Description
DESCRIPTION
MOBILE PAYMENT METHOD VIA MOBILE DEVICES
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] Mobile payment methods are developing as alternative to payment transactions, such as cash, checks, bills, debit and credit cards.
[0002] Currently, the payment transactions with debit and credit cards are processed verification and approval of the transaction through reading of required information over sales terminals. Customers should carry all cards of different issuer banks. The payment transaction should be processed by using of the related card to the merchant by customer. The PIN (Personal Identification Number) of the card should be entered by the customer to POS or pin pad, if required.
[0003] Payment of transaction through internet retailing with credit cards, the card number, and some additional personal confidential information are required. Thus, this information is shared with third parties. [0004] Today, the ongoing studies are to develop more simple and user-friendly transaction payment methods.
[0005] Although; there are many systems constructed as mobile payment methods, even the generally accepted and commonly used ones in real-life, because of the complexity, utilization difficulties and requirement of additional equipment could not widespread enough. These systems are using particularly evolved equipment, such as; Near Filed Communication (NFC), Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) and Bluetooth technologies which includes the related card information transfer pathways to POS via labels, barcodes, chips or flash memories.
[0006] In NFC payment method, seller should have a capable contactless payment system. Since the NFC featured devices are not very widespread and, utilization difficulties of NFC property subsequently acquired with additional hardware devices, this system is not able to become prevalent enough.
[0007] Other payment methods in which the card information physically suppressed on labels, chips and flash memories, the additional external hardware should be mount to the mobile devices. In another system, the card information suppressed into virtually formed
and "Barcode" or "QR Code" called, one or two-dimensional barcode visuais, anu snouiu be sense and read by POS terminals by specific technologies.
[0008] Remarkable developments are necessary for, not only POS devices; but also, mobile device hardware for these payment systems to become more prevalent. Thereby almost all of these systems are bring along with their challenges and complexities.
[0009] To satisfy the security bothers of the internet clients, there are many studies to have the card information and transfer it to the merchants, safely, which are still not adequate. Consequently, additional security options offered, such as; 3D security systems, virtual cards, pre-paid cards and door-step-payment. In all of these systems, clients should load the required amount of the transaction before the shopping or hold the cash with them.
[0010] The basic withdrawals of all of these systems are security, to become common and utilization difficulties. Since then card information directly transfers to the POS terminal, security vulnerabilities are exist. The card information line open to attacks, since it keeps on labels, barcodes, chips or flash memories. To prevent these attacks, so additional security steps and operations were included to the payment transactions processes. Yet, these additional controls extend the process and therefore cause reducing of usability.
SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
[001 1 ] By means of this invention, with small-scale integration development of POS, Bank/ Domestic Short Message System Forwarding and Switch System/ Other Switch Systems will be ready to use by using currently employed transaction payment methods with cards and without the necessity of changing POS payment operation process. Besides, by contrast with other payment methods, since any particularly developed hardware is not required to mount to the device or hold, this method will be used with current mobile devices. This will make it easier to become prevalent. With this invention, transaction payments would be done by any mobile devices.
[0012] Although the transformation of card information between hardware are encrypted in other payment methods, it is still lie open to attacks like cloning, etc. Yet, in this method, information belong to card is not record on mobile device. Even if any attack would occur during the transfer of information between mobile device and systems, since this
information does not pose a threat, system is as safe as currently empioyeu ruo payment systems.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0016] The invention a method provides a transaction payment with an application works on mobile device and a physical or virtual POS system without using a plastic card.
[0017] For payment of the transaction, customer opens MA (6) and enters matchless customer number and PIN. The matchless information of customer number and PIN reaches to CIG (2) through HTTPS. CIG (2) verificates the customers with this information, takes the customers card information from IB (4) and transfers to mobile device. The transferred card number could be included masked card number, card limit, bonuses and the statement date.
[0017] Merchant enters the amount of transaction and POS (5) transfers the matchless information which includes the Terminal Identification, System Trace Audit Number (STAN), and the amount to PG (3). This operation keeps on PG (3) as pending operation.
On POS (5), El (10) forms, which includes the following information or more; me amouni of the transaction, Terminal Identification and STAN. El (10) could be "QR Code", two- dimensional barcode or an encrypted (or not) visual or audial formed by another method. MA (6) in MD (1 ) reads El (10) which forms on POS (5) screen and separates the information. MA (6) transfers the corresponding operation information to CIG (2). The corresponding information could be include; related card data, Terminal Identification, STAN and the amount of the transaction. CIG (2) finds the related card number and transfers to PG (3) with the information come from MA (6). PG (3) finds the corresponding pending operation and transfers all operation information to POS (5). Then, POS (5), with all operation information and currently employed POS payment algorithm, makes the payment of the transaction through AB (7) with operation information. AB (7) transfers the payment result information to POS (5). After POS (5) printed out the result of the payment, it forwards the result information to PG (3).
[0018] PG (3) is capable to send this information through "push notification" or SMS to MA (6).
[0019] In another case of this invention, when customer arrives the payment step of the online-shopping, virtual POS (9) transfers the matchless information which includes the Terminal Identification, System Trace Audit Number (STAN), and the amount to PG (3). This operation keeps on PG (3) as pending operation. El (10), which forms for that transaction only, disappears on interface of user virtual POS, which includes the following information or more; the amount of the transaction, Terminal Identification and STAN. El (10) could be "QR Code", two-dimensional barcode or an encrypted (or not) visual or audial formed by another method.
[0020] Customer opens MA (6) and enters matchless customer number and passcode. The matchless information of customer number and passcode reaches to CIG (2) through HTTPS. CIG (2) verifies the customers with this information, takes the customers card information from IB (4) and transfers to mobile device. The transferred card number could be including masked card number, card limit, bonuses and the statement date.

The corresponding information could be include; related card data, Terminal Identification, STAN and the amount of the transaction. CIG (2) finds the related card
number and transfers to PG (3) with the information come from MA (6). Pu (o imus me corresponding pending operation and transfers all operation information to virtual POS (9). Then, with the information comes from virtual POS (9), and currently employed POS payment algorithm, makes the payment of the transaction through AB (7). AB (7) transfers the payment result information to virtual POS (9). Virtual POS (9) shows the result of the payment, it forwards the result information to PG (3).
[0022] PG (3) is capable to send this information through "push notification" or SMS to MA (6).
[0023] A different case of this invention, the encrypted (fixed encrypted or not encrypted visual or audial) information of related item, service, and such, pre-published over physical material, virtual or audial broadcasting.
[0024] Customer opens MA (6) and enters matchless customer number and PIN. The matchless information of customer number and PIN reaches to CIG (2) through HTTPS. CIG (2) verifies the customers with this information, takes the customers card information from IB (4) and transfers to mobile device. The transferred card number could be including masked card number, card limit, bonuses, the statement date or more.
[0025] MA (6) in MD (1 ) reads El (10) which pre-published over physical material, virtual or audial broadcasting and separates the information. Any additional information could be entered over MA (6). MA (6) transfers the corresponding operation information to CIG (2). The corresponding information could be include; related card data, Terminal Identification, STAN and the amount of the transaction. CIG (2) finds the related card number and transfers to PG (3) with the information come from MA (6). PG (3) finds the corresponding pending operation and transfers all operation information to virtual POS (9).
