Abstract

Disclosed is a method for compensating for the speed of a vehicle. The method for compensating for the speed of a vehicle according to the present invention is configured to deliver information on a change in tire radius to an electronic control device (such as a transmission control unit (TCU)) via a scanner, and accurately calculate the vehicle speed on the basis of the information on the change in tire radius, which is received from the electronic control device (such as a TCU). Therefore, the present invention dramatically improves the accuracy in calculating vehicle speed, using only components which are already in use in vehicles.
