Definitions
- the state of the art shows some ways to try to prevent such thefts, for example the machines that pack the whole suitcase with plastics and that are present in most airports. They solve the issue of giving signs that the luggage has been opened and allows the user to check the contents of the luggage before leaving the airport, protect the suitcases from dirt and damage, but present a high cost, sometimes long queues for the user and the condition of being placed at the airport.
- BR PI 8904096-1 This invention described above is registered as BR PI 8904096-1, known as Protec Bag.
- the document BR PI 0405763 cites a sealing system for protection of suitcases that has nylon cover, top opening, eyelets throughout, also having nylon band wrapping and a conventional locking catch.
- the invention seeks to give security to the suitcases but does not protect the suitcase from dirt and does not even show the break-in.
- Document BR MU 8702766 cites a cover for a suitcase, which is intended to keep the suitcase. It is not disposable and has no means of detecting violations of the suitcases.
- the document BR MU 8801699 cites a protector applied to suitcases which is presented in a cover with slots for handles and lugs, being fixed with struts that are pierced by certain places of the cover, the assembly being closed by push button, zipper or velcro. This invention seeks to preserve the suitcase.
- Some of these inventions use the padlocks that are often opened and again locked with master keys leaving no sign that they have been opened.
- the cover to protect suitcases should be made of sturdy plastic and shaped like a package that allows to envelop the whole suitcase in the bottom and also laterally. Considering that the size of the bags are mostly produced in small, medium and large, the cover should be produced considering the average of the sizes produced.
- flaps for the closure of the cover over the suitcase. These flaps should have at their ends, high quality adhesives that do not allow their removal, making the flaps of the cover and the cover a single body. To remove it, it would be necessary to tear it.
- flaps there should be four flaps, one on each side of the cover, each having a function in the closure of the cover. Two of them will be cut to allow access to the upper transport handle, one of which has a high-performance adhesive to attach to the other, a third flap will serve to attach to the first two and the fourth will have different characteristics, in three or more parts, so that one of these parts can be pierced by the handstrap and the stem that rises to when you want to carry the suitcase using the wheels.
- this flap should be glued to the top of the bag, passing the side of the stem that rises and next to the carrying strap, and is glued to the other flaps that are attached to the bag.
- All ends of the hood flaps should have high strength adhesives, except the one that will fold first at the cover closure.
- the stickers on the case cover will ensure the safety and protection of the suitcase because to remove them, it will be necessary to tear the cover off and thus allow the user to visualize the attempted theft, allowing you to check the contents of your luggage before leaving the airport.
- the invention which uses machinery for wrapping a suitcase with pvc also ensures the storage of the suitcase and the certainty that in a case of violation the user can readily perceive.
- the cover also offers these benefits, but convenience for the user to even put his cover, without having to face queues in airports and nor to count on the presence of these services in the airports wherever you are.
- the user can leave the house or the hotel, with his bag already packed and identified, speeding up his boarding, as he will not need to go through counters to pack his suitcase and not run the risk of a certain airport not having the service or even the service being unavailable for any problem.
- the user will be able to take several covers for your trip and also advertise some service or some company.
- the cover should be disposable and ecologically speaking, you should use a smaller amount of plastic than is used in packing machines.
- sealing adhesives may come in more than one unit per flap, allowing the cover to be used more than once, bringing savings to the user.
- plastic will allow the customization of the covers, with colors, drawings and symbols that some user chooses to differentiate their suitcase and to make it easier its visualization in the mats of the airports.
- the Suitcase to protect suitcases must have one or more printed pictures for insertion of user data, such as your name, telephone, destination, airline and others that may be necessary for greater user safety.
- the cover for protection of suitcases carries important differentials, such as ease of installation that can be made by the user in his residence, use of adhesives of high resistance that will guarantee to the user the visualization of robbery attempt, personalization of the external face with characteristics chosen by the user, frame for insertion of user data to facilitate its location in case of lost luggage.
- suitcases and luggage cover can be manufactured in different sizes, such as small, medium, large and extra large. As their use will be involving almost the entire surface of the suitcase, such as in an act of packing the suitcase and using the upper flaps to attach themselves to high-strength adhesives, the suitcase will be fully protected from tampering, contact with substances that could contaminate it or spoil it and alert the user if it is broken that your suitcase may have been tampered with.
- Cover sizes will surely suit virtually every type and size of suitcase, because by putting the suitcase inside the cover, it will be possible to adjust the flaps to suit the size of the suitcase, for small adjustments of width or even certain curvatures, pull a little more or a little less the closing flaps, before sealing with the adhesives.
- the bottom of the cover should contain cutouts for passing the wheels or even be made of a strip of plastic that passes preferably between the wheels, going from one side to another, leaving only the bottom of the suitcase in the region of the wheels.
- FIGURE 1 is a perspective view of the Cover for protection of suitcases, highlighting the four flaps that will allow the cover to close, protecting it and preventing access to its contents.

- FIGURE 12 is a front bottom view of the cover, with a different or optional bottom configuration shown in Figure 3, where instead of cutouts for the wheel passage, there is a strip of the cover that attaches to the bottom of the suitcases, leaving space greater for the passage of the wheels or the supports of the suitcase.
- FIGURE 13 shows a perspective view of the cap, especially the flaps containing two adhesives each, which will enable reuse of the cap.
- FIGURE 14 shows a top view of the cover, the flaps containing two adhesives each being highlighted, which will enable the cover to be reused.
- the cover (2) which should preferably be made of malleable material as plastic, noting that it should be resistant and difficult to break, to ensure a good degree of safety and protection to the suitcases (1) .
- the cover 2 should preferably be constructed in the form of a non-restrictive package so that it can envelop the entire suitcase 1, having at its bottom, cutouts 9 for engaging the wheels 13 and the supports, and can also be constructed without the cutouts (9) for engaging the wheels (13); in which case the bottom of the cover would have a strip 16 that would pass through the space between the wheels 13 and provide support for closing the assembly, leaving a space for wheels and supports in the bottom of the suitcase 15.
- the side flap (3) which should not have adhesive, should be folded, noting that it has a cutout (9) so as to leave the handstrap (10) free. Then remove the adhesive protection (7) from the second side handle (4) and after covering any side flap (3) without adhesive, leaving the upper hand strap of the bag (10) through its cut-out (9), pull it out and glue it to the flap below (4).
- the user should always first use the adhesive closest to the end of the flap, reserving the other adhesive for reuse of the cover.
- the front flap (5) should have a cutout (9) for passing the handgrip (10).
- the central part of the closure flap (17) is to pass between the pulling rod (11) and between the handstrap (10), to be glued onto the other three previously bonded and bonded flaps. Important firmness to ensure the cover is firm and secure.
- the user should then remove the adhesive protection (7) from the two lateral parts of the closing flap (6) and glue them onto the previously adhesive flaps. That way the suitcase will be covered and protected. Because it is disposable, the user should cut the cover for removal, remembering that if it has two adhesives (7) on each flap, the user should cut the cover just after the adhesive so that it can reuse the cover, using the reserve adhesive, which is more internal in the flap.
- the invention presents innovation by the ease of placement because it does not depend on machines or third parties, as it offers as a closure the powerful adhesives (7) available in the market, possibility to reuse at least once, guarantee convenience, protection and tranquility to leave home or a hotel with your bag ready to be checked out.
- cover (2) may have printed pictures (14) on its body, it will be possible for the user to write his name, destination, airline, contact phone number, flight number and other information he deems necessary.
- cover presents a good opportunity for companies to advertise, as the suitcases travel and parade through numerous places.
- the invention presents an evolution in the state of the art, as it does not contain eyelets, cordovies, velcro, or zipper and does not depend on third parties and machines for their placement. It is a disposable cover that allows the user to reuse, carry with them as many covers as needed and to purchase at commercial points when they need it.
- the invention described thus becomes innovative and of great relevance, offering the travelers an option of preservation and security of their suitcases, which if they are violated will be easy to verify, allowing the user to report to those responsible in time to take action; because when detects a violation after the airport gates, nothing more can be claimed.
