Abstract
Description
CEPILLO DENTAL ELÉCTRICO e BASS COPPER II ELECTRICAL TOOTHBRUSH and BASS COPPER II
Electric toothbrushes, despite their constant sophistication and diversity of models, present technologies that do not turn out to be very effective, so the enthusiasm on the part of dentists to recommend them is scarce or nil. Its market penetration does not exceed 11% and the latest studies also indicate that the environment provided by the bristles of toothbrushes in general is a source of proliferation of colonies of bacteria that cause various diseases to their users.
In 2009, the EPA (Enviromental Protection Agency) recognized copper as the only metal that offers a bactericidal contact surface, which has resulted in the development of countless anti-bacterial products from this metal.
On the other hand, patent application 134-2010 filed in Chile by Copper Andino describes a method for preparing a biocidal material from polymers.
Divulgación de la invención Disclosure of the invention
The Utility Model consists of an improved electric toothbrush, which has been called "e Bass Copper II" that reproduces Bass's brushing technique, recognized in dentistry as the most efficient brushing technique, which consists of short brush movements back and forth at a 45 ° angle to the surface of the teeth and gums, electro-mechanized, saving work, time, and achieving a more effective result.
