Abstract

The invention relates to a method for simulating the dynamic occlusion between upper and lower jaw, in which a virtual denture model is imaged in a virtual articulator on the basis of 3D scan data of the actual state of the upper and lower jaw and axiographic data of a patient such that the simulation of the jaw movement for verifying the dynamic occlusion can be undertaken on the basis of the combination of the virtual denture model and the virtual articulator. By way of example, the method can be applied in the production of orthodontic devices for treating craniomandibular dysfunctions.
