Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Erhöhung der Temperatur von in einem Hochofen (1) am Hochofenkopf (5) anfallendem und über Standleitungen (6) aus dem Hochofen (1) abgeleitetem Gichtgas. Dabei wird das Gichtgas am Hochofenkopf (5) und/oder in den Standleitungen (6) mit Verbrennungsabgasen aus zumindest einem an dem Hochofenkopf (5) und/oder den Standleitungen (6) angebrachten Brenner (11) vermischt. Die Verbrennungsabgase haben eine höhere Temperatur als das Gichtgas. Ein weiterer Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Hochofen (1) mit einem Hochofenkopf (5) und mit Standleitungen (6) zur Ableitung von Gichtgas aus dem Hochofenkopf (5), wobei am Hochofenkopf (5) und/oder in den Standleitungen (6) zumindest ein Brenner (11) vorhanden ist, dessen Verbrennungsabgase mit dem Gichtgas am Hochofenkopf (5) und/oder in den Standleitungen (6) vermischbar sind.
