Abstract

The present invention relates to a sonar device attached to a hull and a vessel having the sonar device, and comprises: a hydrophone unit provided with one or more hydrophones for sensing an underwater sound signal and outputting thereinto an electric signal; a receiving unit in which the hydrophone unit is placed; and a sonar unit for accommodating the hydrophone unit and the receiving unit, and equipped with a housing formed so as to enable the sound signal to pass through, wherein the sonar unit is attached to the side surface of the vessel in a protruding form or in an immersion form. Thus, detection performance for mid- and low frequency sound is enhanced through the change of an array length of the sonar device by mutually connecting the required number of unit sonar modules according to the length of the vessel and the like, and a sound wave is easily detected even during high mobility or rest.
