本発明の実施形態1を図1ないし図15を参照しつつ説明する。本実施形態に係る電池配線モジュール20は、正極及び負極の電極端子12を有する複数個の単電池11を並べてなる単電池群10に取り付けられるものである。なお、図1においては単電池群10の一部(単電池7つ分)を示している。以下、正極の電極端子12を正極端子12A、負極の電極端子12を負極端子12Bといい両者を総括するときは電極端子12という。
単電池11は、扁平な直方体形状をなしている。単電池11の上面11Aには、図1に示すように、正極端子12A及び負極端子12Bが形成されている。電極端子12は、金属板材からなる台座(図示せず)と、台座から上方に向かって丸棒状に突出する電極ポスト13Bとを備える。電極ポスト13Bの表面には、図示しないねじ山が形成されている。
電池用配線モジュール20は、単電池群10の図1に示す左右方向に並ぶ二列の電極端子12の列に取り付けられる。電池配線モジュール20は、単電池11の正極端子12A及び負極端子12Bの電極ポスト13Bにそれぞれ挿通されて接続される一対の貫通孔23を有する複数のバスバー21と、バスバー21に接続され単電池11の電圧を検知する複数の電圧検知端子25と、バスバー21を保持する保持部32,60,83を有する絶縁樹脂製の樹脂プロテクタ30と、を備える。
樹脂プロテクタ30は、保持部32,60,83を有する保持ユニット31を、図1に示すように、単電池11の並び方向に沿って並べて連結したものである。保持ユニット31の連結構造の詳細については後述する。
第2保持ユニット31Bは、図2および図3に示すように、バスバー21および電圧検知端子25を収容し保持する保持部32と、電圧検知端子25に接続された検知電線Wを導出する導出溝45と、導出溝45から導出された電圧検知端子25の検知電線Wを収容する電線収容部50と、保持部32を覆う第1蓋部41と、電線収容部50を覆う第2蓋部55と、を備えている。これらの部材は一体的に形成されている。以下、第2保持ユニット31Bの各部材について説明する。
第2保持ユニット31Bの保持部32は、図3に示すように、上方に開口すると共に、バスバー21を収容可能に図2における左側方以外の三つの側方を保持する壁部33(33A,33B,33C)と、バスバー21が載置される底壁33Dを備える。
保持部32には、図1、図2および図3に示すように、後壁33Aの上端から連なるヒンジ40を介して第1蓋部41が一体に設けられている。第1蓋部41は、ヒンジ40を軸中心として回動可能とされ、第1蓋部41を閉じたときに、保持部32全体及び導出溝45の一部が覆われるようになっている。
導出溝45は、保持部32から導出された電圧検知端子25のバレル部26Bと、バレル部26Bに圧着された検知電線Wが配される部材であり、保持部32と電線収容部50とを連通する溝状の部材である。導出溝45は凹状をなしており、単電池11の並び方向と略垂直な方向に設けられている。詳しくは、導出溝45は、保持部32の前壁33Bの開口部333を貫通して保持部32と連通するとともに、電線収容部50の後側溝壁部52A(詳細は後述)の開口部52Cを貫通して電線収容部50に連通するように設けられている。
電線収容部50は、単電池11の並び方向に延びる一対の溝壁部52および一対の溝壁部52をつなぐ底壁部53によって断面凹状に構成されている。保持ユニット31同士を連結することで、電線収容部50が連結され、単電池11の並び方向に連通する1本の溝(電線収容溝51)が形成される。
電線収容部50には、図2および図3に示すように、前側溝壁部52Bの側面から連なるヒンジ54を介して第2蓋部55が一体に設けられている。第2蓋部55は、ヒンジ54を軸中心として回動可能とされ、第2蓋部55を閉じたときに、電線収容部50全体が覆われるようになっている(図1参照)。第2蓋部55の側縁には、閉蓋時に導出溝45をその上方から覆うとともに、第2蓋部55を係止する一対の第2係止片57が設けられた延出蓋部56が延設されている。第2係止片57は延出蓋部56の幅方向における両側縁から突設されている。第2係止片57は、導出溝45の幅方向両側に設けた第2係止溝47により係止されるようになっている。
次に、隣り合う保持ユニット31同士を連結するための連結構造について説明する。第2保持ユニット31Bの一対の第1係止溝46と隣接する位置には、図2及び図3に示すように、隣り合う保持ユニット31同士を連結する連結係合爪48と、連結係合爪48と係合可能な連結係合凹部49が設けられている。図示右側の第1係止溝46の右側に連結係合爪48が設けられ、図示左側の第1係止溝46の左側に連結係合凹部49が設けられている。
第2保持ユニット31Bの保持部32に保持されるバスバー21は、銅、銅合金、ステンレス鋼、アルミニウム等の金属からなる板材を所定形状にプレス加工してなる。バスバー21の表面には、スズ、ニッケル等に金属がメッキされていてもよい。バスバー21の長手方向(図3および図4における左右方向)の寸法は、隣り合う単電池11の電極端子12A,12B間の寸法に応じて設定される。
第2保持ユニット31Bの保持部32において、バスバー21の上に重ね合わされる電圧検知端子25は、図3に示すように、平板状の本体部26Aと、本体部26Aから連なり検知電線Wが圧着されるバレル部26Bを備える。本体部26Aの中心部には、バスバー21の一対の貫通孔23のいずれか一方と重なるように配されて、バスバー21の一方の貫通孔23に挿通される電極端子12の電極ポスト13Bを挿通可能な挿通孔27が貫通して形成されている。挿通孔27は、バスバー21の貫通孔23よりもわずかに大きく形成されている。
次に第1保持ユニット31Aについて説明する。第1保持ユニット31Aは、図1、図5および図6に示すように、バスバー21および電圧検知端子25を収容し保持する保持部60,83、電圧検知端子25に接続された検知電線Wを導出する導出溝72,92、および導出溝72,92から導出された電圧検知端子25の検知電線Wを収容する電線収容部76,95を、それぞれ2つずつ備えている。第1保持ユニット31Aにおいて、2つの電線収容部76,95は第1保持ユニット31Aの略中央に形成された連結部98により連なっており、2つの保持部60,83は、それぞれ蓋部66,69,89により覆われるようになっている。そして、これらの部材は一体的に形成されている。
第1保持部60には電極端子12と外部機器(図示せず)とを接続するための外部接続バスバー80が収容されている。この第1保持部60の左側には、隣接する第2保持ユニット31Bの保持部32の右側壁84Dが配されることで、当該第2保持ユニット31Bに保持されているバスバー21と第1保持部60の外部接続バスバー80とは非接触状態に保持されている。
第1導出溝72は、第1保持部60から導出された電圧検知端子25のバレル部26Bと、バレル部26Bに圧着された検知電線Wが配される部材であり、第1保持部60と第1電線収容部76とを連通する溝状の部材である。第1導出溝72は凹状をなしており、単電池11の並び方向と略垂直な方向に設けられている。詳しくは、第1導出溝72は、第1保持部60の前壁61Aの開口部613を貫通して第1保持部60と連通するとともに、第1電線収容部76の後側溝壁部77Aの開口部77Cを貫通して第1電線収容部76に連通するように設けられている。
第1電線収容部76は、単電池11の並び方向に延びる一対の溝壁部77(後側溝壁部77A、前側溝壁部77B)および一対の溝壁部77をつなぐ底壁部78によって断面凹状に構成されている。隣接する第2保持ユニット31Bに連結することで、第2保持ユニット31Bの電線収容部50と第1保持ユニット31Aの第1電線収容部76とが連結され、単電池11の並び方向に連通する1本の溝(電線収容溝51)が形成される。
第1保持ユニット31Aの第1保持部60に保持される外部接続バスバー80は、図6に示すように、左側に電極端子12の電極ポスト13Bが挿通される貫通孔81Aが形成され、右側に外部機器と接続されるボルト状の外部接続端子82を挿通可能な外部端子接続孔81Bが突出形成されている。外部接続バスバー80の貫通孔81Aも、バスバー21の貫通孔23と同様に、単電池11の並び方向(図1における左右方向)を長手方向とする長円状をなしており、単電池11の製造公差や組み付け公差に起因する隣り合う電極端子12A,12B間のピッチのずれを吸収可能となっている。外部接続バスバー80は、上述した第2保持ユニット31Bの保持部32に保持されるバスバー21と同様の材料から構成される。
第1保持ユニット31Aの第1保持部60に保持される電圧検知端子25は第2保持ユニット31Bに保持されるものと同じ構成のものである。電圧検知端子25は、第1保持部60において、第2突片28Bが第1保持部60の後壁61Bの端子係止部63に受け入れられて係止されるようになっている。
第2保持部83(接続部材を保持する保持部の一例)には、電極端子12,12間を接続するバスバー21が収容されている。この第2保持部83の左側には、隣接する第2保持ユニット31Bの開放端34が配されている。しかしながら、第1保持ユニット31Aの第2保持部83にはバスバー21の周縁を包囲する包囲壁84(包囲壁の一例)が設けられているので、第2保持ユニット31Bに保持されているバスバー21とは非接触状態である。
第2導出溝92は、第2保持部83から導出された電圧検知端子25のバレル部26Bと、バレル部26Bに圧着された検知電線Wが配される部材であり、第2保持部83と第2電線収容部95とを連通する溝状の部材である。第2導出溝92は凹状をなしており、単電池11の並び方向と略垂直な方向に設けられている。詳しくは、第2導出溝92は、第2保持部83の後壁84Bの開口部843を貫通して第2保持部83と連通するとともに、第2電線収容部95の前側溝壁部96Bの開口部96Cを貫通して第2電線収容部95に連通するように設けられている。
第2電線収容部95は、単電池11の並び方向に延びる一対の溝壁部96および一対の溝壁部96をつなぐ底壁部97によって断面凹状に構成されている。第1保持ユニット31Aを隣接する第2保持ユニット31Bに連結することで、第2保持ユニット31Bの電線収容部50と第1保持ユニット31Aの第1電線収容部76とが連結され、単電池11の並び方向に連通する1本の溝(電線収容溝51)が形成される。
第1保持ユニット31Aの第2保持部83に保持されるバスバー21は、図1および図6に示すように、第2保持ユニット31Bに保持されるバスバー21と同形同大で、同一の材料から構成されるものである。
第1保持ユニット31Aの第2保持部83に保持される電圧検知端子25は、第2保持ユニット31Bに保持されるものおよび第1保持ユニット31Aの第1保持部60に保持されるものと同じ構成のものである。第2保持部83に保持される電圧検知端子25の第2突片28Bは、第2保持部83の前壁84Aの端子係止部86に受け入れられて係止されるようになっている。
次に電池配線モジュール20の組み付け方法について説明する。
まず、第2保持ユニット31Bにバスバー21を取り付け、第1保持ユニット31Aにバスバー21および外部接続バスバー80を取り付ける。
以下、本実施形態の作用および効果について説明する。
本実施形態においては、樹脂プロテクタ30の保持部83(第1保持ユニット31Aの第2保持部83)の包囲壁84の内壁にはバスバー21の面取り状の角部21Aを覆うように配される弾性片85Bが設けられた第2抜け止め突部85が形成されている(図15を参照)。つまり、本実施形態においては包囲壁84の内壁に突出形成された第2抜け止め突部85に弾性片85Bが設けられているので、包囲壁84の外壁にスリット等の切り欠き部分を形成しなくても、バスバー21の抜け止めのための構造を設けることができる。その結果、本実施形態によれば、第1保持ユニット31Aの第2保持部83からバスバー21が露出しないので、バスバー21と単電池11周辺に配される部材との接触による短絡を防止した電池配線モジュール20を提供することができる。
本発明は上記記述及び図面によって説明した実施形態に限定されるものではなく、例えば次のような実施形態も本発明の技術的範囲に含まれる。
(1)上記実施形態では複数の保持ユニット31を連結してなる樹脂プロテクタ30を示したが、複数の保持部を有する一体物の樹脂プロテクタであってもよい。
(2)上記実施形態では端部に配される第1保持ユニット31Aの第2保持部83の包囲壁84に、抜け止め突部85を設けた例を示したが、端部以外に配される保持ユニットの保持部に包囲壁を設けて、内壁側に突出する抜け止め突部を形成してもよい。
(3)上記実施形態では、第1保持ユニット31Aの第2保持部83に接続するバスバー21と、第2保持ユニット31Bの保持部に接続するバスバー21を同じ形状としたが、2つのバスバーは相違する形状のものであってもよい。
(4)上記実施形態では第2電線収容部95の前側溝壁部96Bが第1保持ユニット31Aの包囲壁84の第2抜け止め片87と対応して形成された絶縁保持部として機能する例を示したが、電線収容部とは別の絶縁板を第2抜けとめ片に対応して配置してもよい。
(5)上記実施形態では、包囲壁84の内壁側に突設した端子係止部86を示したが、包囲壁の一部を貫通しない程度にくりぬく等により端子係止部を形成してもよい。また、第1保持ユニットは端子係止部のない保持部を備えるものであってもよい。
(6)上記実施形態では、バスバー21の挿入方向の相違する二種の保持ユニット31A,31Bを有する樹脂プロテクタ30を示したが、全ての保持部がバスバー21を保持ユニットの組み付け方向から挿入可能な保持部であってもよい。

前記包囲壁の内壁には、前記接続部材の前記面取り状の角部を覆うように配されて前記接続部材を抜け止めする撓み変形可能な弾性片が設けられた抜け止め突部が突出形成されている電池配線モジュール。 - 前記保持部の前記包囲壁には、前記接続部材の前記角部以外の部分を覆うように配される抜け止め部が設けられる一方、
前記保持部の前記包囲壁の外側には、前記抜け止め部と対応して、前記接続部材の絶縁状態を保持する絶縁保持部が形成されている請求項1に記載の電池配線モジュール。 - 前記保持部には、前記接続部材とともに、電圧検知端子が収容可能とされ、
前記包囲壁の内壁には、前記電圧検知端子を係止することにより前記接続部材を抜け止めする端子係止部が突設または凹設されている請求項1または請求項2に記載の電池配線モジュール。
