Abstract

The invention relates to processes for upgrading products obtained from hydrocarbon pyrolysis, equipment useful for such processes, and the use of upgraded pyrolysis products. A tar-containing stream recovered from the pyrolysis effluent is mixed with a utility fluid and subsequently hydroprocessed.
