Definitions
- the present invention relates to a vehicle link component and a manufacturing method thereof, and more particularly to a vehicle link component in which a link body is formed of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) and a manufacturing method thereof.
- CFRP carbon fiber reinforced plastic
- vehicle link parts such as suspension arms
- vehicle link parts are conventionally made of metal such as steel or aluminum alloy.
- the linking fulcrum member such as a ball joint or bush provided on the link body is provided with a burring process on the link body.
- a surface is formed, and the member is attached to a hole surrounded by the standing surface portion by, for example, press-fitting a rotation fulcrum member (for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2).
- CFRP has come to be used for reducing the weight of automobile parts, but since CFRP does not plastically deform, it is almost impossible to form a standing surface by burring. Even if a standing surface is formed on the link body at the molding stage by using a mold or the like, if a bush or the like is directly press-fitted into the mounting portion, the link body may be damaged.
- Patent Document 2 proposes a method in which a flange is integrally formed on the outer surface of a case of a ball joint by machining, and the flange and the link body are welded without burring the link body. Yes.
- the link main body made of CFRP cannot be welded, this method cannot be applied to a vehicle link part formed of CFRP.
- the present invention has an object to provide a vehicle link part that can be assembled without press-fitting or welding as described above when adopting a CFRP link body for weight reduction or the like, and It is in providing the manufacturing method.
- a vehicle link component includes a hole portion for mounting a pivotal fulcrum member of a link body formed of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP).
- a collar member having a cylindrical portion extending in a penetrating direction and a locking portion extending in a direction along the surface of the link main body from the cylindrical portion is provided.
- the link body is made of CFRP, but the material of the collar is not particularly limited, and metal such as steel and aluminum alloy, plastic, etc. can be applied, and from the aspect of fixing strength to the link body, it is made of metal.
- metal such as steel and aluminum alloy, plastic, etc.
- it may be formed by machining with a cylindrical part, and may be formed by joining to a cylindrical part by welding etc.
- the rotation fulcrum member of the link body can be attached via the collar member. Become. Then, the rotation fulcrum member is first attached to the collar member by press-fitting or the like, and the rotation fulcrum member press-fitted collar can be attached to the rotation fulcrum member mounting hole. The possibility of damage to the mounting portion due to pressure input when directly press-fitting into the CFRP link body is eliminated.
- the cylindrical portion of the collar member is inserted into the hole portion, and the locking portion of the collar member is inserted into the link body.
- the link body made of CFRP is adopted to reduce the weight of the link parts, and the assembly into a desired form can be easily performed without any problems.
- the vehicle link component it is preferable to employ a structure in which an adhesive is interposed at least at a part between the collar member and the link body. If comprised in this way, a collar member will be more reliably fixed to a link main body by the fixing via an adhesive agent.
- the adhesive may be applied to a predetermined surface before insertion into the hole of the collar member or before mounting a nut or a retaining ring, which will be described later.
- the collar member has two engaging portions, and the collar member is sandwiched between the two engaging portions, whereby the collar member is connected to the link body.
- a structure fixed to the hole can be employed.
- one of the two locking portions is a flange integrally formed with the cylindrical portion, and the other is a nut screwed into a screw engraved on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion.
- the two locking portions can be structured to be nuts screwed into screws engraved on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion. If comprised in this way, since a link main body is pinched
- one of the two locking portions is a flange integrally formed with the cylindrical portion, and the other is a retaining ring press-fitted into the cylindrical portion so as to be pressed against one surface of the link body. can do.
- This configuration eliminates the need for machining that engraves screws on the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion as compared with the structure provided with the nut described above, thereby facilitating manufacturing and reducing the cost, making it more suitable for mass production.
- the flange integrally formed with the cylindrical portion is formed by expanding the diameter from the cylindrical portion in a trumpet shape, and at least a part of the inner peripheral surface of the hole portion is along the outer peripheral surface of the flange. It can be set as the structure currently formed in the shape.
- the inner peripheral surface of the hole may be formed in a curved shape substantially completely along the curved surface of the outer peripheral surface of the flange expanded in a trumpet shape, and the cross section in which the corner portion of the inner peripheral surface of the hole is chamfered It may be formed in a polygonal shape.
- pivot fulcrum member a bush or a ball joint is typically mentioned.
- other rotation fulcrum members can be used.
- examples of the vehicle link component according to the present invention include a suspension arm.
- the link main body of the suspension arm is made of metal as shown in Patent Documents 1 and 2 described above.
- the weight of the suspension arm can be significantly reduced by using CFRP in the present invention.
- the vehicle link component manufacturing method is a method of manufacturing the vehicle link component as described above, the step of press-fitting a rotation fulcrum member into the collar member, the collar member and the link main body.
- a step of applying an adhesive to at least a part of the link member a step of inserting the collar member into which the rotation fulcrum member is press-fitted into a rotation fulcrum member mounting hole of the link body, and the inserted color member Fixing to the link main body using the locking portion.
- the CFRP link main body is not press-fitted or welded, and the predetermined assembly can be easily performed while eliminating the possibility of breakage due to the press-fitting into the link main body.
- the vehicle link parts can be significantly reduced in weight.
- the use of the CFRP link body can achieve a significant weight reduction of the link parts for the vehicle, and even the CFRP link body does not cause breakage due to press fitting of the bush, etc. Desired assembly can be easily performed. Further, since the assembly is made with the collar member interposed, it is possible to assemble various existing bushes and the like, and it is possible to make each component compatible in the assembly.
- FIG. 1 shows a suspension arm 1 as a link body in a vehicle link component according to an embodiment of the present invention, and the suspension arm 1 is formed as a molded body of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP).
- CFRP molding method is not particularly limited, and an RTM (Resin Transfer Molding) method, a so-called vacuum assisted RTM method involving decompression in a mold, or the like can be applied.
- RTM Resin Transfer Molding
- the kind of carbon fiber used as a reinforcing fiber is not particularly limited, and the content is not particularly limited.
- the type of the matrix resin is not particularly limited, and either a thermoplastic resin or a thermosetting resin can be used.
- a suspension fulcrum member is attached to the suspension arm 1 as the link body for its own fulcrum for fulcrum or for fulcrum for rotative connection with other members.
- a hole 2 is provided.
- a collar member 3 as shown in FIG. 2 is arranged and inserted into at least one of the rotation fulcrum member mounting holes 2.
- the collar member 3 has a cylindrical portion 4 extending through the hole 2 and a flange 5 as a locking portion extending from the cylindrical portion 4 in a direction along the surface of the suspension arm 1.
- the cylindrical part 4 and the flange 5 are comprised by the metal collar member 3 integrally formed by machining.
- the collar member 3 configured as described above is attached and fixed to the hole 2 of the suspension arm 1 as shown in FIG.
- the cylindrical portion 4 of the collar member 3 is inserted into the hole 2 of the suspension arm 1, and the flange 5 is brought into contact with the surface of the suspension arm 1 around the hole 2.
- Adhesive 6 is applied in advance to a predetermined portion of the outer surface of the collar member 3, and at least in a portion where the flange 5 of the collar member 3 contacts the surface of the suspension arm 1, the color member 3 is interposed via the adhesive 6. It is joined and fixed to the suspension arm 1.
- a rotary fulcrum member (not shown) made of a bush, a ball joint, or the like is inserted and fixed in advance in the cylindrical portion 4 of the collar member 3 by press-fitting or the like.
- the collar member 3 is inserted, joined and fixed to the suspension arm 1.
- the collar member has two engaging portions, and the suspension member is sandwiched between the two engaging portions, so that the collar member is more firmly attached to the hole portion of the suspension arm.
- a fixed structure can be employed.
- a screw 13 is engraved on a part of the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion 12 of the collar member 11, and a flange 14 formed integrally with the cylindrical portion 12 as one locking portion;
- the suspension arm 1 is clamped by the nut 15 screwed into the screw 13 as the other locking portion, and the collar member 11 can be firmly fixed to the hole 2 portion of the suspension arm 1.
- the adhesive 16 can be interposed at least between the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion 12 of the collar member 11 and the inner peripheral surface of the hole 2 of the suspension arm 1 to improve the bonding and fixing strength.

- the flange 5 as a separate member from the main body of the suspension arm 1 made of CFRP. Since the collar member 3 having the above is provided in the rotation fulcrum member attaching hole 2 portion, the rotation fulcrum member can be attached via the collar member 3. Since the rotation fulcrum member is mounted on the collar member 3 in advance by press-fitting or the like, the collar member 3 having been press-fitted with the rotation fulcrum member can be attached to the rotation fulcrum member mounting hole 2 part. The possibility of damage to the mounting portion due to the pressure input when directly press-fitting to the suspension arm 1 made of CFRP can be eliminated. As a result, the adoption of the CFRP suspension arm 1 is actually possible.
- the collar member 3 having such a role can be easily rotated by simply inserting the cylindrical portion 4 into the hole 2 and bringing the flange 5 into contact with the surface of the suspension arm 1 preferably with an adhesive 6. It is possible to attach and fix the collar 3 already fitted with the dynamic fulcrum member to the suspension arm 1 in a predetermined form.
- a nut 15 as a locking portion is added and fastened so that the nut 15 preferably comes into contact with the surface of the suspension arm 1 via an adhesive.
- the collar member 11 having already been press-fitted with the pivot fulcrum member can be easily attached and fixed firmly to the suspension arm 1 in a predetermined form. Furthermore, as shown in FIGS.
- the present invention is applicable to any vehicle link component having a CFRP link body.
