Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé de montage d'un ensemble palier à roulement (1) sur un véhicule (H, F, S), cet ensemble comprenant un palier cible (15) comprenant une bague intérieure (31), une bague extérieure (33), pouvant tourner par rapport à la bague intérieure (31), autour d'un axe de rotation (X-X') de l'ensemble (1), une bague d'impulsion (5) et un élément d'étanchéité (11). Cet ensemble comprend également un cache (9) de bague d'impulsion, et une unité capteur (7) comprenant au moins un élément de détection (71) conçu pour lire la bague d'impulsion (5). Ce procédé comprend les étapes consistant à a) ajuster par pression la bague extérieure (33) du palier cible (15) dans un moyeu (H) du véhicule, b) ajuster par pression le cache (9) dans la bague intérieure (31) du palier cible (15), et c) positionner l'élément de détection (71) contre le cache (9) et fixer l'unité de détection (7) à une partie fixe (F) du véhicule.
