Abstract
The present invention relates to a cooker (1) comprising a cast iron burner plate (2), at least one burner (3) that is situated on the burner plate (2) and a casing (4) having four side walls (5) that support the burner plate (2) wherein said cooker comprises at least one bracket (6) that is produced from sheet metal, that is L-shaped and with one end mounted to the side wall (5) of the casing (4) and the other end to the burner plate (2).
Description
The present invention relates to a cooker comprising a cast iron burner plate.
Nowadays, the burner plate that is situated at the upper surface of the cooker and whereon the burner and the grill are positioned, are produced from easily moldable sheet metal. When the burner plate is produced by casting method, problems arise about the mounting of the burner plate to the lower casing. While connecting the cast iron burner plate and the lower casing to each other without an additional component therebetween, the burner plate may be damaged. Moreover, in order to prevent the end of the screw from being visible from the upper surface of the burner plate, the thickness of the burner plate must be increased, which causes an increase in production costs.
In the state of the art Great Britain Patent Application No. GB481578, a cooker comprising a cast iron burner plate is disclosed.
The aim of the present invention is the realization of a cooker wherein the mounting process of the lower casing to the burner plate is facilitated.
The cooker realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof comprises at least one L-shaped bracket produced from sheet metal, with one end mounted to the side wall of the casing and the other end to the burner plate. Thus, the burner plate, that is seated onto the side walls, is fixed to the casing.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooker comprises at least one protrusion that is situated on the lower surface of the burner plate and at least one drawn part that is situated on the bracket so as to be seated onto the said protrusion. Thus, the bracket is seated onto the protrusion by means of the drawn part.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooker comprises the bracket that is mounted under the burner plate and to the inner side of the casing side wall by fixing the drawn parts to the protrusions with screws. Thus, when the bracket is mounted under the burner plate with screws, the screw ends remain inside the protrusions and the screws are prevented from piercing through the upper surface of the burner plate and from being visible.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooker comprises the elliptic protrusion situated on the lower surface of the cast iron burner plate, and the bracket having the drawn part in the shape matching that of the said protrusion. The elliptic protrusion situated on the lower surface of the cast iron burner plate and the drawn part in the shape suitable to be seated on the protrusion strengthen the connection between the bracket and the burner plate. In addition, the bracket is prevented from changing its position on the protrusion situated on the burner plate and is enabled to remain stationary. Moreover, thanks to this structure, injuries that the pointed corners may cause during the assembly are prevented.
By means of the present invention, a cooker is realized, comprising a bracket that facilitates the mounting process of the lower casing to the burner plate. By means of the bracket, the burner plate and the casing are mounted to each other. The bracket is prevented from changing its position on the protrusion situated on the burner plate and is enabled to remain stationary by means of the elliptic protrusion situated on the lower surface of the cast iron burner plate and the drawn part situated on the bracket, which is in the shape matching that of the said protrusion.
A cooker realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures, where:
- is the perspective view of a cooker.
- is the partial cross-sectional view of the burner plate and the bracket and the screw.
- is the bottom partial view of the burner plate when the bracket is mounted to the burner plate.
- is the exploded view of the bracket, the burner plate and the screw.
The elements illustrated in the figures are numbered as follows:
- Cooker
- Burner plate
- Burner
- Casing
- Side wall
- Bracket
- Protrusion
- Drawn part
The following symbols are used for explicating the cooker (1) of the present invention:
- F: Screw
The cooker (1) comprises a cast iron burner plate (2), at least one burner (3) that is situated on the burner plate (2) and a casing (4) having four side walls (5) that support the burner plate (2) (Figure 1).
The cooker (1) of the present invention comprises at least one L-shaped bracket (6) produced from sheet metal, with one end mounted to the side wall (5) of the casing (4) and the other end to the burner plate (2). Thus, the burner plate (2), that is seated onto the side walls (5), is fixed to the casing (4) (Figure 2, Figure 3, Figure 4).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooker (1) comprises at least one protrusion (7) that is situated on the lower surface of the burner plate (2) and at least one drawn part (8) that is situated on the bracket (6) so as to be seated onto the said protrusion (7). Thus, the bracket (6) is seated onto the protrusion (7) by means of the drawn part (8) and is prevented from moving on the lower surface of the burner plate (2) (Figure 2, Figure 3, Figure 4).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooker (1) comprises the bracket (6) that is mounted under the burner plate (2) by fixing the drawn part (8) to the protrusion (7) with a screw (F). Thus, when the bracket (6) is mounted under the burner plate (2) with the screws (F), the screw (F) ends remain inside the protrusions (7) and the screws (F) are prevented from piercing through the upper surface of the burner plate (2) and from being visible (Figure 2, Figure 3, Figure 4).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooker (1) comprises the elliptic protrusion (7) situated on the lower surface of the cast iron burner plate (2), and the bracket (6) having the drawn part (8) in the shape matching that of the said protrusion (7). The elliptic protrusion (7) situated on the lower surface of the cast iron burner plate (2) and the drawn part (8) in the shape suitable to be seated on the protrusion (7) strengthen the connection between the bracket (6) and the burner plate (2). In addition, the bracket (6) is prevented from changing its position on the burner plate (2) and is enabled to remain stationary. Moreover, thanks to this structure, injuries that the pointed corners may cause during the assembly are prevented (Figure 2, Figure 3, Figure 4).
By means of the present invention, a cooker (1) is realized, comprising a bracket (6) that facilitates the mounting process of the lower casing (4) to the burner plate (2). By means of the bracket (6), the burner plate (2) and the casing (4) are mounted to each other. The bracket (6) is prevented from changing its position on the protrusion (7) situated on the burner plate (2) and is enabled to remain stationary by means of the elliptic protrusion (7) situated on the lower surface of the cast iron burner plate (2) and the drawn part (8) situated on the bracket (6), which is in the shape matching that of the said protrusion (7).
