Abstract
참조 화소들의 특성을 이용하여 예측모드 정보의 전송을 생략할 수 있는 화면 내 예측 부호화/복호화 장치 및 그 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 화면 내 예측 부호화 장치는, 부호화하고자 하는 현재블록 주변의 참조 화소들 중 적어도 하나를 선택하여 방향성에 관한 특성정보를 산출하는 특성정보 산출부; 특성정보 산출부에 의해 산출된 상기 방향성에 관한 특성정보를 기 설정된 기준값과 비교하는 비교부; 비교부에 의해 비교된 결과가 설정된 조건을 만족하는 경우, 현재블록에 대한 예측모드를 선택된 참조 화소에 대응하는 모드로 결정하는 예측모드 결정부; 및 비교된 결과가 설정된 조건을 만족하면 결정된 모드에 의한 예측블록과 현재블록의 잔차를 부호화하며, 결정된 모드에 대한 모드정보의 부호화를 생략하는 부호화부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
