La presente invención, según se expresa en el enunciado de esta memoria descriptiva, se refiere a un nuevo concepto de fuente de alimentación, la cual ha sido concebida para su aplicación en sistemas de alumbrado con regulación de flujo eléctrico, también conocido como flujo luminoso. La invención permite regular el flujo luminoso de lámparas que trabajan en régimen de continua como por ejemplo lámparas LED (Light Emitting Diode) dependiendo del voltaje eficaz existente en cada momento en la linea de alterna a la cual se conecte. De este modo, podrán incorporarse luminarias basadas en tecnología LED a las líneas de alumbrado con sistemas de regulación de flujo existentes, así como utilizar esta técnica en nuevas instalaciones. La utilización de esta técnica en alimentación de lámparas en continua presenta importantes ventajas respecto a las existentes .
