the user's foot (3), so that it comprises  a front link segment linked to said front parts (2e, 2f);  a rear link segment sized to link above the heel (3f) of the foot (3) to the bottom of the user's leg to secure the finger flip flop to the back of the user's foot (3);  two lateral segments that join the linking segments, and sized to extend along opposite lateral parts (3c, 3d) of the foot (3); a junction zone (4n) in which the tape parts (4A, 4B) are coupled to each other. 2. Finger flip flop according to claim 1, characterized in that the forward link segment comprises  a first section (4c) of the tape (4) disposed below the convergent front end portions (2e, 2f) of the side strips (2a, 2b);  two second sections (4d, 4e) of the belt (4) that are folded upwards by respective outer edges (2i, 2j) of the converging front end portions (2e, 2f) of the lateral strips (2a, 2b) in the direction to the respective side strip (2b, 2a) opposite;  two third sections (4f, 4g) of the belt (4) that cross over the first section (4c) between said second sections (4d, 4e) to at least partially retract the front end parts (2e, 2f) of the side strips (2a, 2b). 3. Finger flip flop according to claim 1, characterized in that the tape (4) understands  a first section (4c) of the tape (4) disposed on top of the converging front end portions (2e, 2f) of the side strips (2a, 2b) to at least partially retrace the respective front end portions (2e, 2f);  two second sections (4d, 4e) of the belt (4) that are folded down by respective inner edges of the front end portions (2e, 2f) converging of the side strips (2a, 2b) in the direction of the respective side strip (2b, 2a) opposite;  two third sections (4f, 4g) of the belt (4) that cross below the first section between said second sections (4d, 4e). 4. Finger flip flop according to claim 1, characterized in that the front link segment comprises  a first section (4c) of the tape (4) disposed below the convergent front end portions (2e, 2f) of the side strips (2a, 2b);  two second sections (4d, 4e) of the tape (4) that are folded upwards by respective outer edges (2i, 2j) of the converging front end portions (2e, 2f) of the side strips (2a, 2b);  two third sections (4f, 4g) of the belt (4) that extend backwards over the front end parts (2e, 2f) of the side strips (2a, 2b) to at least partially retrace the front end parts ( 2e, 2f). 5. Finger flip flop according to claim 1, characterized in that the tape (4) comprises  a first section (4c) of the tape (4) disposed on top of the converging front end portions (2e, 2f) of the side strips (2a, 2b) to at least partially retrace the respective front end portions (2e, 2f);  two second sections (4d, 4e) of the belt (4) that are folded down by respective inner edges of the front end portions (2e, 2f) converging of the side strips (2a, 2b) in the direction of the respective side strip (2b, 2a) opposite;  two third sections (4f, 4g) of the belt (4) extending backwards from the front end portions (2e, 2f) of the side strips (2a, 2b). 6. Finger flip flop according to any one of claims 2 to 5, characterized in that between at least one of the second sections (4d, 4e) and at least one of the third sections (4f, 4g) of the tape comprises at least a stretch of wrap that wraps around less a part of the front end part (2e, 2f) of the corresponding side strip (2a, 2b]. 7. Finger flip flop according to any one of claims 2 to 6, characterized in that the first section (4c] of the tape (4) is arranged in front of the common anchor point (2g) of the side strips (2e, 2f) . 8. Finger flip flop according to any one of claims 2 to 7, characterized in that the lateral segments comprise two fourth sections (4h, 4i] of the belt (4], which extend from the respective third sections (4f, 4g] backward. 9. Finger flip flop, according to claim 8, characterized in that at least one of the fourth sections (4h, 4i] comprises at least one part wound around the corresponding side strip (2a, 2b). 10. Finger flip flop according to any one of claims 2 to 9, characterized in that the rear link segment comprises  two fifth sections (4j, 4k] that extend from the respective fourth sections (4h, 4i] and which are folded to respective opposite sides to cross over the heel (3f) of the foot (3) of the user;  Sixth sections (41.4m) comprising the junction zone (4n] and the free ends (4a, 4b] of the belt (4). 11. Finger flip flop, according to claim 10, characterized in that the sixth sections (41, 4m) are folded so that together they form at least one gyrus capable of at least one turn around a lower part (6a) of the leg (6] of the user. 12. Finger flip flop, according to claim 10 or 11, characterized in that the junction zone (4n) between the sixth sections (41.4m) is located in correspondence with a front half of the lower part (6a) of the leg ( 6]. 13. Finger flip flop according to claim 10 or 11, characterized in that the junction zone (4n) between the sixth sections (41.4m) is located in correspondence with a rear half of the lower part (6a) of the leg ( 6]. 14. Finger flip flop according to claim 10 or 11, characterized in that the junction zone (4n) between the sixth sections (41.4m) is located in correspondence with a side of the lower part (6a) of the leg (6 ). 15. Finger flip flop, according to any one of claims 10 to 14, characterized in that the sixth sections (41, 4m) are connected to each other by means of a knot and loop junction (4th). 16. Finger flip flop according to any one of claims 10 to 14, characterized in that the sixth sections (41.4m) are connected to each other by means of a buckle joint. 17. Finger flip flop, according to any one of claims 10 to 14, characterized in that the sixth sections (41, 4m) are connected to each other by a hook connection. 18. Finger flip flop, according to any one of claims 10 to 14, characterized in that the sixth sections (41, 4m) are connected to each other by means of a fast sailboat closing system. 19. Finger flip flop, according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the tape (4) has a width between 2 and 10 cm. 20. Finger flip flop according to claim 19, characterized in that the tape (4) has a width between 4 and 8 cm. 21. Finger flip flop according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the fourth sections (4h, 4i) of the tape (4) are arranged to cover both sides of the ankle (5) of the user. 22. Finger flip flop, according to claim 2, characterized in that the fourth sections (4h, 4i) of the tape (4) are arranged to cover at least part of the instep (3e) of the user's foot (3). 23. Finger flip flop according to any one of claims 11 to 14, characterized in that at least a part of one of the sixth sections (41.4m) of the tape (4) are arranged to extend in such a way that at least the half of its width is arranged above both sides of the ankle (5) of the user. 24.
