Definitions

  • planetary gearboxes as known from the patent descriptions JP 62099293 and US 4854191, which are using unidirectional clutches that are locking-up rotary motion of sun gears in relation to the frame in one direction. Gearing down in these gearboxes takes place by unlocking of unidirectional clutch of higher speed, thereby the lower speed becomes operational automatically. Gearing up takes place by locking-up unidirectional clutch of the higher speed, and without releasing of the lock-up of unidirectional clutch of the lower speed, in the middle of changing the speeds, no other speed is used for maintaining the continuity of gearbox operation.

  • Obtaining the high value of transmission ratios for the highest speeds is possible owing to the installation of satellite gears in a way preventing their rotation in relation to each other, in a form of a block - this allows for additional increase of the amount of transmission ratio when transferring the torque from satellite gears with smaller diameter onto the satellite gears with larger diameter, which results in a higher peripheral speed at the same rotational speed, in the solutions, where the satellite gears are mounted rotationally in relation to each other and the whole gearbox is a group of a few separate planetary mechanisms, the span between tne lowest ana nignest speed is lower.

  • the two-way positive clutch 20 consisting of centrifugal interlocks 201 and pulling springs 202, which is mating with control element 22, is mounted on the element 18 rigidly connected with frame 10.
  • the elements 19 blocking rotary motion in relation to frame 10 make up the point of support for centrifugal interlocks 201 in the course, when they are blocking rotational movement of large sun gear 1.
  • the clutch 21, mounted on element 18 rigidly connected with frame 10, features the structure that is analogous to the structure of clutch 20, and consists of centrifugal interlocks 211, pulling springs 212 and is also mating with control element 22.
