Abstract

Provided herein are assays for detecting the presence of soybean event pDAB4472-1606 (Event 1606). The assays can be based on the DNA sequence of the recombinant construct, inserted into the soybean genome, and on the genomic sequences flanking the insertion site. The disclosure also relates in part to endpoint TaqMan PCR assays for the detection of Event 1606 that expresses AAD-12 in soybeans. Some assays are capable of high throughput zygosity analysis. These and other related procedures can be used to uniquely identify the zygosity of and breed soybean lines comprising the event disclosed. Kits and conditions useful in conducting these assays are also provided.
