Abstract

A portable pulse meter according to the present invention comprises: a pulse measuring unit attached to a portion of a wrist over the radial artery to measure a pulse; a band unit embedded with a wireless receiver part tightly contacting the pulse measuring part to receive measured pulse information; and a main body unit including a display part connected to the band unit to display the pulse information received from the wireless receiver part. In addition, the portable pulse meter employs a pressure sensor and a wireless transmission/reception technology to minimize the pressure felt by a patient, to thereby alleviate his/her discomfort.
