Abstract

Es wird eine elektrische Maschine (1), insbesondere eine Asynchronmaschine, mit einem Rotor (3); einem Stator (5) und einem Gehäuse (7) vorgeschlagen. Der Stator (5) weist an seinen Stirnenden (6) Wickelköpfe (17) auf. Jeder Wickelkopf (17) ist in einem Verguss (19) aus einem elektrisch isolierenden Material aufgenommen, in den axiale Endbereiche von Statorwicklungen (15) an Stirnenden (6) des Stators (5) eingegossen sind. An einer innenliegenden Oberfläche eines Stirnendes (6) des Stators (5) ist eine Verrundung (31) vorgesehen. Durch diese Verrundung (31) können negative Verwirbelungen oder Strömungsabrisse in einer Kühlfluidströmung (27) vermieden und somit eine gleichmäßige und kontinuierliche Kühlung des Stators (5) erreicht werden.
