Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte notamment à une chemise métallique expansible radialement (2), qui présente un diamètre dit "diamètre initial" qui correspond à un état non expansé et un diamètre dit "diamètre optimum" qui correspond à un état expansé, ce diamètre optimum étant inférieur ou égal à son diamètre maximal au-delà duquel elle se romprait, caractérisée par le fait que : - elle comporte dans son état non expansé, contre sa face externe et au moins sur une partie de celle-ci, au moins un enroulement (5) hélicoïdal coaxial; - cet enroulement (5) est constitué d'une fibre ou d'un ensemble de fibres, - chaque spire (50) de l'enroulement est constituée d'une partie principale (500) en contact avec la face externe de la chemise (2) et d'une partie secondaire (501), d'une pièce avec la partie principale (500); - la longueur développée de cette partie secondaire (501) étant telle que se déploie et se plaque contre ladite chemise (2) lors de l'expansion de cette dernière, pour la contraindre dans un état où elle occupe ledit "diamètre optimum".
