Figure 20 - are the screen images that show the warning message given by the user registry screen regarding the special mode option of the search and user capturing method subject to the invention.
The search and user capturing method subject to the invention basically comprises, server and central processing units which have their own processors, which obtain their location information from location finding technologies such as GPS and the like, which can share data via the internet by using connection protocols such as GSM, 3G, GPRS and WIFI; which includes an electronic communication having a screen and a data entry method, and software and/or hardware with which necessary controls will be carried out using said information obtained through such devices and to share such information with each other. The method subject to the invention transmits information regarding other users around the user and enables communication with other users. In order to carry out the method subject to the invention a centre which provides the comparison and conversion of information obtained from the mobile clients of users and in which queries can be made is required. The data received from users, shall be processed and matched by said centre and shall be converted into data that can be submitted to the users. In the method each user and consequently each electronic device shall function as a separate mobile client and they shall be connected together as long as the centre and the user permit them to be connected.
In the first stage of the method according to the invention the registry of users shall be performed. For this purpose the users, shall submit the information they have entered in the registry screen that shall be sent to themselves to the centre (101). This information submitted to the centre by the user, shall be cross examined by the centre to determine if the user name entered is suitable, if the e-mail address is correct, if the password is entered correctly into the password confirmation section and if the vocation groups is chosen or not. As one of the aims of the method is to be able to track and capture people included in a certain vocational group it shall be mandatory for the user to enter his/her vocation group during registration. The user who cannot pass this examination, will receive his/her user records back on the screen and said user will be requested to re-fill the user registry form and consequently the above mentioned information shall be sent back to the centre.
When it has been confirmed that the user has filled the registry screen correctly, it shall be checked if the special mode selection has been made or not (102). The special modes which shall be determined by the centre, shall be arranged according to special vocational groups, social circle of friends, individual preferences and personal information; wherein the method shall only function for those users who have chosen such modes.
If a special mode is chosen for example, those who want to be within a certain community group or a certain vocational group shall chose the vocational mode and thus they will have been registered into the database wherein only the members of this special mode group are registered in. Therefore by virtue of the data obtained by the user from GPS or similar modules within a mobile client the location services shall only be shared and followed with the members of said group (104).
Within the registry process of the method subject to the invention, following the special mode selection control, those users who have not chosen this mode, shall be recorded into the data group of the vocation group they have notified to be a part of during their registration. Following the registry of a vocation which shall be used as the main definer of users in the method, by virtue to the data to be obtained from the GPS and similar modules within the mobile client, the location information of the user shall be started to be tracked by the centre (105).
Following the registration procedure carried out on the mobile client by the user, the user can start to use the method from the main screen. In order for said method to be able to function properly it needs to be able to share the number of users and the location of each user. In order to ensure this, firstly it has to be ensured that the users who have been making a search have already shared their location information.
For this reason in order for a user to be able to make a search, the location of the user needs to be instantaneously checked (201) by the centre. By matching the vocational information that has been obtained by an individual by means of location information, the location of related person on the earth shall be determined. The feature which shall enable for people to
be tracked and for their location information to be shared independent from their names and vocations with other users who are also using the search and user capturing method subject to the invention is a very important feature as it will make it more feasible to carry on communication. For this reason each user who has shared their own location information the information and profile details belonging to the location of other users shall be submitted.
In order to prevent information pollution and in order to match only people who have physical access, information belonging to the user who is closer to the location of the user shall be shown in the close vicinity user screen (202). In the case that the close vicinity users are too many to be shown in one page of the screen the name of each close vicinity user shall be listed in lines and the user shall be able to scroll down the list. By this means each close vicinity user can be-able to be observed by the user.
Together with this the direction of the users in relation to each other, shall be shown in a radar or map independent of the orientation of the mobile device thus the closeness and orientations of said users shall be able to be observed. The method of searching and user capturing subject of the invention not only shall be used in order to search for people within the surroundings but it shall also be used in order to capture users. Capturing shall be carried out in two ways one of which is searching for people according to their names and finding people according to their names or by determining any person within a vocational group. Following a search for a user by name or by vocation the person or member of the vocational group who is in a certain distance shall be shown on the results screen (203).
After seeing the information belonging to the people the user has been searching for on the results screen, the user shall be able to communicate with said people or could be able to see their location on a map or radar.
Despite this, if people whose name or vocation can be seen in the search results on the results screen change their locations or if the user changes his/her location the distances between said people may increase.
If such a situation occurs said people will no longer be shown on the results screen and/or a new list of people shall need to be searched for to replace those people who have moved out of this certain range. To be able to achieve this, a real time location tracking service shall be carried out. If a change between the closeness ranges of users have not occurred the previous list of results shall be continued to be displayed (204).
By means of the radar located in the client view of the search and capturing method subject to the invention, the users shall be able to see where the owner of the client who has been making the search is located in relation to the other users who are in compliance with the search criteria of the person making the search.
The centre shall decide on the priority of the search range in which the method subject to the invention shall start making the search. Also the distance ranges should also be able to be selected as the users are enabled to change the distances determined by the centre. The said range value can be a difference of a distance on a map from a plan view or even a distance value of two people when measured as walking distance or arrival distance via a vehicle. The difference between the walking distance and the distance that can be covered by a vehicle can be very different in comparison to each other and one of these distances may need to be selected. This selection can be provided by automatically changing the distance value by connecting to velocity information that shall be derived from the change according to time for the location information of the person making the search.
In a different application of the invention, when the special fields in which the user of the mobile client is determined by the centre, it shall be made possible to change the range according to the limits of the special fields. For example when the location of a user who enters into a large exhibition area, a range adjustment that covers the whole of the exhibition centre shall be able to be made, by this means the users who are visiting the fair will be enabled to communicate and interact with each other. This application can be specialized for different areas such as shopping centres, street fairs and campuses.
Moreover the range of the method of the invention can also be configured to vary together with the velocity information that can be reached from the location data that has been inquired by the centre. In said application type the velocity values of the users will be used by the centre and the distance ranges for those users who are going fast can be increased or users who are slow can be taken out of the query results and by this means a more efficient list of people can be able to be presented. These changes which can be carried out by the centre shall be able to be carried out automatically.
