Abstract

The purpose of the system and method is to analyze and optimize the execution performance of one or more projects, in particular the processing of intellectual property assets, more specifically patent applications. One or more projects are defined and structured and specific historical data compiled in order to assess the execution performance of the group of projects on the basis of the average time required to fully process a work package and on the average number of these packages to be processed. The more efficient the project, the lower the average time and average number of packages being processed. The system and method may also be used in intellectual property offices, improving the efficiency of the process, such as in patent applications, trademark registrations, computer program registrations, industrial designs, geographical indications, technology transfer contracts, integrated circuits, etc. Specifically in patents, analysis and optimization may apply to the administrative, technical or administrative and technical processes of an office, integration between different offices, offices that are part of the Patent Cooperation Treaty, it being possible to analyze and optimize from a single procedure to the entire international flow of patent applications through the different offices around the world.
