Description
また、本発明の他の一局面は、上述したような通液型キャパシタと、直流電源と、通液型キャパシタを収容する容器と、を備え、直流電源は正極側及び負極側の極性を互いに交換可能に、第1電極及び第2電極に接続されており、容器は、通液型キャパシタにイオン性物質を含有する液体を供給するための給液口、及び通液型キャパシタから処理された液体を排出するための排液口を備える脱イオン液製造装置である。
さらに、他の一局面は、上述したような脱イオン液製造装置を用いる脱イオン液の製造方法であって、直流電源により第1電極及び第2電極に電圧を印加しながら給液口からイオン性物質を含有する被処理液を供給することにより、各電極表面にイオン性物質に由来するイオンを吸着させ、排液口からイオン性物質が除去された処理液を排出する第1の工程と、各電極の正極と負極との極性を第1の工程とは逆にして電圧を印加しながら、給液口からイオン性物質を含有する被処理液を供給することにより、各電極表面に付着したイオンを脱離させ、排液口からイオンを含むイオン濃縮液を排出する第2の工程と、を備える脱イオン液の製造方法である。
図1は、本実施形態の通液型キャパシタ100の構成の要部を説明するための部分分解斜視模式図、図2Aは通液型キャパシタ100の上面模式図、図2Bはその正面模式図である。

表面官能基量=((空試験滴定量)-(試料滴定量))×0.1×f(塩酸ファクタ)×50/20
多孔質炭素シートとして、中心粒子径6μm、比表面積1700m2/g、細孔容積0.73mL/g、平均細孔径1.7nm、表面官能基量0.33meq/gの活性炭粒子(ヤシ殻を原料とする活性炭粒子、クラレケミカル(株)製GW-H) 100質量部に対して、ポリテトラフルオロエチレンバインダ 10質量部を含有する活性炭シートA1を用いた。活性炭シートA1は、厚み250μmであり、縦60mm,横60mmに裁断したものを用いた。
イオン除去率(%)=(供給水の電気伝導度-排出水の電気伝導度)/排出水の電気伝導度×100
なお、吸着時には排出される水の電気伝導度が低下し、脱離時には排出される水の電気伝導度が増加する。吸着量は1サイクル目で最大となり、サイクルを重ねる毎に徐々に低下する。吸着と脱離のバランスが安定した10サイクル目の吸着量をセルの吸着量として扱った。時間(秒)に対してプロットした電気伝導度の変化を図7のグラフに示す。平均除去率を算出したところ、84%であった。結果を表1に示す。
100ml/分の流量で通水する代わりに、250ml/分、400ml/分、または1000ml/分の流量で通水した以外は実施例1と同様にして脱イオン液製造装置の特性を評価した。結果を表1に示す。
10セルのキャパシタ構造を有する積層体を形成する代わりに、同様の順で各層を積層した20セルのキャパシタ構造を有する積層体を形成し、通液型キャパシタ及び脱イオン液製造装置を作成した以外は、実施例1~4と同様にして脱イオン液製造装置の特性を評価した。結果を表1に示す。
タブ部間にチタン箔を配置せずに通液型キャパシタ及び脱イオン液製造装置を作成した以外は、実施例1~8と同様にして脱イオン液製造装置の特性を評価した。結果を表1に示す。

Claims (9)
- 複数のセルが積層されて形成された通液型キャパシタであって、
前記セルは、第1電極と第2電極と前記第1電極と前記第2電極に介在するセパレータとを備え、
前記第1電極は、黒鉛シートからなる第1集電体シートと、該第1集電体シートに積層された第1多孔質炭素シートと、該第1多孔質炭素シートに積層されたカチオン交換膜とを備え、
前記第2電極は、黒鉛シートからなる第2集電体シートと、該2集電体シートに積層された第2多孔質炭素シートと、該第2多孔質炭素シートに積層されたアニオン交換膜とを備え、
前記カチオン交換膜と前記アニオン交換膜とは前記セパレータを介して対向するように配置されており、
前記第1集電体シート及び前記第2集電体シートの少なくとも一方は、前記各多孔質炭素シートと対向しないタブ部を有し、
少なくとも2つ以上の前記タブ部同士は、該タブ部に接触するように配された導電性シートで電気的に接続されていることを特徴とする通液型キャパシタ。 - 前記導電性シートはチタン箔またはチタン合金箔である請求項1に記載の通液型キャパシタ。
- 複数の前記タブ部同士は、少なくとも1個の金属ボルトにより締結されている請求項1または2に記載の通液型キャパシタ。
- 前記金属ボルトはチタンまたはチタン合金から形成されたボルトである請求項3に記載の通液型キャパシタ。
- 前記金属ボルトはボルトヘッドを有し、前記ボルトヘッドと前記導電性シートの間にはチタンまたはチタン合金から形成された金属板が介在している請求項3または4に記載の通液型キャパシタ。
- 請求項1~5の何れか1項に記載の通液型キャパシタと、直流電源と、前記通液型キャパシタを収容する容器と、を備え、
前記直流電源は正極側及び負極側の極性を互いに交換可能に、前記第1電極及び前記第2電極に接続されており、
前記容器は、前記通液型キャパシタにイオン性物質を含有する液体を供給するための給液口、及び前記通液型キャパシタから処理された液体を排出するための排液口を備えることを特徴とする脱イオン液製造装置。 - 前記直流電源の電圧が1.5~2Vの範囲である請求項6に記載の脱イオン液製造装置。
- 請求項6または7に記載の脱イオン液製造装置を用いる脱イオン液の製造方法であって、
前記直流電源により前記第1電極及び第2電極に電圧を印加しながら前記給液口からイオン性物質を含有する被処理液を供給することにより、各電極表面に前記イオン性物質に由来するイオンを吸着させ、前記排液口から前記イオン性物質が除去された処理液を排出する第1の工程と、
前記各電極の正極と負極との極性を前記第1の工程とは逆にして電圧を印加しながら、前記給液口からイオン性物質を含有する被処理液を供給することにより、各電極表面に付着した前記イオンを脱離させ、前記排液口から前記イオンを含むイオン濃縮液を排出する第2の工程と、を備えることを特徴とする脱イオン液の製造方法。 - 前記第1の工程と前記第2の工程とを、前記第1の工程の時間/前記第2の工程の時間の比が1~5になるように交互に行う請求項8に記載の脱イオン液の製造方法。
