Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un tube de lingotière constitué de cuivre ou d'un alliage de cuivre pour une lingotière de coulée continue, ledit procédé consistant à former un tube d'ébauche sur un mandrin correspondant à la forme intérieure de la lingotière par l'application d'une force à partir de l'extérieur et à retirer le mandrin du tube de lingotière (1, 1a) après l'opération de formage. L'application de la force est réalisée par un mouvement relatif du tube d'ébauche en direction d'une matrice entourant le tube d'ébauche, la matrice présentant une structure de mise à la forme pour produire un profilage à froid (6, 6a ; 7, 7a) sur la face extérieure (5) du tube de lingotière (1, 1a), de sorte que le profilage à froid (6, 6a ; 7, 7a) est produit au moyen de la matrice lors du formage du tube d'ébauche sur le mandrin.
